in a summary.. dwan read him like a book
exactly
With the greatest of respect to Tom, that wasn't exactly a difficult read.
Wesley snap shows AK like it’s the nuts 😂
Yeah that was pretty strange..
I think he was sure Dwan had a AQ. On the other hand, even if you know your hand is probably no good, you must make the showdown instead muck because you are sure of nothing.
@@fantaisium3894lol right dwan would have “AQ” here
yeah lol - if you're dwan and you hear that and see that reaction your heart would sink for a second before seeing the cards im sure lol
Watching this live was by far the most exciting hand I’ve ever seen. Dwan’s hand not registering added so much excitement. You could just feel the tension from Wesley it was insane. I remember the chat just exploding with goat emojis for like 30 minutes after the hand.
Tom Dwan is one of my favorite poker players of all time. Hes on another level
I miss watching Tom Dwan,my favorite poker player.
Doug put himself in tom’s crosshairs multiple times in this game. He’s making himself sweat in a hand he’s not even involved in, until he notices he is, giving Tom an even better read on Wesley in the process, it’s priceless. I personally would have placed Wesley on AA, especially after Doug’s “I know what you have” act. Glad Tom didn’t psych himself out of this hand. Durrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Looks like dwan hasnt showered in weeks in this interview
And hasn't seen the sun😂
online poker players dont need to shower or take sun baths
dude owes 30 mil for multiple rich bizz fucks
Looks like he did, hair is wet.
He's a scumbag their
I watched it live. About 5-10 hands earlier Doug Polk was bluffed off a 1.5 million dollar pot. Doug had pocket AA and would have won. Great live stream night.
Nah that was way early on in the night not 5-10 hands ago
I dont necessarily agree that wesley wont do the same with aces or even kings, although dwans call of a huge raise pf and on the flop honestly narrowed down tom's hand to pretty much QQ KK or AA that is trapping. It ultimately boils down to does Wesley think he can bluff Dwan off QQ or even KK at this point
Tom, pay your debts!
the biggest mistake is that Wesley let Doug see the hand. And that is a clue for Dwan
Dwan looks like he gambles tooooooo much
he knows bankroll management better than anyone, don't worry about that. His net worth is probably in the 20M
@@germaincasseBro he backed out of his own challenge
That looks like the Intercontinental Park lane, London 2nd floor. How’s that for a read. 😅
Imagine winning $3M in one poker hand and still too broke to pay your backers.
What do you mean? What's the story?
@@marcelopf Living under a rock? He owes a bunch of people millions, he's spent at least a decade and a half paying back Jungleman for money he lost to him in a HU battle on Full Tilt Poker in the late 2000s.
@@itskmillz I was aware about the Full Tilt thing with Jungle. Dwan admitted to that. As far as owing to other people, (Voulgaris, Peter Jetten), looks like a he said, she said kind of thing so far.
because you know the facts
@@marcelopf not really, he isn't denying the debts just ignoring them
That was actually a tough call.
easiest big pots for Tom "let me borrow X-amount ot cash just for two weeks".
All these pots and he still can't pay ppl back what he owes lol
He also had a shirt that said BLEFF on it 😂
Tom Dwan is best Romulan Poker player.
just imagine if dwan had lost that pot 😮
analysis: Dwan never folds an overpair.
Wesley owes his dad 2 millions 😂😂
Like a lot of guys who enjoy poker, I used to think Tom Dwan was a freak of nature. Making it to the highest stakes in the world by 20 years old. So to hear he's now tens of millions in debt and owes everybody is a real shame. I hope he can eventually get out of it, and not end up like Erick Lindgren or a lot of the other mid 2000's pros.
Him potentially owing a ton of money isn't, in any way, directly correlated to his skill level and especially doesn't reflect how far ahead of the game he was back in the day. No he couldn't beat online today without significant study but he's clearly the favorite in most live line ups. Agree with you though I hope he figures it out. Seems like a decent guy who maybe made a ton of bad choices.
@@TiltyFishPoker I hear you, but I completely disagree. Money is how we keep score. It absolutely correlates to skill level, especially as the sample size is over many years. For him to lose and owe the way he does, he has to have been consistently outplayed by many. Obviously playing far above your bankroll can influence the speed and size of your downfall, but he has to have been outplayed too. Owing that much is not an aberration. We can agree that he was far ahead of his time, and ushered in a new and more effective style of play. And like you I also wish him well, and hope he can turn it around. But his significant losses have to correlate to skill level. Maybe you meant natural talent, rather than skill?
Because morons like you think they are special lol. All it takes is a good run and then some backing from sponsors for tournaments and suddenly a player is some amazing player. Anyone with a decent grasp of basic strategy and maths can beat these players in reality.
@@marquettegloves9907I still think he is very skilled, and I don’t think the debt is necessarily and indicator of him not being skilled anymore. Getting that much in the hole is definitely a result of bad decisions and punting. Poor decisions and the lack of application of his skill is probably what got him there.
he is skilled, anyone in their early 20s can play on big occasion has to be talented. he later come to China and hit a downfall. as all the old gamblers in China used to say: the money is made by good gamblers, not good card players. he might be a bad gambler, or he might be cheated in Macau
Is enough to buy a lot of happy meals.
to pay a small part of his massive debt you mean ?
Wesely is playing with his own money…and money doesn’t last forever. Wesley will always remember this moment bluffing away millions of dollars to none other than Tom Dwan. Sickening and heartbreaking…
its not his money, he sold at least 60% action
@@MyGreeedit is his own money for Wesley.
@@MyGreeed Wesley is good for around 100mill USD ofc he plays with his own money
Dwan combs his hair with a potato
how we comment the Doug looking Tom then second time drinking water? meaning the other player has nothing....
6:00 don’t really understand how Wesley’s head down means he doesn’t have AA/KK. hindsight bias is real
It’s a very polarizing thing to do. You must be 100% you’re bluffing or have the best hand. With KK you can’t do that as you are beat still by some hands + AA, with AA also can’t really be so quickly sure you’re always good there like you have the nuts. That’s the idea tom’s trying to get through. Don’t underestimate the experience he has in 20years of playing the highest stakes live.
@@sneakerworldromania32 it is polarizing, but KK is still viable as a semi bluff, AA is essentially the nuts in this hand due to the action pre. Seems odd that dwan considers A8s to be viable in a 5 bet pot, especially with the sizings, but what do i know, i play NL50 lol
you play 50NL and you call KK a semi bluff? 😂 i guess i just play in the wrong pool because my 50NL opponents are not this clueless @@ColdestTEDI
Yup and if he had AA/KK he is 3betting and not flatting the 7k open. Dwan just guessed right and like you said, hindsight is 20/20
@@carlo.demichelis considering dwan considers A8s as a hand in his range, wesley most likely also has 88, so yes in this spot, when dwans range is largely uncapped (aces are incentivised to keep worse hands in) KK cannot be feeling amazing in this spot. Especially if dwan also has those hands in his range
5:33 what’s the point of tanking if you’ve already made up your mind
its for almost a million and there are over two million allready in the pot
I assume you should give it a thought
great analysis and makes you understand how deeply Durr thinks and analysis.. he is like a phycopathic serial killer who lured his victim in and later was surprised at the shove due to self doubt and shere size of the pots , but eventually made the call cos putting a Nit on that one bluff over a long period of time and how he wanted to impress everyone at the table by bluffing a legend like dwan kicked into him.. he wanted that kinda recognition and admiration to make Tom look like a fool and appear like a genius deep down .. so even after the call was made, he was so sure that dwan would fold or in his mind he wanted to make dwan fold so bad so that he could show the bluff and reep all the accolades.. Classic example of GLORY HUNT gone wrong!
lo vista in diretta secondo me a rischiato ad arrivare al river
lol why did Doug even say anything
Tom red Doug Not Wesley though. Last time I seen them play together
He owes everyone so much money
because you know the facts
@gulfbreeze76 it’s true lmao have you been living under a rock ?
А потом он выпьет пиво
Imagine testing a read for 275k
Polk and wesley belong at the kiddy game down the street, acting like that and in a game with Dwan of all people 🤣
Pot. Not pots!
You gotta understand at the poker table.. can't be loosey goosey eating sandwiches brah
Tom is still in my top 3, he has given me some incredible poker moments and was the first of his kind, a poker enigma.
But he should NEVER of joined Tritan and started messing about with the dodgy Chinese billionaires. Rumour has it he is now millions of debt and it has to of started when he got involved with Tritan.
Especially when I see him play with like 7/2 off suit for a million. It’s shit like that, that gets you in poker debt.
Tom if you are reading this can i get back the 5k i lent you at the Aria last year?? Tried messaging you on the socials but seems ive been blocked :(
Wtff?
I lives on the street with 20 bucks in my pocket but i'm still richer than Tom Dwan (30m in debt)!
❤
Dwan looks like the janitor at my laundry shop who directs me where to go to get to the change machine. Dude is a killer though.
watched vid the other day where he lost millions...
good, now he can pay back the litany of creditors he has been dodging and owes. never lend tom dwan money
Read is based off the fact that Doug wouldn t say "I like that"if he had aces or kings
Should do top 10 people Durrr owes money 2 😅😅😅😂😂😂
I too can lose millions of other people’s money if I had the chance. This fool owes millions to a lot of people. Amazing losing Poker player, like most of these fools it’s all smoke and mirrors.
Dwan reeks of arrogance in this interview. Too bad he still owes the Triads around $30 million
Too bad you’ll never be any good at poker
Someone's ass hurt in life and probably crying over 10k in credit card debt. What a distasteful comment.
Doesn't seem arrogant at all to me. I do believe he still owes a lot of people a lot of money though.
He is a thief
@@savvyinvestor how is it distasteful? dwan is a weasel and owes a lot of people money haha
Botton line, Donkey should have never interacted with Doug and showed him his hand.
Oh shush, you guessed right thats it, nothing more, nothing less
Cringe
Tom has cheated, there's many proves about that. Don't have pay his losses. Like his style to play much, but no't that kind of bullshitt.
This dude cringe af
