After playing this DVD at a nursing home the activities director approached me with a stunned look on her face and said "There are people here who have not responded to a single thing all day and now they are applauding!!!"
Hey thats a nice story. I heard some similiar things when Jackie's music was played from others to include unusual responses from people, plants and animals thru the years.
As with almost all professional music videos, the audio track on this video has been added from this separate studio recording. ruclips.net/video/bjqJ6PunA88/видео.html There are other videos of Jackie singing "Lovers" in a real live situation. ruclips.net/video/8Tn4cvRINFY/видео.html ruclips.net/video/2apGDIZxNvg/видео.html ruclips.net/video/fHdiLaLhkpQ/видео.html
@@monkeysquashface LOL...... Of course the idea of a fake PBS concert is absurd. Notice that Jackie's detractors "like" this guy's comment. As usual, they seek out every video possible about Jackie just to "like" negative comments, regardless how ridiculous they are....cowards like himself who is unable to substantiate his statement, just delete when it's refuted and post again as he did twice before here.

@@cl9786 I do have that exclusive CD and yes, though it has been about 13 years and as I recall, the CD with the bonus tracks was available through Jackie's web site but still it is on a CD.
This was filmed at the Ringling Brothers Museum for her first PBS concert. She was 11 at the time. She's 23 now and has branched out from classical to pop and country. She's also the youngest solo artist to go platinum with her first album.
The youngest solo artist to go platinum PERIOD. Beat out Michael Jackson, the previous holder of the record. Last I heard, all nine CDs hit #1 on Billboard Classical Crossover, and I think her Joanie Mitchell CD hit #1 in its category as well.
She did ever talk show imaginable in 2011-14, she was the celebrity all the celebrities wanted to meet. She even won some national award for being well mannered and rightfully so.
Ahhh! I love orchestral accompaniment. Lovely voice as well. It’s amazing that such a deep rich voice could come from such a tiny body. Bravo! She would be fantastic on a mountaintop with the Hu Band.
I got to see Jackie in concert in Dallas and it was incredible. When she did this song (my favorite) I cried like a baby. Such a beautiful voice and spirit.
EPIC is the right word, a truly epic presentation no matter who was the singer. That it was a 10-11 year old makes this epic squared. Full orchestra, special oriental instruments, and NO ONE is "stepping on" her notes in an attempt to cover for her. Her voice is what we will all remember!
You guys HAVE to listen to the new @jackieevancho She recently released a song 🎵 titled Behind my Eyes. She's not just grown up, she's grown I to an incredible woman/singer-songwriter. Also check out her prior performances on a TV show alled Masked Singer from about 5 years ago in the Kitty costume. Brilliant. She's truly amazing and will continue to evolve from the little girl who amazed you to the pop star who will change the pop gènre.

Hi Mike & Ginger, Loved, Loved, Loved Your amazing Reaction to Jackie Evancho, and my song request. I'm so glad Mike is doing a little better, God Bless him on his recovery. I enjoy your channel very much, and your Analysis and reactions to the Artist's, and music you both cover on your channel. Here's some info on Jackie, the amazing Child Prodigy/ Bio: Jackie Evancho was born on April 9, 2000, she is 23 now in 2023. This Dream with me concert was performed at the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art in Sarosota, FL., USA. It was hosted and produced by David Foster, and he also produced her album "Dream With Me". David also played the piano with Jackie in most of the performances in this concert. This song "Lovers" is from the movie "House of Flying Daggers" Most of the concert was done outside on the grounds, but some of the performances were done inside the Museum as well. This concert was also aired on PBS stations, this aired concert was the most broadcast program of the year for the PBS Special. This entire concert was Phenomenal, absolutely every song was perfection. I was introduced to this very talented young Lady in 2010, like many others on the TV show America's Got Talent, where she finished in second place. I have followed her journey ever since. I listen to her Beautiful voice almost every day, her current performances and songs as well. Through the years, she has done many albums, and sang all over the World, and received many awards for her albums. Jackie is the youngest artist ever to go Platinum in the US, and the youngest ever to appear on Billboards top ten. Jackie is a Classical Crossover Singer, even though she can do Opera, she does sing in different Languages. Jackie does have a very big fan base, that is very loyal, and follows her very close. I try to be only one of her biggest fans, but know I can't be the best, but I try. I'll mention one more concert she did for PBS, it was called Music of the Movie's/ The Live Tour was called songs from the Silver Screen. There is way more, but I'll leave it up to more of her Loyal Fan base to add more amazing info for her. It is very rare that I don't get chills, Goosebumps, and Tears running down my face hearing her Beautiful Voice. Many people experience the same thing, it's hard not to, Jackie's Voice reaches your Soul every time. Here's some more songs from Jackie, from this amazing Concert I'll request to you to enjoy, but it is very had to choose, but here you go: Jackie Evancho- Mi Mancherai (from Dream with Me In Concert Length 4:04 Mar. 19, 2019 Jackie Evancho Ch., Jackie Evancho- Imaginer (from Dream With Me In Concert) Length 4:52 Mar. 15, 2019 Jackie Evancho Ch. Conrad Tao on Piano/ age 16, Jackie Evancho- Dark Waltz (From Dream with Me In Concert) Length 4:22 Mar. 15, 2019 Jackie Evancho Ch. This performance was done inside the Museum. These songs will get you started on your Journey to enjoy the amazing Talent of Jackie Evancho. More songs should be submitted to you from more of her amazing Loyal Fans. I can't tell you how Happy this has made me, for you to do my song request of Jackie's, and I'm overjoyed you loved it so much!!! God Bless, Many Blessings to you Mike & Ginger, Peace & Love, Thomas, from Indiana, USA
Jackie has grown up now, but this performance starred her singing when she just turned 11! Did you notice David Foster playing the piano. This was one of a number of performances for her Dream With Me concert. I could suggest a number of songs out of this concert, but I really enjoyed her performance Imaginer.
Jackie Evancho [e VAN ko] first hit AGT in year 2010 age 10 and after becoming runner-up, was under a multi million dollar contract a month later, with Sony/Columbia and Syco, working with David Foster [seen on piano in this clip]. By April of the following year, she had already released three albums, one of which was "Dream With Me", a PBS Great Performances production staged at the John & Mabel Ringling museum with a VERY high class orchestra and staging. She had previously auditioned for AGT live TWICE before and wasn't accepted, but AGT had a RUclips submission process in 2010, which she was the first place contestant and, by its rules, she HAD to be allowed to perform. At the time, AGT would have shown interesting kid acts, but they were not commercially viable so they were no problem for AGT until Jackie, who presented significant legal issues as a VERY minor child. After Jackie, Simon Cowell discovered the drawing power of young pre-teen singers and was constantly promoting them all as opera singers, which was a misnomer. Jackie has a Classical Crossover voice, not an opera-like voice like Amira. Jackie's performance range runs from soprano to mezzo all the way through contralto, but she sings with a clear toned voice, using 'perfect pitch' and expressiveness and a naturally floating voice not usual to pre-teens - or anyone else for that matter. You've hit pay dirt with her. Everything she sings is fantastic.
For me, Nella Fantasia is the gold standard for this concert. This song is special too, and she was so good at emoting the emotions of every song she sang. And there's many wow moments for sure.
Jackie was an operatic prodigy...I must admit I haven't seen this performance before. She usually sang in her upper register at this age. Don't remember hearing her sing this low at this age...I'm guessing she was 13 or so at this performance. Good to see Mike back....
Great to see you reacting to one of my long term favourite voices, I recommend you check out Jackie’s recent release ‘Consequences’. She’s had some personal issues dealing with childhood fame, but her grown up voice is still gorgeous.
I was front row center at a historic Houston church when she debuted this number while still 10 years old, in a concert that was kind of a warmup for this TV special. The audience was totally stunned into silence at what they had heard, then erupted in a massive ovation. It was like seeing Hendrix' debut at Monterey, something you never get over.
Unfortunately Jackie didn't have the great sob story that Michael Grimm had. He was a good singer but has done very little since winning the show against Jackie.
@@kagnewmp12 It was not the sob story that made Michael Grimm win. Simon Cowell did not want to lock Jackie into a long term Los Vegas contract. He wanted Jackie to be free to record for him and also be free to tour. In that regard Jackie really did win.
@@chuckraymond7743 Maybe so but Simon didn't have anything to do with the win at the final. I agree that Jackie was so much better but it was still the votes that decided who won first place and not the judges unless of course it is rigged where Simon could make a difference at the end.
@@kagnewmp12 Good morning I hope all is well with you. This was not "rigged" as you may inplie. First of all Simon Cowell was the producer of AGT and had the rights to Jackie Evancho. The decision was made between the producers and Jackie's parents to have her come in second as she was only 10 years old. As you can see by her record (pun intended) she was much more successful than Michael Grimm ever was. Because Jackie was not encumbered by a long term Las Vegas contract she had the freedom to tour and record for Simon. The rest is history recorded in wikipedia. Thank you again for featuring Jackie. I and many more look forward to more Jackie reviews.
@@chuckraymond7743 I don't believe you know the difference between your Ass and a Whole in the ground if you think Jackie's Parents and Simon had a thing to do with her coming in Second. The Judges have nothing at all to do with who wins once they vote or don't vote someone through. If they did this the show would be listed as underhanded and crooked not to mention against the Law.
Lovers is the title song from the soundtrack of the Chinese film House Of Flying Daggers. Though it was recorded by Kathleen Battle, it is not an opera aria.
I agree it is a "fabulous production", at a cost of about $1M, consisting of 15 songs performed live by 11 year old Jackie. However, the song is not an aria, but the title song from the movie, House of Flying Daggers, recorded by opera singer, Kathleen Battle. It should not be confused with opera. Jackie did however perform 3 arias from her album, Dream With Me... O Mio Babbino Caro Ombra Mai Fu Nessun Dorma
Mike and Ginger, it's so great to see your reaction to young Jackie! Look for the "Jackie Evancho 1st Live Audition America's Got Talent" video - that's the performance that brought her to the attention of the public at nine years old. There was a controversy for a while after that show aired because some people claimed she was lip syncing, which she was not. Jackie was, for a few years, officially the world's youngest opera singer, and she even got to sing with her idol, Sarah Brightman.
I am a big fan of Jackie's, and have been since before she was on AGT. Jackie was never an opera singer, and she was 10 years old when she appeared on AGT.
She was on AGT when she was nine and has become a opera voice. She influenced Amira. She from Pittsburgh. There are so many young ladies becoming super stars. There is another. Her name is Karolina Protsenko. She is from Ukraine and plays violin. If you look at Karolina you may want to watch her play Victoria secret or Let It Be.
As A Massive Jackie Evancho Fan she has A magnificent vocal talent !!! & my Bluetooth You Tube file is filled with her work. However I have one for to offer you Whom I Refer to as the ( Goddess of Song) Mrs.Patricia Janeckova's ( Rusalka 🎵🎶 ) You Tube videos available under her name. Unfortunately this Amazing Vocalist passed Away on Oct 1 2023 at the Age of 25 Due to aggressive cancer !!! She like Jackie has a large amount of work to draw from ( RIP Devine Goddess of y 😇💔🕯️🌹) 🌅
Yes guys, simply grand. Always amazes me when your get these child prodigies, when they open their mouths to sing and this mature voice comes out. Was watching another one by the name of Emma Kok, apparently, won Netherlands children’s singing contest and she was with Andre Rieu, she was great as well and what she has had to deal with in her life, simply horrendous. She’s an oldie though ….. 15 😂😂😂😂
Jackie Evancho sang 'Pie Jesus' on Oprah Winfrey's show in 2010. She sang 'Nella Fantasia' on Sharon Osbourne's show 'The Talk' in 2011. Her version of 'Nella Fantasia' was also used by German figure skater Nicole Schott during her routines at the 2018 Seoul Korea Winter Olympics.
I only have two artists that I llisten to daily. She is one of them. Have followed her since she was ten. She does a beautiful version of How Great Thou Art.
Love your reacions Mike & Ginger. Jackie Evancho is one of my favorite singers. One of her best is "Jackie Evancho - Nessun Dorma - Britain's Got Talent". Really worth a listen.
I apologize again for the under the rock comment 6 months ago and I have also just Subscribed to your Channel because of the way you listen to the entire song while so many reaction channels will stop the video numerous times and run their mouths because I think they simply love the sound of their own voice. The way you reacted to this also brought happiness to me and made me proud to be a Jackie Evancho Fan. I have been listening to this video since day one and it still makes me cry. Thanks
@@rehoboth2721 That's because you and I are true Jackie Evancho fans. What do you think of her new songs. I love them and hope I can get that full CD sometime. To be honest I will miss the songs that made us Love her but I can't blame her for wanting to do what she wants verses all those years where she did what others wanted including David Foster.
@@kagnewmp12 The new EP is really good they are going to be classics. I would love a go at editing the lyrics a little but other than that their special!
I was there, and made my own raw recording.... Just as good as final produced DVD ! 3.2 hrs to film.... enery song is immensely perfect. Song was from movie HOUSE OF FLYING DAGGARS. NAME PRONPONCED ,, ee-VANK- oh. A year ago, she released a tribute album of Joni Mitchell lesser known songs. CAROUSEL IN TIME.
She's 22 now, singing indie pop and starting to release music she has written herself. Her voice is less operatic in style these days but still with that gorgeous quality to it.
Jackie is an amazing opera singer. I recommend...Imaginer...it is stunning...also To Believe...from the same concert. Simply stunning. Can't believe you never heard of her before. As usual great and honest reaction. Nice to see you back Mike. ❤
This performance was in 2011 on PBS Great Performances, Jackie had just turned 11 years old. She was runner-up on America's Got Talent at age 10 and effectively opened the door for child singers like Amira, Angelina and a flood of others who have followed. None have equaled her history-making accomplishments, the first being the youngest Platinum solo artist in US history at age 10. She's had 8 consecutive albums hit #1 on the Classical Chart. Btw, this song is not opera. Jackie was and remains a Classical Crossover artist.
Hi Mike and Ginger. Another song you may find interesting by Jackie is " TO BELIVE ", written by her uncle and sung at around the same age as this one.
Thanks so much guys the multi-Platinum Jackie Evancho is such a gift for those who enjoy Classical Cross Over. Jackie gave us 10 #1 Billboard Classical Albums in a row, before being hobbled by Anorexia Nervousa and the pressures of child stardom. She seems better now and is back producing at Melody Place Music in Nashville.
@@csorourke3145 Feel free to explain yourself, Jackie would be fasinated. What makes a fat old pensioner go around relentlesly smearing several gifted young performers for nearly a decade? Seriously, let us in on it, what do the docters say?
I confess, I keep coming back to this reaction by you and Mike Ginger. And am hoping to find another reaction to Jackie posted by you soon. The impression I have of your taste in music might include some Opera so you might try Sebben Crudle when Jackie was 8 or 9 years old. As a side note, there are many who make claims about Jackie being self taught but that is not quite true. The woman at the piano who I thought was her "mother" is supposed to be her teacher. I know Jackie did have an instructor for a short time hired by her parents so that woman could be her teacher.
Yvie Burnett was Jackie's coach (not teacher) on AGT (required by AGT) and then only through her performances for this PBS concert. After a few early singing lessons, her mother refused classical training for Jackie to preserve her exceptional purity of tone...."We don't want her to sound like all the other sopranos". When Jackie recorded The Debut at age 18, she hired vocal coach, Joan Lader in NYC, for a few coaching sessions to help her "develop her belting pop voice and make sure she wasn't developing bad habits". Jackie said herself in a Facebook Q&A, "I haven't had voice training of any kind". In an interview prior to performing at The Sharon in Florida in 2022, she said "What I love about my music is that my singing is almost solely instinctual". ' So, for all practical purposes, Jackie is a "natural" singer, not a trained/taught singer. For all practical purposes, she is "self-taught".
@@cl9786, I don't quite recognize your moniker, meaning being a member of Jackie's original fan club. Jackie's mother would often get on-line to converse with the members. It was there that she relayed that information. Unfortunately, because Jackie's web page has been reorganized, her fan club NO longer exists. I am not sure you are agreeing with me when you say "a few early singing lessons" but the fact is, her mother indicated that they had hired (as in paid to) a coach. For how long I do NOT recall but more then you indicate. Hope this clarifies my first post.
@@brgilbert2 I was not a member of the original fan club. Is that a requirement to be considered a knowledgeable fan? I've followed her career since before it's beginning on AGT when she posted home-made videos on RUclips at age 8 and gave mini-concerts in the Pittsburgh area at age 9, in addition to numerous talent competitions, including David Foster's regional talent search where he first met Jackie at age 9. Yes, I am agreeing with you that Jackie had singing lessons after AGT, but her mother stopped them for the reason I mentioned. As I said, Yvie Burnett COACHED Jackie through the recording of Dream With Me. Then her mother coached her from then until she was about 17. Her mother was not a voice teacher. The point is that Jackie has never had voice training. There is a significant difference between being coached and being trained.
@@brgilbert2 VOCAL COACH VS. VOICE TEACHER: WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE? While the terms can be used interchangeably, the difference between a vocal coach and a voice teacher is that a coach provides guidance and helps with technique so that the singer can improve their voice, while a teacher teaches the fundamentals of singing. So, Jackie was trained. What's the problem?
Jackie's voice has a tendency to pull you in and hold you there, barely remembering to breathe. From childhood to young adult, her voice has conveyed a soothing aspect, like that of a flute or violin.
She continues to perform her classical crosssover repertoire for concerts while also writing her own music, it's misleading to say "she no longer sings like this". Her upcoming concert in April at The Centrum in Spring, Tx....."An Evening with Jackie Evancho will be chronicling her career thus far as well as introducing fans to new music. Singing songs from all her albums and including songs that go back to her roots on America’s Got Talent and her stint on The Masked Singer". She is writing and composing in the ALTERNATIVE pop genre which is created by artists outside the mainstream and considered more original, challenging, or eclectic than traditional pop music.....Not "a la Taylor Swift". The Alt pop genre happens to be "the way I write", she says.
Sings all her great classical stuff live at her shows and stronger than ever. Try to go to more shows, I think she going to return to touring regularly soon.
Jackie's performance on AGT in 2010 had a LOT to do with the increased number of young children being seen now. Got Talent shows around the world began actively searching for young singers to have on, after seeing the surge of interest from viewers reacting to Jackie. And of course parents and kids also saw Jackie's success on AGT and wanted to do the same. "Lovers" was the theme song from the movie "House of Flying Daggers". David Foster seeing Jackie's success on AGT, offered his services to Jackie's parents, and took her under his wings and they made two albums together. This is from their first album, titled "Dream With Me" recorded when Jackie was still 10 years old, The actual performance you are reacting to here is from Jackie's first PBS Great Performances Special also titled Dream With Me, and was taped 4 days after Jackie's 11th birthday. Jackie holds the Record for the youngest solo vocalist to go Platinum, a title Michael Jackson had held for years. I would love to see you do more reactions to Jackie's many outstanding performances. "Danny Boy" is a favorite of mine(there are many). She only sang it once as a special request from David Forster when they were recording the "Dream With Me" album. It is the first and only time Jackie has sung "Danny Boy". The lyrics touched Jackie so deeply that David Forster had to remove one verse, and change the wording of a couple of others before Jackie could bring herself to perform "Danny Boy" to be recorded . I am very much looking forward to seeing more Jackie reaction video from you guys, take your pick of performances, they are all great.
Agradezco tanto toda tu explicación, no domino el inglés pero gracias a RUclips y a ti por fin me entero de detalles de la carrera de esta niña tan especial...😅 ❤ De verdad gracias
@jayjackson8480 Prior to britain's got talent , the large talent shows did not allow very young children to go on at all. Connie's performance caused many of the other talent shows to change the rules which allowed young children to go on. She was instrumental in the fact that young children got on to talent shows. When simon started Britain's got talent , one of the things he did to try to attract attention was to allow children on. Jackie would not have been able to go on. America's got talent when she did if connie had not opened the door for her.
I suggedted here luke 4 times.... knew Ginger would like.. By the way, I convinced her mom to have her cover MEMORIES, by WITHIN TEMPTATION on her AWAKENING album, recorded at age 13. ALso a PBS concert DVD for THAT magnificent album.
This song is from the movie "House of Flying Daggers" and Jackie's performance is one of 15 songs she sang for her first of 3 solo concerts for PBS Great Performances at age 11, 12 and 14. She is 23 now and writing her own music. The concert title is "Dream With Me in Concert" on RUclips and DVD.
@@lawrenceb5236 You wrote "Wow. Can’t believe you never heard of Jackie" My point is that there is sufficient reason why most people would not have heard of Jackie.
Check out her performance of Simon & Garfunkels' Bridge Over Troubled Water. It's my favorite performance of that song. Don't have the link but it's on youtube.
This song was from film called, "The House of flying Daggers." It was a Chinese production. Jackie had just turned 11 a few days before taping. To add just a little background, this was a full 3 hours and 10 minute concert. This was following a full dress rehearsal the day before. Jackie had great 11 year old stamina.
No, they haven't been hiding under a rock; it's you and a very tiny minority that have been living in a world of your own for the past 13 years. Go out into the streets and ask 100 people at random if they've heard of Jackie Evancho. I would be surprised if you could find a single person who could recall who she was or even heard her name.
Ask any random 100 people a question that doesn't involve the Kardasions, Nickolodian or Taylor Swift and you get a blank stare. I stopped counting Evancho's RUclips views at 200 million and album sales at 4 million 5 years ago, those seems like pretty fair numbers to me?
I know what you mean because it's sorry to say when I mention Jackie Evancho so many people have no idea who she is. I wouldn't attend a Taylor Swift concert if I had free tickets and The Kardashians are famous for being Famous. You and I go way back as far as Jackie Evancho Fans and no matter what problems she has or what type of music she sings that will never change. I tear up all over again when I see a new reaction video to her old songs. I look forward to seeing her again one day in Concert and hope to add another Album to my Collection as well.@@rehoboth2721
I'm just going to put this out there, but... If you love Jackie so much, maybeinsulting someone who just discovers her, and loves her too, isn't the best way to represent her fanbase. Everyone has different experiences and exposure to music. You don't need to be rude. - G
It may have been mentioned earlier. Jackie has never had vocal training of any kind. She is a purely "natural" recording artist and performer. Moreover, she has the innate ability to change her vocal style to suit different genres. She is a multi-genre artist and one of the most versatile young sopranos of the century.
@@EpoRose1 She has not said in any interview I'm aware of that she's had voice training. Perhaps you only heard that she had. She answered the question in a Q&A on TalkShopLive....the very first question, "Are you classically trained, or is it natural talent?"......Lool it up, Jackie Evancho LIVE from NYC - TalkShopLive (the link cannot be posted on this video) In another interviw with Lindsey Parker on Yahoo Entertainment she said, "What I love about my music is that it's almost solely instinctual"......It's among other topics in a very lengthy interview titled Jackie Evancho Opens Up About Her Eating Disorder.
I know that you are polite people so there is no use for your language. However Jackie was a minor child of 10 years old. The rules for minors are different from adult contestants. Beside which, whether she came in first or second according to the vote count (by the way she did indeed receive more votes) is a mute point. Which of the two had the most over all success Jackie Evancho or Michael Grimm? Your argument is like asking how many angels can dance on the head of a pin. Again I thank you and look forward to more of your Jackie reviews.
The video being played by Mike and Ginger is from the DVD of Jackie's PBS Great Performances solo concert, "Dream With Me in Concert" recorded live at the Ringling Museum in Sarasota, FL. As with all the other performances, It is posted on RUclips, from where it was obtained for this reaction video, copyrighted and provided by Sony Music Entertainment....uploaded by Jackie on her official channel. 2 songs were not recorded on the Dream With Me album (Dark Waltz and Mi Mancherai)" Lovers: ruclips.net/video/6qj8bDnLUrM/видео.html A poster, user-wj3pt....(below), has repeatedly insisted that the audio track of Lovers from the studio recording of Jackie's Dream With Me album has been "added" (synced) to the video played by Mike and Ginger. That is not true, and It is not a "professional music video" as he/she claims, nor are any of the other RUclips videos of the 14 songs Jackie performed live in concert for PBS Great Performances.
@squashface Actually, I think the orchestra required more hours of practice and rehearsal than Jackie did, since she had recorded the songs for the album at David Foster's Studio in Malibu in only 3 months. She is a natural peformer who is a quick study with an exceptional memory for lyrics and melody and doesn't read music. Imagine an 11 year old performing 15 songs live, 1 in French and 5 in Italian, with full orchestra. That has never been done before, and moreover, the concert generated record amounts of fundraising money for PBS at a production cost of approx. $1M.
[cl9786] I have no idea where you are getting your information from and frankly, I do NOT recognize your name from Jackie's official fan club which still exists today but in an abbreviated form. Looking at my CD I see "Mi Mancherai". And are you insinuating that the you-tube videos are NOT from either Jackie's CD or DVD, that they are nothing more then "pick-up" musicians just hanging around and making noise? Gee, I thought that concert was "professionally recorded" and those you-tube videos sure look like they were from that concert or maybe that is not what you meant to imply when you stated "it is not a professional music video"!!
@@brgilbert2 I am a long-time fan who has followed Jackie's career since before AGT, and I have been commenting on RUclips for years, I am very familiar with Jackie's recording and performance history beginning with her RUclips videos at age 8. I am not a member of Jackie's official fan club, since I do not have a social media account. There are 2 cds of Dream With Me. The most commonly purchased cd (comes in a plastic jacket) does not include Mi Mancherai or Dark Waltz. The other has "bonus tracks" which include Someday, Mi Mancherai, The Impossible Dream and A Time for Us. I have both. I am stating that the RUclips videos of the concert are from the DVD recorded live, provided by Sony Music Entertainment and uploaded by Jackie on her official RUclips channel. Sony removed the original videos years ago which had millions of views. The video of Lovers that Mike and Ginger are playing is the RUclips video suggested to them by Thomas as a request. Yes, the concert was professionally recorded. The guy I am talking about is saying that it is a "professional music video" not a live recording. A music video is a lip-synced performance using a studio recording. Jackie's video of Silent Night at age 11 from her Heavenly Christmas album, for exampe, is a professional music video using the audio recording to which Jackie is lip-synching. He claims the audio on this video of Lovers was "added" from the cd as would be the case in a music video. He is either mistaken or intentionally insisting that the video is not a live recording to discredit it, having posted the same comment twice before after deleting the replies to his previous posts.
@@cl9786 Thank you for the clarification. When I joined Jackie's fan club after her first performance I was about 6 months late because I couldn't afford the $30 a month not knowing there was a free admission to that same club. Also, as I recall, you didn't need social media, just had to type in her address in the address bar. I was so captivated, so captured by Jackie I looked for everything I could find. So, I am familiar with Jackie's first foray into having a club which she or her family started which was with, "facebook". I am not sure when you speak of social media, like now or was it back then. I am curious because alot of chatter by the Evancho's occurred on "facebook" and I was lucky to be able to read alot of it because her early fans were copying and posting those conversations. Also, do you know the guy that lent the Evanco's $30,000 to fund her very first CD? Thanks again for the clarification.
@@brgilbert2 I appreciate your response. I discovered Jackie when a friend gifted me with her Dream With Me in Concert DVD for Christmas in 2011. I was mezmerized by the maturity and purity of her voice, and impressed with her confidence and professionalism on stage at age 11. I realized I was watching a child prodgy doing what comes natural to her. I began researching her recording and performing history, discovering that before AGT she had posted RUclips videos at age 8, recorded Prelude to a Dream and met David Foster at her audition for his regional talent contest while competing on other talent shows and performing local mini-concerts in the Pittsburgh area. I had no interest in social media, and still don't, not particularly interested in fan clubs at the time, though I read comments on fan sites. But I began following on RUclips diligently observing the development of her career. I also followed the comments on a proboards fan forum, eventually became a member and participated in discussion for several years until I became disgusted with the continual intrusion of antagnists and left. Since then I have continued commenting on RUclips in the interest of promoting Jackie and often contending with ill-informed detractors determined to discredit Jackie. I've been following her posts on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, though unable to post comments not having an account on either platform, and also following other fan sites and the proboards fan forum to stay in touch with what's current. I think I've seen every video of Jackie on RUclips and watched every interview and performance on TV, been to her concerts when possible, and purchased every CD and DVD that has been released. As a former singer with a music education background, it's been my hobby to learn about Jackie as a child prodigy, a developing artist, and also as a person through what she has revealed about herself. She is the most facinating un-trained vocalist, recording artist and peformer I've ever encountered with the most beautifuly pure voice I've ever heard. No artist has captivated me as much.
@@rehoboth2721 My reply disappeared, so I'll reiterate: BME was the #3 most added song on Adult Contemporary radio. It moved up to #1. A song is "added" to a station's playlist. Apparently BME has been added to more station playlists than any other song. Presently, it is no.27 on the Top 50, having moved up from no.45 when it first appeared on the AC list.
@@cl9786 Thank you, I noticed it was also #2 Trending up behind Selena Gomes. If she can keep trending up for a while, she might get a top 10! Now wouldn't that be awesome first go! I think that's Orchard working the phones. If she stays health and beautiful, sky's the limit.
@@rehoboth2721 Actually, it's largely due to the efforts of Liz Kiley, well known for her work and experience in Marketing and Strategy, now with Melody Place Records. (Look her up) Excerpt from an article in Radio Insight: "Earlier this year, Kiley joined Nashville label Melody Place Records. The label is in the process of relaunching Jackie Evancho as an adult pop-rock artist with a new single, “Behind My Eyes,” and an upcoming album produced by former Smash Mouth member and principal songwriter Greg Camp.".... Liz says, "I began working with Sandy McGraw and Tony Gottlieb at Melody Place Records in January on Marketing & Strategy. It’s wonderful because the label is smaller and very focused; the artists have the attention and can shine. Jackie Evancho is one of those artists. She dazzled us on America’s Got Talent at 10. Now, at 23, she’s launched her 2.0 alt-pop sound. John Butler and Crystal Lowe are helping us bring Jackie to radio."

This was filmed at the Ringling Brothers Museum for her first PBS concert. She was 11 at the time. She's 23 now and has branched out from classical to pop and country. She's also the youngest solo artist to go platinum with her first album.
Her voice is still incredible. She will always be my favorite singer.
The youngest solo artist to go platinum PERIOD. Beat out Michael Jackson, the previous holder of the record. Last I heard, all nine CDs hit #1 on Billboard Classical Crossover, and I think her Joanie Mitchell CD hit #1 in its category as well.
@@jordannash1998 That's what I meant. If she went platinum with her first album that defines it.
Yes Jackie had just turned 11 FOUR Days before the filming started.
Jackie just turned 11 years old for this incredible concert. My favorite voice , and i heard them all.
It's like they shrunk an epic opera singer into this young lass. Wow.
She did ever talk show imaginable in 2011-14, she was the celebrity all the celebrities wanted to meet. She even won some national award for being well mannered and rightfully so.
Outstanding performance from not just Jackie but the whole ensemble. Great reaction!

---- Lovers was the title song of the great Chinese movie House Of Flying Daggers, a 2004 wuxia romance film (you really should make an effort to see it as it is fantastic). The film reportedly received a 20-minute standing ovation at its Cannes Film Festival premiere. The film received a well deserved nomination for an Academy Award for Best Cinematography. Kathleen Battle sung Lovers as the last song on the soundtrack album
---- Jackie is now 23-years old. In 2010, as a 10-year old, Jackie came to fame when she came in second on America's Got Talent. She is the youngest solo artist to ever go Platinum on an album at 10-years old and the youngest to ever debut in the top 10 in the Billboard 200 peaking at #2. At 11-years old, she was the youngest solo singer to ever have a concert at Lincoln Center. Jackie had 9 consecutive albums peak at #1 on Billboard Classical Charts meaning that only Taylor Swift and Jay-Z have had more consecutive Billboard #1 albums. In addition to 10 albums, Jackie has 3 live albums, 18 music videos, and 35 singles. Jackie's first, of three she did, solo PBS concert specials, was in 2011, Dream With Me In Concert and what Lovers was sung in, was the most broadcast program of the year for PBS and raised record amounts of money for PBS stations. When 11-years old, Jackie was chosen by Robert Redford to play his daughter in his film The Company You Keep. Jackie was Kity on season 3 of The Masked Singer.
Thank you Thomas for promoting Jackie!
Way to go, a small donation is just such a great way to promote Jackie to new listeners. You da man!
I saw Jackie Evancho on the Americas Got Talent earlier this year
Jackie has grown up now, but this performance starred her singing when she just turned 11! Did you notice David Foster playing the piano. This was one of a number of performances for her Dream With Me concert. I could suggest a number of songs out of this concert, but I really enjoyed her performance Imaginer.
What a beautiful voice 😮. Nice to see Mike back. Always nice to see you too Ginger.
This is from her first PBS concert, Dream With Me In Concert, in 2011. She was 11 years old here. This song is also on her CD, Dream With Me.
Jackie Evancho was a runner-up on America's Got talent.
Thats early- She was on one of the shows like Americas got talent. Shes all grown up now. So good!!
Thanks Mike and Ginger we love to spread the love.
She had just turned 11 when this concert was filmed for PBS Great Performances.
Great to see you reacting to one of my long term favourite voices, I recommend you check out Jackie’s recent release ‘Consequences’. She’s had some personal issues dealing with childhood fame, but her grown up voice is still gorgeous.
Jackie has one of my favourite voices still. 😎
Incredible voice what can you say, but outstanding, Jackie Evanco was a child prodigy if ever was.
That song was from the movie "The House of Flying Daggers!"
If you say that you want to continue on this trend with amazing talented children, please check out Emma Kok - Voila ( andre rieux concert)
She is 23 years old now. Second place 2010 AGT. Seems like the AGT winners are rarely what they should be.👍🌹❤️
Unfortunately Jackie didn't have the great sob story that Michael Grimm had.
Jackie is 23 now
This song is an aria from a Kung Fu opera which is why the oriental style music.
Lovers is the title song from the soundtrack of the Chinese film House Of Flying Daggers. Though it was recorded by Kathleen Battle, it is not an opera aria.
David Foster Produced, and what a fabulous production it was. Seems like Jackie perpetuated the Aria we hear so often now, by so many young Artists...
O Mio Babbino Caro
Ombra Mai Fu
Nessun Dorma
19 Concerts since, I was there, and a Marvelous Wonder...

Or Jackie Evancho singing Nella Fantesia, I think one of the best performances on any talk show. Oprah Winfrey about 2012.

"To Believe" is in the same concert, " Dream With Me in Concert (age 11), and on the album (age 10).
She Sings Like An Angel 🫰💜💙🧡🤎💚❤️
Thanks so much guys the multi-Platinum Jackie Evancho is such a gift for those who enjoy Classical Cross Over. Jackie gave us 10 #1 Billboard Classical Albums in a row, before being hobbled by Anorexia Nervousa and the pressures of child stardom. She seems better now and is back producing at Melody Place Music in Nashville.
Go away!

@@cl9786 I agree. That has been my understanding also.
OMG if yu have not heard her Ck out her introduction to the world on AGT a few years ago when she was 9 or 10

Jackie's voice has a tendency to pull you in and hold you there, barely remembering to breathe. From childhood to young adult, her voice has conveyed a soothing aspect, like that of a flute or violin.
Jackie was the youngest person to headline Lincoln Center. She was 11. Now she is writing and singing her own songs.
Sadly she no linger sings like this. Mainly pop genre a la Taylor Swift. But she is penning her own songs so we wish her the best.

Connie Talbot started the rush of child prodigy singers on the first season of Britons got talent.
@@davidfryer9218 Would you list the pre-teen singers that rushed to the Got Talent shows after Connie, BEFORE Jackie's appearance on AGT
@@jayjackson8480 for one Jacky herself.

Go out into the streets and ask 100 people at random if they've heard of Jackie Evancho. I would be surprised if you could find a single person who could recall who she was or even heard her name.
@@chriscoulter160 Your statement has alot of truth to it though I think his post was meant to be more "tongue and cheek".

I'm just going to put this out there, but... If you love Jackie so much, maybeinsulting someone who just discovers her, and loves her too, isn't the best way to represent her fanbase. Everyone has different experiences and exposure to music. You don't need to be rude. - G
It may have been mentioned earlier. Jackie has never had vocal training of any kind. She is a purely "natural" recording artist and performer. Moreover, she has the innate ability to change her vocal style to suit different genres. She is a multi-genre artist and one of the most versatile young sopranos of the century.
Not sure why you think she didn’t have voice training- she has said in interviews she has.
@@EpoRose1 She has not said in any interview I'm aware of that she's had voice training. Perhaps you only heard that she had. In another interviw with Lindsey Parker on Yahoo Entertainment she said, "What I love about my music is that it's almost solely instinctual"......It's among other topics in a very lengthy interview titled Jackie Evancho Opens Up About Her Eating Disorder.
2 songs were not recorded on the Dream With Me album (Dark Waltz and Mi Mancherai)"
Lovers: ruclips.net/video/6qj8bDnLUrM/видео.html
A poster, user-wj3pt....(below), has repeatedly insisted that the audio track of Lovers from the studio recording of Jackie's Dream With Me album has been "added" (synced) to the video played by Mike and Ginger.
