I loved Kim Tae Rae's vocals in this song, so golden! And found Gun Wook's vocals complemented Tae Rae, I hope the producers utilize this vocal duo more so that will expand Gun Wook's range in their discography. And Seok Matthew! What a joy to see his smile again!

I think the little pause after the prechorus should've happened on the 2nd prechorus, that way you already know what it sounds like with no jarring stop, that may be why you found the song in the mv weird but enjoyed it in the live ver, because you could hear the song in its entirety. I noticed this is why people found nmixx's debut polarizing, it was already strange sounding but the pause in the song was too long in the mv, and the mv is what everyone heard first.
This is so true. Its momentum was lost after the pause, and I felt it was too long. The pause should have been placed before 2nd pre-chorus. And the music version without pause is REALLY GOOD I love it personally. And I too agree with how u mentioned Nmixx’s debut mv, the long pause made it even more confusing than it already is. They should just let the music flow through and let the audience sink in before it gets through our brain feeling weird. And I love how we are discussing this honestly, rationally and respectfully before fans coming and say we’re haters lol
@@alwaysmycamera I actually still really did like the song on first listen, but I think of another gg's debut song: black mamba, which also had a big, even longer than zb1's pause before chorus only they did it the 2nd time around, which made it more climactic because you heard the part once and know what to expect by the 2nd chorus only for it to pause. I'm sure that's what w1 was going for, so I was frustrated when I realized they did it on the first hook instead of the 2nd time around which just does the opposite.

I agree you can definitely hear the vocals and the flow of the song better just listening to the audio on different platforms and from the debut showcase! I personally loved New Kidz on the Block and the performance for it because Matthew, Jiwoong and Gunwooks voices fit together really well with the vibe of the song and I liked all of Matthew's adlib vocals a ton there!!
I was there throughout BP journey, I'm so proud of the boys. The album overall sounds great, guys have great vocals. They released studio choom for In Bloom, i highly recommend watching it as song is uninterrupted and shows off neat choreo.

in my opinion every mnet survival group's debut mv has been pretty basic/seemingly slightly low budget from i.o.i/w1 all the way to kep1er, so I didn't expect anything much from the MV! however, the song and choreography are amazing and I am so excited to not have a bg debuting rn with noise music. reminds me of astro's debut era a bit (and energetic!). very excited for their future
For debut, I'd say yeah the budget always seems low except for X1. Their debut looked hella expensive. But as the groups have more comebacks, their mv's usually start looking more and more expensive.

I don't think its popularity was at same level like energetic but still a lot more well received than what I'm seeing for In bloom and definitely a better MV than energetic and in bloom. Honestly it's quite surprising bcoz zb1 having such numbers of pre-orders, I thought maybe they might get a much higher budget MV but they didn't, unlike X1 who didn't have these types of numbers before debut and still had a great looking MV. I don't know why couldn't they have a better MV when the "short film" or video that they had was a much better production. Idk but I felt the MV was underwhelming. I think except for IOI's dream girl, this MV would rank the lowest among the rest of the debuts. I did try to lower my expectation since this has been a pattern for all mnet groups but seeing the short video, I kinda started hoping for a better MV. I'm not surprised that the MV isn't High budget but honestly I feel like given the numbers the group has racked up, they honestly deserved better 😕. Nevertheless I'm looking forward to the comebacks more now hoping for it to become better like they did with the other groups 😅
my BIGGEST pet-peeve in kpop is breaks in the song for some sort of narrative in the mv. I don't care how good the lore is or how cute the scene is, I want to listen to the song all together. Save those bits for before or after PLEASE
I get what you meant but that's what streaming is for. The whole point of an MV is to physically show the narrative in whatever order they feel is best
I agree with ur stand on the music video. When i first watched it, i was so confused on what the song is, but the moment i watched their stage, my view on the music changed since its better without the music video. But the mv isnt that bad at all it just doesnt fit the concept
I think the issue is more on the MV aswell, cause the song might not be the most catchy but it is one of those kpop songs that could work if done right in a music video. I think it would've really helped if the MV is shot in more real environment open spaces (more preferably an urban one). Cause the song as mentioned in the video has alot of abrupt changes and I think that would really work in open real environment with alot of wide shots to help the viewer get the vibe on what the song is trying to potray. A good example of what i think they couldve done in the MV is Run by BTS, mix with txt i know i love you with maybe the gradient of seventeens pretty u. The use of studio sets makes it feel enclosed and restricted really doesn't fit the vibe of the song. Anyways the album is great, "And I" has been on replay for me. Not a bad debut song at all tho I really do feel like they could've done more
Agree. I had the high expectation for the MV. The song, the vocal and the visual of the member is the one which stand out a lot. But sadly the MV is kinda mediocre, something lacking about the editing, camera shoot, etc. The members' visual help a lot to make this MV great, but other than that, the company and directors should do better for next comeback. ZB1 deserved more
