25 horses and wagons head to the beach!

Earlier in September we joined our local British Driving Society drive on Pendine Sands Beach, raising money for the RNLI. We took our Kutzmann wagon and Opal (11 year old mare) and Rodger (6 year old stallion). Opal hasn't been to the beach before, but Rodger went a few times while we lived in Devon. Both did us proud and were incredibly bold going into the water! We went in pretty deep too! Luckily it was a warm day....
Pendine sands is famous for its flat hard sand, perfect for picking up a little speed and is the site of many world record land speed attempts!
While a lot of horse drawn events seem to be dying off, this was a really vibrant and busy event with 25 horse and carriage combinations attending! We're not members of the BDS but they allow non members on a lot of their drives! Inclusivity not exclusivity, Thank you to BDS Wales!!!

Hello. I am very happy and thank you for your driving because you are didn't using the whip at your driving. I hate using the whip at the driving because it hurt the horses.
