I’m so happy to see Ricky sing alot in ZB1. During Boy’s Planet he wasn’t given alot of singing opportunities so to see him sing so much after debuting makes me so happy😊 Official positions haven’t been confirmed but you can definitely tell that Ricky is a lead vocalist just from the parts he gets!! If you listen to their b-sides he EATS THE F OUT OF THE BRIDGES!!!!
I don't watch survival shows so I went into Zb1 with no expectations. As I knew no members this is basically just like any other debut to me. On that note, WHAT A DEBUT!!!! I'm really surprised how they did that with such a busy song but you can hear everyone's distinct voices so clearly. Their individual colors really get to shine. It's also been a while since I've had summer bg songs that actually made it into my go to playlist so let's gooooo what a banger

This is my favorite debut of the year so far (along with kiss of life)! In Bloom is such a good song for all the members and the album is AMAZING.

I damn near feel emotional watching this with you as though it's my first time seeing it too but yeah after just rewatching the finale this hits.
The last hurdle for a survival show group that you're already so invested in is whether or not you'll like the music and I just think this was perfect because it gave me what I expected from the members who really showed their talent in the show already and also allowed members who didn't to get to show off what they can really do.
The concept and bright freshness was perfect as well I saw a lot of people who weren't 100% convinced about the lineup change their mind after this dropped and their variety shows have won them a lot of fans too.

I started watching boys planet then was reminded how crushed I was the last two survival shows I watched live so I paused before I got attached to anyone. Now that ZB1 has debuted and I LOVE the song so much I'm excited to go back knowing the lineup and set my expectations to be a bit more analytical than emotional lol.
The album is solid!
We all want them to be permanent but I don't think Yuehua would like that 😂😂😂.

I watched BP as it was airing and then to see them debute is just a pleasure to watch❤❤🎉🎉🎉
mnet has this thing where they really don’t be treating their Chinese trainees right (which is why in survival show groups there have either no Chinese members who made it or only one) and of course Hao was always up for 1st place and he always got first place in the song missions so they couldn’t do anything to him.
But with the other Chinese trainees they literally only showed their bad moments and I can’t think of a single one who was portrayed in a positive light. With Ricky they barely gave him any screen time and the screen time they gave him was never in a positive light, either his groups were in conflict or he was making a mistake or he just looked expressionless for the “reactions” aspect of the show. So for him to make it was a big shock and for him to get so many lines as well and it just makes me feel so happy that he got as many parts as Hanbin because he has a really pretty voice. Hopefully they continue with how well everything is currently going from their company’s end.

I haven't watched the show because I got dissapointed with survival shows too many times already (you guys, remember Mix9)... Anyways, I decided I won't watch those shows anymore lmao. But this debut is actually fun, I'm interested. Great song. I'm actually gonna watch live stages if there are any already. I wonder if I'd like the album.. Good luck to these guys.

totally understand wanting to avoid survival shows! i watched boys planet while it was airing, and i’m personally glad i did cuz i got so attached and thought it was worth it, but it was also an emotional roller coaster 😅 i would recommend checking out some of the stages from the show, though! i could happily give you a list of my faves haha

@@me9981 omg ok, i tried not to go too overboard! but there was a LOT of stages and a lot that i really liked. i listed out my favorites/top recommendation and which zb1 members were in those performances:
- jelly pop: hao, matthew, gunwook
- hot summer: hanbin, jiwoong, taerae, ricky, gyuvin, yujin
- kill this love (g-team): hao, matthew
- back door (k-team): jiwoong, taerae, yujin
- tomboy: hanbin, hao, gunwook
and in case you do feel like checking out more after all those, here are my honorable mentions :)

can i recommend a group i’m surprised you haven’t reacted to yet? &team! u know you watched i-land and keep up with enhypen so i’ll mention some of the group members consist of four old iland contestants (including k and taki !!). they’re under hybe labels japan and their two title tracks we’ve gotten so far are incredible!
I know of &Team, I originally was watching &Audition, but I stopped to do something else and never went back to it. I was waiting until I finished the show but since I started working on other things it resulted in me still not checking them out!
@@anthonytoo will you consider reacting to them one day if you won’t get back into the show? ☺️ they have 4 music videos but i highly recommend “under the skin” (debut title) “scent of you” and “firework” (title, most recent) if you do so! i have a feeling you would enjoy them.
ZB1 doesn't have a strong rapline imo so I hope they continue to release more songs like this (and like their EP). Songs where you don't need to have a rap portion just because everyone expects idols to have a rapline. Let these boys sing. I think Gyuvin and Yunjin are better vocalists than rappers so I prefer them singing. Gunwook and Jiwoong I like their rap, especially Gunwook, but it seems like they both prefer singing haha.
On the flipside, I don't know if you have seen it yet but there is another Boys Planet project group coming out soon. They're called EVNNE (pronounced as "even"). They're like the opposite of ZB1 where almost half of them are rappers haha. It consists of:
- Keita
- Park Hanbin
- Lee Jeong Hyeon
- Yoo Seung Eon
- Ji Yun Seo - he was in Backdoor performance, I don't really know him
- Mun Jung Hyun - he was in the Gang performance, I don't really know him
- Park Ji Hoo - he was in the Limousine performance, I was very high on him as a talent so I'm glad to see him here
Anyways, I agree. It would be nice if they were a permanent group, but I highly doubt it because of company politics. They'll probably go the Wanna One route after disbandment. Some will debut as actors, some will debut in new idol groups, some as solo artists. Though, whenever they do those reunion performances, it'll make you feel emotions haha.
Also sidenote, basically you have a new Yue Hua boy group already by combining ZB1 and EVNNE YueHua members haha. Zhang Hao, Ricky, Gyu Vin, Yun Jin, Seung Eon, and Yun Seo.
Gunwook prefers rap and has said he wants to rap on their future songs.
Gunwook constantly says he prefers rapping and wants to show more of it 😭
