This heavy-duty rock tumbler does much more than ordinary rock polishers- it actually changes rough stones into beautiful high-luster semi precious gemstones (note: takes approximately 30 days to achieve). You can even make jewelry and key chains with the settings included in this set. Set includes a tumbling machine with heavy-duty motor, rough semi-precious stones (including amethyst, jasper, agate and others), grit, polish, jewelry settings, glue and instruction manual.

as someone who tumbled rocks a lot. I had a hard time watching this. first, the product based on what you say in the video has horrible instructions. but just a little research ...even on you tube, could have saved you time, and given you way better results. first, the barrel was too full for that motor. For rocks that size two days on cycle one was plenty, they were in that cycle WAY too long, even for most big rocks. this is one reason you lost so much size. You also need to know your hardness for these rocks and only tumble with rocks of like hardness or you will, one, grind away the softer rocks all together, and due to the chopping of those rocks, your grit will be course and never get a good finish.
and you MUST clean rocks and tumbler extremely well between cycles or you are wasting your time. any course grit in the med, or either in the fine will ruin the finish.
Most kids and parents will be following the directions as closely as possible. That is why I wanted to show the results as they would be if you followed the instructions. Keep in mind this is for children. Adult kits may work better for those who tumble rocks frequently.

I started with a child's kit. It it had far better instructions then presented here. esp. when it comes to loading. ours was extremely specific, as well as time to Tumble. I am just shocked by the lack of instructions in this area, as this not only affects the outcome of the rocks, but can break the tumbler all together.

What they are saying is the maker of the toy should create a more child friendly instruction that still communicates the technicalities of rock tumbling without it sounding too intimidating. They can either provide video instruction that is presented like a science show, or an instructional booklet that is like a mini science booklet. If the child is only presented an instruction, the child will learn nothing, thus wasting your precious money for a 1 day entertainment material for your child.

I see this product not as a toy, but an edutainment material that stimulates the curiosity of a child.
I had one of these as a kid. They work great but are loud and it takes days for the final result. We ended up putting ours in the basement til it was done. 😂😂😂😂

Finishing it after medium grit. Because polish makes it mat and a little cloudy. So if I got this I would stop after the medium grit

I think it's a huge coincidence that the stones you poured out that batch are the exact stones on the front of that box. Starting with the purple at the top left then counterclockwise

If you somehow have a actual jem outside, and you put it in... would it become a one of those jems, or would it be if you were to put in any ordinary rock? Im just wondering. If you can answer this that would be cool

Wow, the hardware is a lot cheaper than I remember, but I could've used a different kit because mine came with metal hardware for the jewelry; plus this was over a decade ago.

That's an awesome toys
Maybe a line of hot glue round the lid would have given it more traction 🤔 but to be honest like most kids toy sets, there okay to keep them busy for a couple of hours, but they are normally an epic fail, but great to give your kids an idea of what’s out there hobby wise.
