  • In early December 2001, Blur frontman and Gorillaz creator Damon Albarn spoke to ITN about his recent statement against the war in Afghanistan at the 2001 MTV Europe Awards. While collecting his gong on stage, Albarn told the audience that "bombing one of the poorest countries in the world is wrong". Behind the scenes of the making of Charts of Darkness, a promotional Gorillaz mockumentary, Albarn explained the reasoning behind his anti-war statement, and discussed his family's history of conscientious objection as well as what he perceived as the music industry's increasing detachment from reality.

Thanks! It was recorded in 2001, they're filming The Charts of Darkness mocumentary here and it premiered on Channel 4 on December 11, 2001. Was it shown in some tv program on February 3, 2002?

Seeing extra footage of the filming of one of my favourite things Gorillaz have made (Charts of Darkness) is a dream come true. Thank you ITN.

Thank you, so perfectly on point 🙏🏽

He and his band mates should be ashamed the way they treated NARDWAUR at an interview. Nothing short of bulling.

Hey do you maybe have content of Avril Lavigne?

  • @lauralumaka

    Thank you!
