  • Amazon is releasing its own line of branded TVs along with a new Fire Stick 4K Max. Two TV line ups have been announced from the high end Omni range which will be from 55" to 70" and have features such as Dolby Sound and picture enhancements like Dolby Vision on the highest end models as well as completely hands free Alexa controls.
The 4 Series will be the more affordable range with sizes from 43" and, while they lack the Dolby and hands free will still all sport 4K HDR displays.
The new firestick 4K Max also has the advantage of WiFi 6 which will be of particular interest to those who want to do game streaming.

Yeah, looks pretty good and I think I am on for it. Amazon uses really good Mediatek chipsets in all its gadgets.

I'm still using a TV bought around 2002, with just one HDMI socket. I'm not into games so that part holds no interest for me.

Makes sense. Important for me here as I've a SkyBox, a PC and an Android box connected to my livingroom TV and a Steam Link for gaming on the one in the bedroom. HDMIs won't be the selling point for most people on these, but price versus specifications they're not bad at all provided you like Amazons Ecosystem. :)

@@AndysTechLife I have bought into the Amazon Ecosystem with 2 dots, 2 shows and a ring doorbell. I would like to do more but, as a pensioner, the budget is the constraint (plus a wife who isn't remotely techie). Which is why I love your channel. You point out the limitations and cost effectiveness.

Hey, initially I was able to add it in Ireland during preorder, but i think this was an oversight on their behalf, when i went back to place the order later it said cannot ship to my location. So I've spotted the same and put a note in the description since they've blocked Ireland shipping again :(
I've been using AddressPal from an post whenever this happens. Adds about 5 euro to the cost of shipping but does work.
Really tired of Amazon restricting Ireland tbh :(
