Job, another great video. I have been doing architecture for over 30 years and I hit creative burn out sometimes. Most of the time I draw on computers but since January of this year I have challenged my self to try and draw by hand at least once a day for 15 - 30 min. This helps to get me out ruts. Also I don't draw architecture, I try and just draw patterns. Just working with ink, pens and paper gets me back in the groove. I really want that watercolor set now that I have seen it twice. I will try to get to the next pop up and I hope you bring one for me to purchase. Also, sorry you missed the last O.C. Pen Club meet, it was packed. Hope to see you at the next one.
Great video! The summer is here in Japan, so I've been largely scared off from going on neighbourhood walks, lol. I'll probably hibernate until October.

Hi Job! I love your week in images spread you’ve done in your TN passport dated weekly! I’m really not one to draw because I have such a harsh inner critic but playing with watercolor looks like so much fun.. that I may need to try this! What kinds of pens work well under watercolor?

p.s. this was a great reminder of what it looks like to meet yourself right where you are. I hope to learn how to be more kind to myself too. 😌
The first step is to just surrender to the flow and put ink to paper. It does not have to look like anything at all ( or even good, that comes later with practice ) Just have fun with the inks, paper and paint. I try to draw by hand at least once a day for a few min. just to get a feel for it. As for the inks, anything permanent or waterproof will work, part of the fun is the experimentation with pens, inks and paper.

I pick up new hobbies when im burnt...i realize this as im currently watching you feeling hella burnt out with my latest hobby acquisition. Cross stitch, send help the kettle can't remain on the stove without water but the well is dry
