He is a Professional Guitarist with Cine Musicians Association India with grade Super Ext-Spl for Guitar , Mandolin and plucking instruments. Played for all Bollywood Music directors since 1972, Performed at global concerts at Royal Albert Hall, Sydney Opera House, London Palladium, Medicine Square , Ford Auditorium, Shrine Auditorium, Wembley Arena with great artists like Lata Mangeshkar,Asha Bhosle,R D Burman, Laxmikant Pyarelal, Shankar Jaikishan , Madan Mohan and many such stalwarts. Experience of teaching music for 20 years and training students for grade examinations in music for Trinity College Of London and Indian Classical Music. His father, Parshuram Haldipur, an astute mandolin player, and brother Amar Haldipur, a gifted violin player have certainly been instrumental in shaping him up as a musician; but, it’s his love for the music that made him persevere relentlessly to master his musical skills. He learned how to play Indian notes on a mandolin from his father, understood the nuances of playing the western notes on a violin from his brother and ended up becoming a sought-after guitarist.
In this captivating conversation, Arvind Haldipur takes us on a nostalgic journey, sharing his incredible experiences and insights gained from collaborating with renowned Bollywood composers and singers. Discover the untold stories behind the creation of timeless melodies that have touched millions of hearts.
This conversation took place at Rhythm Shaw's Studio.
There's a bonus to this video, where my son Ridu (Rhythm Shaw) and Arvind Ji play together.

I got to meet Arvindji in Pune during interval of Panchammagic program of 4th January 2022...He was just about to start eating his vada pav and we came across each other...he without a thought offered his vada pav dish to me and my daughter...of course we urged him to continue with his snacks...but we were floored by his simplicity and humility...such a huge artist but no tantrums to meet a common man like me...god bless him...i became his fan after watching his saaz tarang acoustic guitar episode

These are legends, about whom we know nothing. Bollywood never really gave importance to musicians. Even today, all music videos mention names of only hero and heroines, instead of giving credit to composer, lyricists, singers and musicians.

Pure mastery, humongous talent... still full of humility, down to earth personalities. I would pay to be in the same room with these two great gentlemen. I will just sit there and listen to them jamming. Masters like you worked behind the scenes and never got the attention you deserved and that's why current state of film music in our country has gone bad to worse. Please never ever stop making videos and educating us mere mortals.

Absolutely true...what I really hated about Bollywood dominating the music scene is that unlike West we don't get to acknowledge the instrumentalist behind the brilliant music. I mean we know slash, Gilmour, bucket head blah blah blah...but in India only few names like Mendosa and Dharamrajan

@@MalayKumar98 the reason that We know about Gilmour and Slash is that they were founder members of popular Rock bands.... had they been playing for other composers And sessions even they would not be popular.... but unfortunately in India bands do not have such a following like pink Floyd or BEATLES'.... but yes classical musicians are World famous...

Well, I am 70 & a musician/guitarist/teacher from Cbe and this interview with Arvind Ji by Nepal Ji is really unique and very rare in my experience.. 👏😘
    Wow.. Arvind Ji..👌
Quite a transparent sharing with his guitar learning and down-to-earth friendly demo of the plectrum* guitar method of different permutations in strokes what his father has mentored him.. Very sweet of him Nepal Ji.. 👍
The start of the interview with your Son Rhythm Shaw** was cool and moody catch Ji.. 👌 Arvind Ji was quite enjoying the accompanying style by your Son and his muffled and accented strokes especially was pretty groovy*** to any listener and the same was the feeling of Arvind Ji who appreciated him spontaneously and tells him that I have to learn from you some such modern stuff in guitar music.. That is a real musician complimenting without any inhibitions and extent of great inspiration & blessings to your Son Ji.. 👏
Good sharing like a visitor in our house on a cup of tea & bites plucking the strings casually of his iconic songs of all time was undoubtedly a nostalgic treat Nepal Ji.. In that, you were also trying to kinda learn instantly from the Master Ji which he quite guided you with a smile to execute..👍 Such a modest musician is Arvind Ji.. 👌👏
God bless him and his family and all his students as well.. 🙏
Thanks so much Nepal Ji for this wonderful opportunity of taking us through your memorable video like a personal chat with Arvind Ji in your Son Rhythm Shaw's sexy studio with a collection of beautiful Guitars and percussion.. 😘
I wish that many such nostalgic and personal interviews of cine musicians of decades should be taken and shared on RUclips for the younger & inquisitive musicians to learn the good side of senior masters'/musicians' life and wisely planned & peaceful living and not falling into vices suffer in life.. 😮 Warm cheers 😘.. 10:22 Looks like I have been holding the pick the "right" way all along. I never liked the "traditional" style of holding the pick and picking. The notes end up sounding pretty hollow when you hold the pick diagonally when stroking. And you don't even get much freedom with your wrist movement. The way I pick is pretty much parallel to the strings.

This is beautiful. Mind boggling. I had spoken to Arvind ji over phone in 2020-21 about his memories of playing for Kishore Kumar, but to see him perform the same, and such effortlessly, is like a divine blessing.
