The Horrific Story of The Nightmare Nurse
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 7 сен 2024
- We’re looking at the story of an intelligent, sweet little girl who was given up to an orphanage and then grew up to have a rather successful career as a nurse… and just so happens to be one of the most notorious female serial killers in history.
That chair with Simon sitting; holding his hands like that, makes me expect to ask “How does that make you feel?”
... Is it just me or did he have a little 'Spock-esque' vibe going sitting there to. They way he holds his hands finger tip to finger tip.
...damned nice chair to do it from too ;)....clever man :)
Exact definition of a psychopath. “I do not know the feeling of remorse although I understand what the word means.”
Is that not a sociopath? They know and feel empathy and don't care who knows it while psychopaths pretend empathy?
@@trevorjosephoneill345
The difference between the two is that a sociopath has a conscience, (although it’s weak), a psychopath has none.
@@tiedyedowl8367 psychopath has none. Right?
@@douglasbillington8521
You’re right, 🤦🏻♀️ that’s what I meant to say. I edited my original comment.
@@trevorjosephoneill345 There is no difference. Both the terms "psychopath" and "sociopath" are obsolete terms for the official DSM 5 term "antisocial personality disorder".
No psychologist or psychiatrist used the old terms any more, nor do they approve of the "difference between psychopath and sociopath" theories that are spread by popular media that copied some bad but cool sounding other media.
“accidentally giving incorrect dosages ...”
Allegedly.
I was just thinking of that allegedly
She loved to hold them and kiss their faces as they died....freaking creepy.😳
She may be a monster, but she's not a monster about it.
When your subscribe to so many of Simon's channel, that he pops up and spooks you sometimes.
Eight, isn't it?
For real, clicked on this on a whim and ...boom, Simon. Now I GOTTA watch
A rather good presenter/story teller. His "Today I Found Out" is pretty good too, especially if you're into new and "interesting" occurrences. Prague can inspire apparently (You are there aren't you?)
Omg I giggle a little every time ya boi with the blaze says “allegedly” on these other channels 😂😂😂
I found another channel of our boy with the Blaze!!
There's only 80 of them 😂
This channel has the consistency of my dad, as it comes in and out of my life at random intervals, but unlike my dad, I actually enjoy these random "pop ins" 😎
That’s sad.....
Dude , that's rough . 😕. I am truly sorry that's is how it was for you . I don't know if maybe this will help but you just made me take a new appreciation of how lucky I was to have a good relationship with my dad. I should never take that for granted because i wasn't without my moments that I am not proud of, often making things unnecessarily difficult, harder then need be. Self absorbed youth with more testosterone than common sense . Thank you for helping me with some perspective .
That's funny. But seriously, remember that it's okay not to see someone if you don't enjoy it.
Highlight History is back! Simon is eternal.
He now has eight channels. That just isn't right.
He needs to finance a basement re-build and reinforcement, as Danny has managed to nearly scratch through with the stumps that used to be hands.
Allegedly

Edit: 😅 nvm can’t read
I dont think Simon does Visualpolitik anymore.
I’d love to see a video on the evolution of how insane patients were treated in asylums over the ages. I know you’ve done top 10 videos on it but a more generalized treatment of the subject.
Simon looks almost relaxed in his chair.
It's a wing backed chair. They are comfortable!
Laura Kuhn, Yes they are comfy. I actually have one from the 50’s that my mother in law had reupholstered years back. It has been mine for 20+ years. Anyway, Simon is always standing or prancing on his other channels. We shall see how long he can remain seated.
Monsterpiece Theatre 🎭
@@Claytone-Records my great aunt Bernice had several of them which I inherited and she had redone them all with needlepoint they were from the thirties forties fifties and when I lost the house I'm afraid I had to sell them off I miss them they were the most comfortable wonderful things
Laura Kuhn, I am very sorry that you lost your house. I also lost a house but was able to salvage some of my things including my comfy chair.
2:09 in and I'm just wondering like... Is there anyone in this story who doesn't meet a miserable end? Like wow...
I just love how he always stays neutral even when describing freaky stuff.
Wow this was interesting and so sad.
As a side note: I adore your chair Simon!
This was beautifully written, thank you everyone.
Always a great story teller!
HOW could I not have known about this channel?! I love history and Simon Whistler is a brilliant presenter!
Yes. More Simon!
Legendary

@@magnificentfailure2390 Keep Calm and Blaze On
Oh my gods, I throught i knew of all Simon's channels! I swear one day I'll brave plugging in my TV antenna and see nothing but Simon on every channel.
Simon has the best narrating voice on youtube.
Haven't seen one of these pop up for a while! Interesting story.
What a rare pleasure. Highlight history is back
I knew just by the title that it had to be about Jane. I love it.
I find it really weird to see Simon so restrained.
Holy poop anew highlight history!!!!
i forgot this channel existed.. went looking if biographics got a new brand name lmao.
Good video👍
I should NOT have watched this just before bed.
My dreams were haunted by a pasty bald man with a scary beard.
I'm watching this in bed...
Here, let me give you something to help you sleep.
@@cocoabutt1711 Some cocoabutt?
I guess you gotta Blaze more often before bed time 😂
😂
Highlight History is back! Yaaay!
i’m loving the chair. it’s like grimm fair takes for adults.
Yay finally another new highlight history!!
Ah, it's the man with EIGHT CHANNELS. *_OCTO-SIMON!!!!!!_*
Creepy local-ish history, before bed. Cool.
Simon, it's a joy listening to your 🎭 rhetoric an see you use your scholars cradles so well. You're quite good at it. I'm a Swedish speaking Finn 🇫🇮, English is not my native tongue, so all your skills makes it a lot easier to understand your stories. Keep on doing all the good stories and many channels. Thank you. Good entertainment is worth double in these 2020 Quarantine times.
ALLEGEDLY!
amazing something new on here!
great video ty 👍❤🖖
The style of the video is fitting to the content. Its calm, no big visual effects and the bright camera also fits. A lot of Videos about topics like this try to be "creepy",which i personally find very annoying.
Due to this i would change the pictures in the video by removing the "old film effect".
Thank you Simon!
I can’t fathom how high strength narcotics and household chemicals were on par with each other less than 100 years ago.
Liked the content and narration very much. Thank-you, Simon👍
Early!! Luv u Simon!!
Simon sitting in the business blaze filming area is fucking amazing
Yaaaaaaas Highlight History!
Love finding every channel Simon has!
Oh No! Another channel!
When am I supposed to find time to eat and sleep? 🥺😀
Wait wait wait. Simon. How have I never seen this channel?!
That floor is hideous, love ya simon
OOOOOOOOOhhhhhh Simon got a chair. Blaze from the "The Chair"!!!
ALLEGEDLY.
I still don't understand the thought process behind this to this day, why on earth does the state force-feed/aid confessed mass murderers who want to kill themselves? Personally I would equip all prison cells with hanging materials and then we'd only need to trial and subsequently house the ones who fail to show any remorse for their crimes.
Is this an old video or did Simon get the neon fixed? Yes I see the upload time, but it could've been intended for one of the other channels.
The thumbnail seems more in place on today I found out
And the beard is so well trimmed. I think you're correct. This was recorded a while ago. Highlight history really is the sad neglected step child. It's my second favourite channel tough. (obviously the legandary Blaze is the best)
@@amruthanand1330 also Daven is the author and producer
Yes I was wondering about the “revived” Neon?
Simon has to be the hardest working RUclips creator on the planet!
An unloved child who was craving for control
I like you in the chair. Its like storytime!!!
So thankful for the nurses when I was in a hospital and rehab for 8 months (in Europe though so I can live my life now and don’t have crippling debt)
The Boy with the Blaze wears pants too? Who knew? That sloping floor does bother me though.
Her little insanity ruse wasn't so false after all... the guy gave an assessment that today would have a person sent to prison, but that he regarded as a sign of insanity for the same reason. She was compelled to kill and was a danger to society and he wasn't letting her out to keep killing people. It's about as satisfying of a finish as you can get considering the horrible things she did.
That was a great episode for October!
Great new chair Simon! I love wingback chair style
Thank you
Digging the chair dude. Very authoriative.
where did you get your info? every thing i've ever read or heard of this story Jane hated her sister from when she was adopted bcz she was her servant and forced to be so while the sister was treated like a princess. she tried to kill her and her parents many times or at least made them sick and decided to be a nurse so she could kill more people now that is from many many sources over the last 10 yrs or so. i've never heard your version of the story not eve a hint of anything you've said. the sister looked upon her as a slave and hated her as well.
I dunno how to message you guys for suggestions. But could you do an episode about sea faring in the 19th century and what did they do if their ships started to sink. Did they even have life boats?
Simon your Beard is quickly becoming Epic!
9/10 just missing that je ne sais pas du blaze.
My god man when do you sleep I think this is channel number 8 and yes this occupies more of my thoughts than it probably should. Also spectacular beard dude. We few keeping the greatest of combinations, bald with beards!
Ah my reminder seems to bare fruit in the end, glad highlight history is back!
Love the chair. However, one can’t help but think there was a missed opportunity here for Simon to be reclining on a nice upholstered _chaise longue_ instead: *'BLAZE ON THE CHAISE!!!'*
[Apologies! I’ll show myself out.]
Just when I thought I found all of Simon's channels I somehow find another one
Let's learn with Simon!
And of course she ends by complaining that she (whether truthfully or not) is suffering the fate she inflicted on countless others. NOW it's a tragedy
Watching this as a nursing student 😳
My boi blazing his way through history
Though I’m subscribed to the other channels, I just discovered this one. How many do you have now? A big thank you to the rest of the team who don’t seem to get the credit they deserve.
I was wondering the same thing.
He has more channels than the number of stars in the galaxy.
Toying with her patients! 😵😵
What?! ANOTHER Simon's channel?!
She's Bernie Taupins great aunt!
She was Bernie Taupins great great Aunt!
This is why I generally view well liked, charismatic people with suspicion. Something about some of theese serial murderers seeming to be good people scares the hell out of me.
I find it an ironic karma that she spent the last 30 years of her life in constant paranoia that she was being poisoned herself.
Who puts books into a bookcase like that?
There was a very similar case in Germany recently, a male nurse killed more than 100 people. you should check out that story.
how is this not on the casual criminalist? lol
Sweet!!
Leonard Wood had a heck of a career. Biographics channel episode possibility. Seriously I read a bit about him and this murder story is just the tip of the iceberg for him.
Geezus Simon needs an intervention; how many channels are we up to
Yeah, he's a machine. Must make a ton of cash though.
i love the casual armchair vibes 🤟
I really want to drink a Heineken in that office...
Jesus Simon how are you EVERYWHERE?
How many channels does this bloke have!
Geographics
Biographics
Megaprojects
Side projects
Top Tenz
Buisness Blaze
This one!
Simon Whistler, the man of many channels!
I went to college in Lowell, MA. It's pronounced with a long "o"
Hmmm... My landlord is troublesome, old & cranky.
I do wanna believe he sewed his own eyes shut.
I enjoyed this story on the brainfood podcast macabre episode!!!
Simon does more history than the History Channel
Well, doesn't she sound like an absolute delight. 🥺
so scary how evil serial killers are usually well liked and chrismatic!😨
Was this the inspiration for "Arsenic and Old Lace?
EDIT: I watched that film when I was still living in Massachusetts.
I payed Teddy in our Community Theater production. CHAAAAARGE!
Allegedly
This is interesting. The bodies of the unfortunate Davis family are buried all in a row just up the street from me in a tiny local cemetery. Walking down the line of graves and reading the dates is enough to let you know something had gone terribly wrong with that family in the sweltering summer of 1901. Um...Lowell Massachusetts is pronounced "lōwıll"
All Simon needs is a cognac glass and this would be the perfect set up
