@Codys_Corner to be fair she uses huge hooks. The norm in my country is 3-4.5, she uses 5 - 6.
@@Heeyitsmika she uses big hooks because she’s working with thicker yarn. it’s obvious. i don’t think anyone would choose 3,5 mm hook for bulky yarn. and the size of hook she’s using doesn’t affect the speed of her hand movements.
Yay! After years of making hats, scarves, and baby blankets this is my first year making skirts. pants, and shorts as well. And it's quite addictive! I can now literally crochet my whole wardrobe if I wanted.

Kelsie: I viewed your “short” concerning people who feel free to interrupt while we are crocheting in public. It is rude, especially when your crocheting style is different. I was taught to crochet by one of my many aunts when I was 9 years old, I am now 68. The problem was that she only spoke Portuguese and I only spoke English. She was right handed and I was sinfully left handed. I received so many slaps on my hands when I used my left hand that the scourge remains to this day. So, I crochet with both hands. It looks like I am knitting. Funnily, people will not refrain from commenting that I am crocheting incorrectly. I suppose that makes my projects insufficient for the masses. Yet, I am quite happy with my finished projects. But people spend my time and hobby attempting to convince me that I am doing it all wrong.
Just because it’s not the “norm” doesn’t mean you’re doing it wrong. I’m sorry people made you feel that way. Those people want to fit everyone in the same boxes and that’s not how humans are. I love seeing people crochet differently than me. Always so fascinating

I'm sure you hear it a lot, but bro literally what the fuck??? I have to put on a podcast or something that doesn't require a lot of active screen time for my eyes to look at. Meanwhile you're talking to the camera and cranking shit out like a million miles a minute holy fuck lmao. Given, my total on-and-off time crocheting is NOT much at all... But I'm constantly having to peer into my stitches like a mole-person because my tension varies so much and I can't tell what is what. More often than not I just say "fuck it" and do the thing in the proximity of said desired placement. How long have you been doing this actively?
