I didn't do much research on the guy, but I don't think he had much of a leading masculine figure in his life, based on his first interaction with Andrew. That void remains as a boy grows into a man. He found masculinity in Andrew and now sees him as a fatherly remodel. The psychology involved here is that he actually will do everything Andrew says. So he's probably going to get rich and jacked.

Going to the boxing gym isn't about fighting, it's about training TO fight.
"Nobody wants to fight me" i don't understand this quote. If you go to the gym, they are not going to throw you in a ring instantly to get beaten up. They're going to put you through months of training before you even get a chance to sparr someone. That's a really strange thing to say if you haven't even started training yet. Shows a bad attitude from the outset.
