I would totally live in that little apartment in the back of the shop, after a serious cleaning of that bathroom though... Congrats!

Rooting for you! New shop has great potential! It's scary taking that leap but as a buddy used to say, "Sometimes you just put your balls on the table, and hope the guy with the hammer has weak arms!" Go RAC Garage, keep moving forward!

That new shop looks nice. It sure will makes life a bit easier and work faster, when there is more room to work and stash your tools there.

Tell us one more time about that "Rome" building schedule !!! ALL of us car guys must have had ancestors on that project !!!
I am currently working on the "younger" of two projects that have yet to run since I have owned them. The 29 CCPU, known on my channel as "Old Hank" , that is 26+ years old. It was in storage for 2-3 years before that since I was already working on the 40 Tudor that I purchased in +- 1985..It's currently in storage since Covid caused the shop that was working on it to close.
Yea, they aren't "essential" like "house, kids, other responsibilities" !!! Still !!! At age 81 !!!

  • @pappabob29

Really difficult on camera to get a feel for the actual size of the new shop Sure looks like you would have 4-6 times the space you now have in your garage. How about power ?? Does it have adequate electrical power for all of your tools (amperage and "phases" ) ??
Renting out "storage" space would expose you to LOTS of liability from fire/theft/ etc !! Not a good idea. ???
Could you "sublet" the apartment to a single guy or ?? who wouldn't mind the noise associated with your work ??? If so, get it in writing !! Looks like a nice place !!!
