Great videos, also watched the second Rocking part II. Because of your videos I've just dug my Pod 2.0 out of the loft and have it plugged through my Focusrite 2i4 into Garageband. Some of the tones achievable are killer! I've been inspired, Cheers.
I had bought one of these back when it was new in 2000 or 2001 and sold it about five years ago. Wish i still had it. This thing is so sweet. There are so many alternate settings and adjustments that you can get out of this when pressing and holding the tap (if i remember correctly) button while turning the knobs. I actually used this as my effects device for my DJ setup. But now i am playing guitar and wouldn't mind having it on hand.

From Leo: One place I play pretty regular has a great PA system. I run my 20 year old Line 6 POD into a DI box and don't even bring an amp. It is mounted on an old cymbal stand to eliminate bending over to adjust it. There are lots of over the top tones available, but more importantly, it is easy to get the tones I want. It has been a very reliable unit. I am glad you revisited this product. There are a lot of used ones out there cheap. They are a real bargain.
Really useful video, I've admired these from afar in a sense (wallet, young family, bedroom maestro, you know the drill) and now they are the price they are I'm sorely tempted. I've got a bad H&H amp habit and considering I no longer play live I could do with outing the big old buggers and having a little box that can make the same racket and takes up less space. I've recently bought a wonderful Chinese Metal pedal called a "Metal End" too, it's not only well made but sounds fantastic and has a sort of cab simulation type thing going on. Anyway, I digress, I'd love to see more on the Pod as it's a genuinely interesting little unit and for people like me it's almost like having a guided tour of its capabilities. Thank you for posting this video and a very Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Hope to get more 10 years out of the setup, unless I hit the lottery. Ooorah! Happy Holidays to all.
Yeah a great box of tricks that I've owned and used since 2009. It features in the photo used on the reverse cover of Gary Moores 2001 album Back To The Blues, which is endorsement enough I would say ... Merry Christmas 🎄

@@Chinaguitarsceptic Big fan of Gary ... gone too soon. I was lucky enough to seen him in his prime at Cardiff's St Davids Hall with his Midnight Blues Band and Albert Collins guesting ... awesome gig.

I went back to my POD 2.0 the other day, and I was quite surprised at how good it was. I just remember it being really fizzy, and pretty unusable for the high gain metal stuff that I like. However, fed into my DAW with a few high and low pass filters, plus maybe a notch, and it sounded really quite usable. I mean it's lo-fi tech compared to modern amp sims, and you can tell the resolution on the modeling isn't very high, but a bit of post processing and I think i could probably get a decent demo out of it. I saw one being used live once and it sounded great. I'm guessing they fed it into a power amp, and I think it would sound amazing that way.
Do the other half of the amps please. Quick question, do you know what firmware are you running on the pod ? To know that press and hold the MANUAL button while turning on the POD. The display will first read "POD" and then the software version will follow. Thanks!
