These techniques might work in predictable low level situations, However they are far too complex and clearly do not acknowledge how the body naturally reacts to danger. Why would you wait to be grabbed in this manner and even start your teaching from the point of contact? Pre contact awareness is clearly missing here. This type of training is about 40 years out of date

Obviously don’t know the information and personal safety that is taught b4 techniques, makes me laugh that people slate different systems, I’ve worked in Mental Health and used a breakaway at the most 3-5 times , put systems a side and your ego and surely it’s about staff and patient safety .
Oh and I have been trained in 3 different systems

@@markbond8803 I would suggest you re read my posting. My statements are based on the research across many scientific fields that is clearly absent in the majority of training programmes that I have observed over the past 40 years. As for ego, I let that go many years ago when I really needed to open my mind in order to finding an approach based on science and not merely personal choice or what some else was trying to brainwash me into. I can understand that you are so easily offended; we don't know what we dont know!

The GSA syllabus is far too complex & has too many 'techniques'... Check out Mark Dawes, NFPS.

@@BestUserNameUKindeed. A progressive trainer will understand that a principle based approach is far superior than teaching lots of techniques that do not work when experiencing high stress situations. It’s incredible that so many trainers are still teaching this way and not doing their due diligence of reading and research😮
