    I’m like nearly 5 years deep of first touching a guitar (acoustic) and this is definitely one of the best progress videos I’ve seen. Did everything In an appropriate order and timing and has ended up years ahead of a lot of people with quality and time. Using a pick is something I didn’t focus for most the time so far and I prioritised learning parts of songs I liked over learning anything the whole way through, which was not the right moves. Great video that hopefully helps others 🙌

    Some of the best guitarists, EVH, Zack, Slash, John 5, were practicing 18+ hours a day. Once you break the beginning threshold and begin making noticeable progress, it becomes easier and more fun. Making the switch from acoustic to electric makes a big difference also. Practice, practice, practice and more practice. Good job.

    I'm amazed. You have put so many effort in a short span of time, and even achieved great results. I have played guitar for almost ten years, but i'm lazy, and my technique is bad in consequence, lol.
    You made me change my mind and start to practice again. Thank you for the video!!

    That's how you do it, very small steps at first. The best thing I read about learning the guitar, or anything really, is it is like peeling a piece of tape off of a table that is stuck down very tight. It takes quite a while to get your fingernail under one corner and then it comes right off. I am also self taught, taught myself to read music (sheet music no tab), and taught myself the notes on the guitar. The first song I bought the sheet music for and learned to play was Stairway To Heaven. At some point my family learned it was me playing through the wall and not the radio and they all flipped. That song is an intermediate song to play but it sounds just like the original. And off I went.

    • @KathMoskvina

    • @KathMoskvina

      @@KathMoskvina thats why everyone wants you to start accoustic

    • @KathMoskvina
      @KathMoskvina  10 месяцев назад +1

      @Mrkva22296 if I understand your question correctly, In my opinion, some of the reasons are:
      - For acoustic guitars you don't need an amp to play.
      - Teachers advise acoustics because it's beneficial for fundamental skills (as I was told). And not every song can be played on an electric guitar, here I disagree because you technically can (it depends on the genre and style).
      - Some people prefer acoustic over electric because of their love for it. Additionally, we shouldn't forget classical guitars, which have lighter strings.
      Actually, it really depends on your ultimate goal. Personally, I have always wanted to play an electric. But if you love acoustic, go for it.
