I got asked at work to fix my attitude when I was told to work on a mothers day when my mom passed away only 2 weeks prior. I refused. I'm not defending this man baby only others who have a right to say no.
I worked in customer services for years and had many bad days but was never disrespectful to a customer.

Right cops are literally perfect! People are crazy dissing these men and woman who dedicate their entire existence to making sure we the citizens are safe. They even put our safety over officer safety, I always laugh when there’s an investigation on a cop doing something like killing or beating someone because I’m like how can you investigate people who don’t make mistakes. I completely understand buddy. It is so hard running a register and making food and smoothies for ppl. Probably one of the most demanding jobs a person can have. Absolutely back breaking. I remember talking to some WW2 Vets the other day and they were like," I'm so happy I was 17 and storming the beaches of Normandy watching my buddies get blown to pieces by Nazi's while I carried a heavy pack and a heavy rifle instead of working at Smoothie Cafe." I would never be able to do that job."

I've refused to serve plenty of cops my favorite was when an on duty cop thought someone spit on his food so he asked for the manager and the only manager who was there was only 18 so he asked for an actual manager, when told she was the only manager he walked in and around the counter to the manager's office in the back and ended up getting dragged out by other cops
That kind of behavior is unacceptable. If you are going to refuse service to someone, you'd better have a good, viable reason. Being a police officer is *not* a good and/or viable reason. I don't see what else the business in question could have done. It is unfortunate when anyone gets fired, but there was definitely good cause for termination of employment.

He claims he was having a bad day. That shouldn’t matter, you are paid to do a job. If you aren’t feeling like you can do that job because of a bad day, leave work early or don’t show up at all. A bad day should not effect your work performance, that includes how you treat customers. It shouldn’t matter if he wants to refuse copes, they are paying customers. He doesn’t own the business so he has no right to refuse someone unless the owners have specified to do so.
