They called her and said, this isn’t a lip sync contest. When she said her daughter was singing…they flew her out for the contest, which she won.
12:32, not only did she do a complicated riff after that long belt, but it was all in one breath. All this time, I thought that she kind of cut off to get into that riff, but she didn’t.
When you said it sounded like scat singing in the last clip, it’s because she has done scat singing in multiple songs. Mr. Paganini is probably the best example of her doing it. She can also yodel too, which is interesting to hear lol

I know it's one of your old reaction but I want to talk about what you said that you love when she sing in french. What makes it special for you, who are Anglophone, is that in french we prononce the vowels differently compared to english and even more with the diphtongue!
i love this video because many americans dont listen to her french music and shes got so much verstaility. thats why many people consider celine dion the best out of mariah and whitney because shes much more well rounded and and shes an international superstar who had to break out into the US market, whereas mariah and whitney didnt have that much of a global impact as celine. Shes like a representation of the rest of the world when talking about the vocal trinity
