Poor picture quality. The bigger the picture the softer the outer edges appear to be and there are jaggys in some of the text and poor blacks that are not that deep enough for my liking. For the money that i paid for it (2grand english) i could have got an 65inch oled tv.But to be fair the one i have is the black version which has Chinese text in the menu. Might be worth taking a look at the new LG 4k short throw laser projector if the price is not going to be too insane.
I had the 4k version (bought from China) for a while and sold it right away. The upper corners were always blurry, no matter what you do with the electric focus. That only being on a 108" screen, higher than that the blur was ridiculous. Today you'd adjust the focus to be at least even in blurriness, next day you'll find it uneven and have to readjust it as previously. That blur is visible even on higher font text and in some movies! No hdmi from it, would accept 4k@60hz directly from my gaming laptop. It could do 50hz with image flickering. It would not support Chroma 4:4:4, and the HDR is a joke. The Chinese retailer blamed my laptop so would not accept returns. They tested it themselves and said some laptops could do 4k@60hz others would not :). The input lag is 106ms so say good riddance to casual, moderate gaming. The noise coming out of it is dreadful (sometimes as loud as an old ref)... whilst still producing a lot of heat. Save yourself a headache and go with something else.
I'm not sure if it's the specific screen for this projector, I think a gray pet ALR screen, to improve the contrast, the colors, the brightness and more sharpness, or maybe it's your camera, because I've seen this projector in person and in other reviews, and in this video it looks very bad and in person it looks great with that kind of screen.
A 1080P television from 7 years ago accepts a 4K image source but, it's not 4K. (In fact nothing really is) Speaking of which, Aquaman is what you are watching? They hardly have anything in 1080P, as far as broadcasts and movies are only what should be watched. For the price, get a 4K 86 inch TV from LG. You are still projecting light. At 500 dollars, yes....short throws are amazing. Not at 2,000 or 25,000 dollars. Who watches a 150" image at 5 feet? These are okay for someone that wants a 150" image only in their home, wants the talking point and not walking in front. They talk about getting rid of their televisions (like in this case getting rid of a Sony 75" 4K TV) but, WHAT ARE YOU PROJECTING THIS ON? They never talk about the 150" screen that is required. You can get one for 100 dollars or so, but that is garbage. It will be a white plastic material and not a 3000 dollar - and higher, hi resolution light blocking screen from angles. It also has to HANG on your Wall, like a 75" Sony and it's now 150 inches. Don't paint. Projectors are the replacement for money and that's it. A dedicated screen in the unit will always be better because the light doesn't have to pass a for distance through the air and ambient light. These USTs are amazing compared to other projectors, but not TVs ever. Go back to a rear projection television of you still want this technology. They could probably produce a rear projection television at 150 inches less expensive than 2000 dollars nowadays. Go back to beta max whilst your at it. I personally enjoy walking 1000w if miles over riding in a car or an airplane. *Actually, so much better environmentally
@@therealshanelee Technology to sell TVs and Projectors. I have a 15,000 dollar TV and a 25,000 dollar projector. What for? So aquaman can look good? Almost nothing is in 4K still and 1080P is broadcasted by .001% of television stations. I enjoy watching movies in 4K that I didn't even want to see in the theaters. Technology that up converts 1080i television the best is the only technology I'm interested in. So.....thank goodness for 8K. Technology with no source or reason is meaningless, except for profit.
@@deepfault Yes. They are much better. Still don't come close to an OLED. USTs were supposed to be the most bang for the buck. Remember, an expensive fixed wall screen is paramount when you buy a UST. So let's say it's 3000 dollars. You at least need a 1000 dollar screen to match that. There goes the portability and the money expense. Yes, if you run it at 150", it's worth it but, most don't want a power or fixed 150" screen, like I have on the wall. I have a very expensive power and a decently expensive fixed. I prefer my even way cheaper 200 dollar fixed screen and 1080P UST projector. That combo was about 1000 dollars total and it's 150". The new Lazer USTs are getting much better but, still black levels suffer. You can rin them now in a bright room. Being that close to the wall helps and they require less lumens to be bright.
@@UhhhhhnooOOo00oO for you to say that most don't want a 150" screen is absurd... Sure, most humans may not be able to afford one, but anybody would want to see things on a screen like that. I myself have a short throw and it's about 120 inches on the wall. However, I am thinking of getting a laser projector for $3K. Overall, I think projectors have been the future for a while and now they're becoming much more accessible, especially those that compete with televisions. But again anybody that thinks that a TV is better than a projector... to me is delusional lmaoo

Some folks don’t like to move forward with technology as it progresses. And some folks do.

Have you seen the new laser projectors coming out now??
Being that close to the wall helps and they require less lumens to be bright.

for you to say that most don't want a 150" screen is absurd...
