A380 departure from intersection after a B737 rare to see at AMS Schiphol

this was the first time i saw an A380 depart from the intersection on the polderbaan. normally the B737 would have taken the intersection and the A380 would have departed at the beginning of the runway

If it helps i flew on August 16th AMS - DXB EK0148 and that flight also departed from the intersection on the 'Kaagbaan' instead of the very start of the runway!

Taxiways are usually assigned to a SID (standard instrument departure) and if the 380 had a sid that required that intersection then that's why! :)
