In the USA. Carbons are the 1st trim that get the auto folding mirrors. The touring and touring plus don’t have them.

I have the 2023 Mazda CX-5 Carbon Edition and the auto folding isn’t enabled. I did the ignition part, push the lock button for 3-5 seconds, but have not push the button outside the door, so I will try that. Will update.

I'm going to disable mine I've had my CX-9 for 3 months and already the driver side mirrors half broken. It doesn't pull all the way in when turning the car off. So I'm just going to disable it. It's gimmicky anyways

@@OG-dp1kx It's very dangerous to be driving without the wing mirrors functioning. It's just happened again to me with the CX5 (it happens regularly), could be water getting in behind the mirror as it rained heavily last night. But so dangerous when you can't move them.

In Europe we have a separate switch in the door panel for the mirrors.
"Up" = not folding (e.g. when it will be freezing overnight & you don't want to burn the mirror motors); "middle" = default setting, auto folding upon leaving the car; "down" = immediatly folding.
