AWESOME👍
I am starting to suspect that Felix Immler is actually a serial killer, hiding in plain sight. Nobody is this nice.
Excellent video felix.
Could you please do a video on other applications for this tensioner?
Eg.. Using it for ridge lines, guy lines and as a substitute for the truckers hitch etc etc etc
In US we know that piece of wood as a "toggle". Your video is highly professional, doable and effective
Will that work with natural cord like hemp or sisal?
Thanks from Ireland.
Thanks for watching!!
video by Felix is an instant like
Thank you very much!!
Man, do I love this channel. I´m planning to get a Victorinox Huntsman thanks to this man
Super cool. Thanks a lot!
RUclipsrs EXCEL at spending other people's money. 😜
Huntsman is a great choice.
The huntsman is good but if you dont drink wine your best choice is fieldmaster dont have a wine opener and this place is a Philips drive !
@Artur Iskrzycki Cork screw versus knots - Correct .
@@7LifeOutdoor I've carried a Huntsman for about 4 years now. It's the first thing to go in my pocket in the morning and the last thing I put down at night. I use every tool on it regularly (except maybe the hook). The corkscrew and mini screwdriver have so many uses. Felix did a whole series on SAK uses and in most, he used a Huntsman.
Simple, eco, it works and it’s free...... Perfect 👌
Nice. I love Swiss army knives. I have carried one always since 1985. A month or three after I got out of US navy boot camp, I purchased my first, a Tinker, with one of my first navy paychecks. Good investment. I carry a Spartan these days, I use the corkscrew to pull nots out in parachute cord when breaking my camp down.
The brilliance and effectiveness of the simplest things. Bravo Felix!
Thank you so much Mauro!
That is awesome and is a cordage trick I will be using myself since I often have a need for such. Thumbs up.
Thank you so much my friend! Greetings from Switzerland
Hello Lonni,
Nice that I was able to give you something back with this idea thanks to Felix. Have subscribed to your channel for years and learned a lot from you. Canada is still a big dream of mine. Maybe I'll be able to see the country one more time. But then not in the hotel but in the wilderness ;-)
Greetings Detlef ...
Far north is excellent channel!
Felix is excellent channel!
Cheers!!!
Great little trick
@@BushcraftNature Thank you my friend for sharing the technique for others to learn from.
Hello RUclips and the smiles begin. You always brighten up my day, no matter how bad it’s been. Thanks Felix.
Wowww, super nice of you!
@@FelixImmler You earn it Felix.
@@boola69 yes he does and then some.
Wow This might jut be one of the top 5 knots I have seen for backpacking. Good Job!!
Thanks a lot for your comment
Mr.J 08/17/2022
first time I saw these types of DIY videos. I shall remember this when I need to secure any load that needs it. Marvelous, easy DIY. Thank you Felix
Hello Felix!!
Thanks for your mail. Still answer you!
Yes, the video turned out great. You also got involved. I really like the rustic version. I call that win win. Now the English-speaking people also have access to my idea and thanks to your large reach I get a few more subscribers so that I can be found ;-) You are still enthusiastic about the idea. I noticed that in the video. That made me happy to see that. As I said, I'd like to do something with you, I'd be happy to meet you in person!
Greetings Detlef ...
Vielen Dank Detlef für dein Vertrauen! Ich bin froh, dass Du mit dieser Version zufrieden bist....und ich bin happy, dass das Video positiv aufgenommen wird. Liebe Grüsse und hoffentlich bis bald mal...
Felix
Excellent collaboration the both of you! Vielen Dank!
Thank you both for sharing your ideas!
Cheers from Argentina!
@@destinationbushcraft1833 Thanks!! I am pleased that so many can now benefit from the idea! Greetings Detlef...
As a Swiss, I might be biased, but Felix' videos are among the few I can safely give a thumb up even before watching them. 👏😉
As a Canadian I can be unbiased and agree :)
And what about a Swiss-Canadian?? (Also BIG thumbs up!)
And, an Indian in India?
as a german (but alemann as well), i can do so too.
even though i, ofc, can never be unbiased against lölis!
;)
As a Czech, I agree. One of the best videos and most reliable guides.
One of my favourite channels, along with Corporals corner and Coalcracker bushcraft.
Felix, I can’t tell you how much I have learned from you SAK videos. I am a Swiss Army knife enthusiast and this simple paracord retention system is really useful. I made mine with pieces of an old hickory drum stick. Excellent for hanging my backpack on a tree. Now it’s time to learn more about the parcel hook on another one of your videos. Keep them coming !
Thank you for the video!! I made a bunch of them and they are in my backpack and ready to go 😊
used this for a mask on a hatchet!! works everywhere!!
I made it! Took me close to half an hour for drilling a hole since I only had a screw driver and dry rectangular stick. With ❤from India.
Thank you!
Wow. How simple, but beautiful. I love it!
These things are great. Thanks for passing this on! I made three of them on my last camping trip and immediately found multiple uses for them. Awesome little piece of gear!
This looks fantastic. I will be making a few of these and then come back to comment again.
Super idea!
Very interesting versatile glad I thought of it
Wow, so simple and effective. Thanks.
Thanks a lot!
Thumbs up before watching the entire video because the King of the SAK is a great teacher .
Thank you very much!!
Not just SAK. The video on how to sharpen an axe was brill. I’ve been thinking of working on my axe and must try it.

You are the best felix. I am from Istanbul. There is a full closure here because of covid. I collected woods from forest and doing this bushcraft project in the home for 2 weeks. Keep going man
Thanks a lot Furkan!
Az kaldı az
Furkan Bey, do you know any good camping locations near the European side of Istanbul. My home is in Beylikduzu.
@@leftfield123 in european side ı only know belgrad forest and kilyos beach for camping. But if you are in istanbul and you have a car ı suggest you go to şile. Kabakoz, ağva, darlık... there are realy good locations near to şile
Der Akzent ist der Hammer.
The simplicity of things is sometimes much more effective. Thank you for the video and your great demonstration of ingenuity and creativity and take care of yourself.
I love this guy.
Felix, not only are your videos some of the most helpful on all of YT, but you have to be one of the most humble and kind hearted people I've ever come across.
Watching you in action always puts a smile on my face.
Thank you my friend.
That is pretty cool :)
Hey Lars! ich freue mich von Dir zu lesen. Danke und liebe Grüsse aus der Schweiz!
Ah yes a new invention only 30,000 years old.
I feel like my life will never be the same again. Wow. Just great. Thank you!
Dankeschön an Felix und Detlef für die coole Technik .
Danke Marcel!!
Since you posted this video a year ago I've added these to every cord I have, and they have been the best addition to my gear since! Thank you again for your genuine and generous nature in sharing your knowledge with us 😊🙏
What an fantastic use for a toggle!!
All these years (decades) and I'd never seen that, awesome!!
Thanks a lot for this wonderful feedback!
@Cognitive Ape apologies for a typo
Absolutely brilliant idea, thank you so much for showing us this one,, I'll be on the hunt for some suitable sticks, when I'm next down the woods...
Yes... go for it!
Terrific video. Very useful and simple to make tensioner.
Glad it was helpful! Thanks a lot!
Felix, as always fantastic work! I used this trick camping this weekend for my ridge line. Absolutely amazing! Good job buddy, keep it up! 👍
Wow, that was so much easier than I thought it would be. What a useful quick and easy, inexpensive tool. Thank you so much for sharing your great knowledge with us!
The brilliance and effectiveness of the simplest things. Bravo Felix!
Thank you so much Mauro!
Awesome. I'll try it in the forest tomorrow.
Super... thanks a lot James!
@@FelixImmler I did it, and it works great!. Used only my Vic. Huntsman Knife. Thanks.
I swear that SAKs can do anything -- last night I used the saw on one to grate parmesan cheese to make a delicious fettuccine alfredo and it worked as well (or better) than a proper cheese grater. Outstanding!
Would you consider making a video about making your own handle scales?
That is really ingenious, I'm glad that he let you show us.
Thanks a lot!!
Simplicity and functionality together is synergistically greater than either part alone. This is so fantastic! Thank you so much for knowing how artful and helpful this would be to your audience! Thank you so much for sharing with us! Bravo!
Thanks a lot for your positive feedback!
Great Idea! Thank you for sharing and demonstrating
Thanks lot for watching!
Das ist so genial wie einfach und preiswert! Thank RUclips!
Danke für das tolle Kompliment!
Thanks my friend ... from Budapest !
Thanks a lot for watching!!
Pure class contacting the person who inspired you and linking to his channel.
Thank you!!
This is based on the principles of a Canadian jam knot. Adding the toggle is brilliant!
Another Dave C. fan!(?) Yeah, I was thinking the same thing (he has a great decade-old video on his three jam knots). This is a great, more elegant version of that, for sure and would definitely be in line with the Pathfinder adage _The toggle is the woodsman's friend_
Clever and still so simple.
Bhoot shandar ghar me bhi bhahar bhi. Thanks
That is both brilliant and yet simple, my favorite combination! Thanks to Detlef for the idea, and thank you Felix for promoting it.
THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO SIR I DID A VIDEO WHERE I ADDED THE TOGGLE TO A ADJUSTABLE GUYLINE I MAKE AND NOW IT ACTS AS A CINCH STRAP FOR GEAR AND LOADS..THANK YOU FOR ALL THAT YOU DO SAFE JOURNEYS
Excellent! Thank you....
Can you make the toggles out of dowel rods? Or do the wood pieces need the bark too?
Great job explaining/educating us in this video. I look forward to more great videos from this channel. Awesome work Felix. Thanks for the hard work 👍 when you want quality and reliability ya gotta go 🇨🇭
Habe es heute im Wald auch ausprobiert, funktioniert super.Ich
Okay, Felix. Don't know you, but you won me over.
Bought 50ft of purple cord and made a few of these for my pack. I absolutely love the style of it! You're right, much better to do it yourself. Thanks for the idea!
You are the true king of SAK’s!!!!
Absolutely genius!!!!
Love your channel!!!! Best on RUclips!!! By far.

Beautifully simple. Thank you Felix, keep up the good work.
Thanks a lot Ralph!
Excellent fantastic crafting. I will make some tomorrow. Jim rodgers
Excellent I'll be absolutely doing this
Thank you Steve!
Looks great! But, I'm afraid it will loosen it's "grip" when you start walking? Will it stay in place? If it works, it's perfect 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😁

Mine loosens pretty easily when I simply pull up on the toggle. Anyone else having the same problem?
This is brilliant Felix, thanks for sharing it with us! Way better than buying cheap plastic tensioners from China, or even bungie cords. I love how you used it for the ridgeline too. I watched the original Bushcraft & Nature video too and I love how he set up his ridgeline. I'm definitely implementing these! I've already made one (with my SAK) to try it out, although it's not as nice looking as yours. I'll be making lots more. The great thing is that if it breaks or gets lost we can always make more in the field.
i buy chinese products because i refuse to pay triple or 4 times the price cause some dumbass wants to make $30 an hour.
I see that Fireant in your corkscrew. 🍻
... i like it!! :-D
@@FelixImmler The fact that you can color coordinate your different knives is a bonus too.
I hid the unused Flint out of a disposable lighter in my SAK. Works with any 91mm with a cork screw (probably others too).
Felix, good morning
I really enjoyed this video and even more, because youtube has enabled subtitles in Portuguese. Great solution you presented to us. Congratulations. Another very good thing was the use of the awl or awl. Obrigado Felix. Taciano Recife, Pernambuco, Brasil. today - 24/05/2022.
SO SIMPLE. And dffective.
I like the "little trick", really how to make a small, but potentially VERY useful tool. However, I would change the knots used. The loop, well, there is simply no reason it should not be a bowling, if you know how to tie one, and you should. Second, for the other end of the paracord, I would use a "Figure 8" knot. Otherwise, thanks. I like it a lot.
Everybody gather 'round, Dr. SAK is operating again. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching brother!
i like those small tricky skills
Danke Oliver!
THATS SO GOOD. OMG.
Thank you so much!
Thank you. Tried the plastic tie downs. Not so good. Appreciate your video. Be safe
Brilliant! We used something similar while in the Army, but this is simpler. Thank you Sir!
Thanks a lot for your interesting comment!
😂😂😂 well, i guess that kills the other person claim of "inventing" this when it already existed
Simple and useful. Thank you Felix.
It's like a version of the Canadian jamknot! Thanks for sharing this...its more tools for the tool box big time! And easily crafted! Hooe your week is blessed Mr.Felix! Cheers, Jerbs 👍🏼🔥🔪🔥🇨🇦👍🏼
