I think Viola should have Ice Silk. Maybe wherever it hits could freeze a bit, but she can change the type like flamsilks. Maybe it can glow but more of a blue-silver glow than orange. Also I thought maybe she can weave one type of her silk to make some of the necklaces that she wears.
I like the idea of Frostsilk. Maybe it could be a sort of a silk defect, where her silk is more cold and rigid than normal silk and she can only shoot it in short amounts? I imagine Silkwing silk as needing to be flexible, so if it were cold it would probably break easily. Another idea after reading another comment: - Imagine if Viola created frostsilk jewelry/art as a hobby/career and sold them for currency. And because frostsilk would be so rare, many would go to her to buy the rarest accessories in all of the continents.

Very cool! For the Ice/Silk, I have made OCs in the past with a sort of ice-silk idea, so it's not too insane. Also, a common thing I see is having them just hatch with their wings, but if it makes more sense you could say that their wings are more like the material of an IceWing's, tougher and more bat-like so they'd be strong enough not to tear when she hatched.
My favorite was Beetle, Ice Silk would be really cool, I think it should bind things together better than flamesilk, but also cause frost damage and give things a sort of serrated edge. Kinda decaying it, but all cold. I don't know, I'm not an expert at like, abilities, but I hope that sounds cool. Now, I will try to make backstories for Beetle and Stardust. Beetle: His mother, Damselfly, is one of the many of Lady Jewel's dragonets. While the majority of them were greatly loved, as Lady Jewel had more dragonets and had to focus on the struggles of immigrating from Pantala to the Rainforest, newly born Damselfly was neglected, forcing her to take refuge in collecting odd and dangerous items thrown away, so she could meld them together to make the strangest weapons known since The Scorching. The RainWing who created these contraptions, a young male dragonet named Melon, revealed he created them to take revenge on a NightWing named Megamind that had his mother starve to death when she was captured. Damselfly agreed to help him in exchange for him teaching her how to create the original contraptions. After injuring Megamind, Damselfly and Melon decided to mate and have Beetle. Megamind was furious about not being able to fly without help and drove the hybrid family away to the SandWing kingdom. However, Megamind had gotten his claws on one of the weapons, and not knowing about little Beetle, killed the pair once locating them. Knowing only his parent's teachings, Beetle scavenged for items to finish what his parents started and kill Megamind, and in doing so made many allies and many enemies. After killing Megamind, he soon learned the NightWing fathered a young dragonet who had just become an orphan, and felt waves of guilt every night until he couldn't take it anymore, went back to the cave, and adopted the little dragonet, named Quickwit, and told her that the orphans needed to take care of each other. Quickwit had seen Beetle do the act, and while not trusting him at first, after hearing his story, she became a little sister figure to him. The two moved to a town near the Rainforest where they pick fruit. Stardust: Her parents had met and mated in Sanctuary, both being scavenger scientists. The two, interested in the species, adopted a chimpanzee for their family since scavenger adopting was illegal. Since Stardust was born around the same time as the chimp (named Nimble) was adopted, she developed constant headaches from Nimble's noises mingled with struggling to block mindreading. Because they insisted Stardust's friends come to her house, she heard the little thoughts of Nimble mashed with her friends' thoughts and often heard the wrong things. Once, when her friend was petting Nimble, she heard Nimble's thoughts of mashed fruit, and her friend's craving of a sandwich, so she mistakenly heard her friend wanted a mashed fruit sandwich. Not questioning the odd desire, she went to the kitchen and made a sandwich. Her friend was delighted, but after taking a bite, she spit it out, questioning angrily if it was some sort of prank. After realizing what happened, she explained and her friend burst out laughing, telling her to remind her not to pet Nimble again. It was all fun and games till she thought her brother Moondust wanted help on his homework, when instead it was Nimble wishing for help on finding a peanut. Moondust was in reality up in his room, sad that his friend moved away and wishing he had less homework. Stardust went upstairs to find Moondust, who was startled to see her and breathed fire, not knowing who it was. After realizing, he felt terrible and went downstairs to find aloe vera, to soothe the burn, but by then she was already very hurt and his room was in near ashes. When Stardust explained what had happened to her frightened parents, they refused to believe their 'clever little ape' caused the issue and blamed both of their dragonets 'for acting horrendously dangerously and treating a gift like it was a toy' The two, realizing who their parents favored, left the house to find Moondust's friend and live with her. She was a sassy LeafWing named Bladderwort and was overjoyed to see Moondust, and her mother welcomed them once learning what happened.

Came up with one for Viola (Got a little inspiration from Warriors: Crookedstar's promise): Being around one of the first Pantala-Pyrrhia hybrids in a loooooooong time, Viola, born to the IceWing Permafrost (Snowfall's uncle) and the SilkWing Chalcedon, felt excluded and ignored by the IceWings in the palace. She failed to impress them and after a while of longing, left to the Possibility, where her mother had moved away. She met several hybrids, and while the dragons there were exceedingly kind, she struggled to fit in with her strict IceWing philosophies and always felt the cold shadow that she was doing something wrong. Though she never forgot how kind they were, she decided she didn't belong and ventured back to the IceWing kingdom, except this time, instead of going to the palace, she was heading for a small village called Among the Evergreens. On her voyage through, she passed the SandWing kingdom, where she befriended Beetle, another Pyrrhia-Pantala hybrid. Thanks to Beetle, she began to accept and express being SilkWing, and with this she discovered a special frostsilk ability, and she was appreciated as an interesting dragon in her new home.
Your art and voice are great! I do have one small tip though, you could make the heads a bit smaller. It’ll make the dragon proportions look a little bit better. (Don’t worry I did that too when I tried to draw a HiveWing-) And ice silk sounds like an awesome ability honestly, who cares if it’s a little out there- An idea for Beetle; maybe he could shoot the venom out of his tail, instead of his fangs? Like some HiveWings can shoot acid or something out of their tails.
Okay I have backstories: Beetle: Beetle was born alone in the woods until some scavengers found her and decided to take her home. There Beetle learned to speak scavenger. The scavengers ask her to steal a lot of things due to her power. That’s why she has all that jewelry and piercings. (That wasn’t the best backstory) Star dust: Star dust was born in the desert in a small cabin. A few years after she was born she was found by skywings and taken to there arena. While fighting, she was burned on her wings and sail. She escaped after Queen Scarlet was hit with glory’s venom. She never found her parents so she went to live in the scorpion den. (I like this one a bit better) Viola: Viola was born in the cold walls of the ice kingdom. She never knew her silkwing mom/dad due to silkwing not being able to withstand the cold. When she walked/roamed the cold halls she always got odd looks, that’s how she got her attitude. She started to wear jewelry trying to make her shiny, like an icewing. Okay those were the backstories sorry if they are a bit boring/bad also Icesilk/frostsilk sounds AMAZING WE NEED IT IDC IF IT BREAKS THE WOF RYLE DO IT!!!
I love it, however beetle doesn’t look RainWing at all, besides the tail, the frills are very unnoticeable, and really any dragons can have protruding fangs, most common in RainWings though. I have backstory idea tho! Maybe he’s like a chameleon like character and made fun of, so he decided to go to the silk-leaf kingdom and be one of the few HiveWings there. Now he’s grumpy. Because his little amount of RainWing, he pretends to be full HiveWing and is plotting revenge (I can imagine him being an arc 4 villain or smth)
I love how Star Dusts' wings make me think of looking at a bit of the sun that's right next to the starry black abyss of space. Does anyone else think of that when you see her wings, or is it just me?
Hi, a little from an artist myself if you have trouble figuring out the color pallet I suggest on a separate peice of paper or layer do little circles of color and see what matches well before you add them to the drawing and for when you have trouble with limbs use reference and bone anatomy it will help so much with practice and time, hope this helped for anyone
Beetle Backstory His parents were banished from both of their kingdoms after the kingdoms found out about the hybrid. He lives his life as a thief, raiding treasure rooms, robbing royals, etc.

One, love your voice, And two a couple of questions about your style of art. Q 1: How long did it kinda take u to well find your style? I know I’m still trying to figure mine out and finding a way I can Kina present it to others with out their first thoughts being: the eye is lopsided or judging me for small mistakes and I mean, it’s not like I’m doing the Mona Lisa? Ibs Paint and Sketch book are great! As for finding your art style I honestly don’t know how I found mine and I didn’t even notice I had a style till later. Mine just kinda naturally developed but I recommend watching other peoples videos on art style I know lavender towne has a good video on that. OH MY GOSH. I used to have an OC named Dragonfly who was a Rain-Hive hybrid and she looks almost identical to Beetle. She had red scales with black accents and orange wings with a yellowish-orange underbelly. She was also mostly hivewing but with a rainwing frill and prehensile tail. She didn't have jewelery but its crazy how similar they are!
Backstory ideas! Beetle was born with a disability in his one of his wings, so his parents cast him away from their home unless he got them lots of treasure, so he went to Phyrria to steal gems from the richest tribes. He is an extremely wanted scavenger/thief in the Sky, Sand, and Sea Kingdoms. Hope you like his backstory! Star Dust (Sand/Night) She was born to Moon and Qibli and she has the shy but adventurous personality like her personality. She is very creative but shy meeting needs dragons. She has a bad habit for making fun of people that are poorer than her, and lying. So, she claimed to be a lost princess and they took her in and treated her like one. Ok, so this is going to to into role play mode and when I put the - between words or sentences it means shes thinking. -->: Viola sat in her glacier like room bored. She shot her eyes around the room thinking she heard a noise. -Nothing-. She thought disappointed. The frost cave above her seemed to get smaller and smaller. -This is soooooo boring eh, I'll just go for a fly I guess?- Viola got of her round polar bear carpet and went out the glacier entrance and leaped in the air. - I need to avoid the icewings- she thought she swerved around the castle but was still caught. "Hey you! Thing... anyways, WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE YOU SILK- THING!" The dragon snapped at Vola. Viola flew on ignoring her. Something hit her head and she passed out... "ughhhhhhhh" Viola yawned. She sort of jumped at the dragon next to her. "Oh! Sorry if I startled you! Anyways, my name is Skua! How about you! Ooooo I love all your jewelry!" Skua went on. "Oh, I'm Viola and thank you." Viola answered. She studied the frosty colored dragon carefully. There was a ripped part of her wing. "How did you get that scar on your wing?" Viola asked trying to sound casual. "I almost escaped and taking the chain off my wing teared it" Skua said in a low and short of sad voice. I'm going to be done here! Sorry if it was short and I might just add later!
backstory idea for Beetle: his mother, a hivewing, somehow got an egg with a rainwing. in utter dissapointment in herself, she abandoned the egg near the rainforest in hopes the rainwing would find it, little did she know the dragon egg would hatch alone, without the rainwing finding it. it led to the young dragonet learning how to survive on his own due to being alone for so long. (maybe later on he could find his parents??)
Glacier looked around, and took off, her icy-blue colored wings flashing in the dark night sky. She flew and flew, before finally seeing land far ahead in the ocean, “Thank the moons!” She sighed in relief, *Only a bit more flying..* She’d think to herself. Almost a day later, she dipped her wings downwards, making her dash down onto the ground, *Pantala! Finally.* She’d look over the edge of the continent into the water, and decided to rest, and hunt for fish. A few fish later, she heard rustling in the trees, she stood up from her laying position, barring her teeth before a familiar snout poked through the trees, “Glacier?” A nervous-sounding voice sounded as a silk wing of every shade of purple walked into the open. “Oh! Hello, Violet.” Glacier sighed in relief, sitting down as Violet crossed over to sit in front of her, “I thought I’d be late!” Glacier laughed as Violet spoke nervously, “Oh c’mon! We’ve been meeting up since before you had wings!” She teased as Violet sat down, “Well- it’s just a little bit hard to sneak to the edge of the continent, especially when you’re bright purple!” He’d say, glancing around nervously. Glacier smiled warmly, holding Violet’s tail in her own, “I would- and HAVE flown from continent to continent for you.. so stop being so crabby!” She’d laugh again, and Violet laughed as well, “It’s just worrying to think we may or may not be found out, or worse, caught in the act!” “By the moons, you’re more worried then a fish cornered by two sea wings!” Both dragons chuckled. Glacier huffed as she was thrown into a cell. The battle between Burn and Blaze had just ended only hours ago. She and many others were brought back to Scarlets palace. The worst part about this.. Glacier had an egg resting in her stomach. “BY THE MOONS!” She’d start to roar curses loudly at the guards, though they only made them snicker and mock her. Violet sat at the edge of the continent, his bright purple scales shining brightly in the sunlight as he’d wait for Glacier to come. His tail flicked in worry, “What if she’s been caught in war? What if she’s..” He paused, looking out into the ocean, “What if she’s dead?!” He’d roar, pacing back and forth. *If she is trapped.. I must save her!* He’d decide before taking off. Glacier mumbled in her sleep, before 2 pairs of skywing guards came to her cell, “Wake up, prisoner!” Glacier growled, keeping her eyes closed and putting her claws over the top of her head, covering her ears. “NOW. THE QUEEN DEMANDS IT.” One soldier screeched, loud enough to pop a young dragonets eardrums out, Glacier growled again, but sat up and stood, facing the cages’ opening. A skywing soldier pulled out they keys to the cell, and unlocked it before Glacier dashed out immediately, though she was only able to run as fast as possible, her wings tied. “GET HER!” A soldier roared, dashing after Glacier, the others following after her. Suddenly, Glacier stopped, she huffed and vomited before falling to the ground, she was groaning in pain, curled up on the ground, shaking. “What in the moons-“ The soldier was cut off by a horribly loud roar of agony coming from Glacier. The soldiers took off into a sprint, before starting to fly- a bit unnecessary considering the ice wing prisoner was only a small hallways length away from them. They’d stop, seeing Glacier fainted next to a pale-colored purple egg. Seasons had passed. The three moons were lowering, running from the dawn light. A pale purple dragon slept in a beautiful decorated room, fluffy animal skins laid across the dragons bed. She’d yawn, rolling over. “Hey there!” A dragonets voice suddenly woke the purple dragon, and she grumbled before turning over and seeing a little skywing dragonet at the bedrooms entrance, “I’m Peril!” The little dragonet said, sitting down. “…I’m.. Viola?” The purple dragon stood up and yawned, jumping from her bed. Her scales glittered in beautiful shades of icy blue and purple. Antenna stuck from her head, and her wings looked like a butterfly’s. “Wow!! You look awesome!” Peril looked in awe at the dragon, and Viola snickered, “Thanks, little dragonet. How come you don’t come on in?” Peril curled her tail over her talons, and blinked, “Her majesty told me I’d burn everything in here.” “Oh come now, I’m sure you’re not THAT clumsy with your fire-breathing.” Viola beckoned the skywing dragonet, and Peril reluctantly stood up. As she wandered around Violas bedroom, she’d look up in awe at a picture of Queen Scarlet of the Skywings herself! Peril reached up and picked the painting off the wall- it almost immediately burst into flames, and Peril stumbled backwards as Viola roared in distraught, “HOW DARE YOU?!” She roared, barring her teeth at the young dragonet, “I’m sorry! I really didn’t mean to! I-“ “You better get back to your room before something absolutely DREADFUL happens to the poor little dragonet with fire in her claws!” Peril squeaked before running away, tears streaming from her eyes, though they disintegrated as they left her eyes. Viola huffed, and turned to the still-burning painting. She’d inhale very deeply, and spat out a large amount of silk that cold enough that it could freeze the tip of a dragons talons in a single touch. She’d sigh, before going back to lay down. ANNND- That’s all I’m gonna do- And I know, I know, it has more backstory about Violas parents then about her but I’ll continue- but only if wanted, because this took me about 20 minutes to type.
I think beetles back story should be… one night his parents abandoned him because he was well different. Because he didn’t have anything anymore he had to scavenge for things like food, one night he found out he could shift his scales and spray venom. Then he thought he would travel the world looking for some one like him.
Because viola was 50/50 she could've been born with wings because of the viewing genetic. Beetle and his backdtory, Beetle could've grown up in a royal palace, got bored then left, since he was a prince, he loved to pick -pocket every jewl, accessory he could could get. When he went to the Sandkingdom because dragons said they were very rich, he then ran into Quibli, and he taught his, to respect other dragons, he refused this advise, and left, to get a den, so he could hide all his treasures.
i think Viola could have the frostbreath, but in turn, without the silk she would never grow wings, and be stuck with just buds for the rest of her life.
I think that Icesilk could be a thing, because IceWings have that cold inside them for frostbreath, so that could combine with her silk storage and kind of freeze her silk a little bit, turning it silver and cold, like how flamesilk can burn.
Ice silk probably could happen because when you look at it, flame silk is just a mutation that happens every once in a while in some Silkwings. And considering that these are two different types of dragons, I think the chance for mutation would be slightly increased, and since the mother or father is an Icewing, that would definitely increase the chance that ice silk would happen instead of just flame silk (or regular silk). As for how it would work, I would assume it would work a little like a 3d pen, per say. Once it was made, you'd have to quickly mold it into shape before it freezes in place. That means that there might also be some problems with shooting it slowly or stopping mid-silk making, because it would freeze in place.
Back story for the ocs! Use them if you want VIOLA Born to her icewing mother she is kept secret, she nuzzled her mother with her winglessness so she called it a birth defect. When she was seven and spun her cocoon in a forest, her mother was startled and left her to fend for herself. She survived in the wilderness making and finding treasures. StarDust Born in the sand kingdom she dug her way out of the sands she had been left in by her father, her Nighteing mother found her a hour later and brought her to her small den in the middle of nowhere, she farmed and helped her mother do chores, she fell in love with a sand wing who she saw at the markets one day. When thorn became queen she went to jade mountain academy when it was fully open. A nightwing asked her out but she said she wasn’t ready for love. Beetle. Beetle was born into Jewel Hive to his mother Anasa, she did not mind his birth defect and loved him very much, sadly Wasp wanted her captured, leaving beetle to fend for himself, he would steal any jewelry that fell during arguments or erangments for trades, her began scavenging food in the savanna, he kept some of him jewelry but he sold some for money. That’s what I got so far, use these if you want!
Viola is a hybrid so if you wanted to give her frost breath then that’s fine. Maybe she has silkwing wings but they don’t use silk to grow in like normal silkwings because of the icewing part of her

I had thought about ice silk being a thing before. I think it'd be really cool and could totally exist if a SilkWing X IceWing hybrid was born with the frost substance but also silk. Maybe they would emit frost breath and silk at the same time from their wrists and that's how it could create frost silk. The frost silk could freeze anything it touches (the same amount as normal IceWing frost breath would, possibly less). Also they'd be able to emit different amounts of frost breath substance along with the silk, hence different types. Maybe they could also emit just frost and spray frost from their wrists. That could be cool! And of course they could have silk that was colder than usual by emitting a little frost, a little more could make dragons feel cold but not freeze, etc.
Star Dust's past: Her father was a NightWing and her Mother was a SandWing. Her mother took her to the Sand Kingdom. She grew up in the war with her mother who was in the Scorpion Den. Her wings got burned by a SandWing that was in the war. That is the option of her past
Back story for bettle: He never stayed in one place Bettles first 5 years of life was his glory days due to the fact only had partial colour changing and his generally strange aperence eventually got him exiled after that he found himself surching for a way to go back to his former home For a while he worked with cemelon they got along pretty well due to their shared experiences he made up the idea of a fake glory head and told it to Scarlett and carmelon but eventually while near the ice kingdom a icewing found him and brought him to blaze and glazier (glazier was visiting blaze okay!?) Blaze was interested in how his wings constantly changed colour and eventually ripped them off blaze Found out they still changed colour! Soon after that beettle died of bloodloss but no one really cared
Ice silk is a genius idea! And it makes a little of sense because she can’t have frost breath but ice silk just makes sense with an Ice/silk hybrid especially if it’s a 50/50 combination! So no, ice silk is not an insane idea it’s quiet genius

For the Ice/Silk, I have made OCs in the past with a sort of ice-silk idea, so it's not too insane. Also, a common thing I see is having them just hatch with their wings, but if it makes more sense you could say that their wings are more like the material of an IceWing's, tougher and more bat-like so they'd be strong enough not to tear when she hatched.

My favorite was Beetle, Ice Silk would be really cool, I think it should bind things together better than flamesilk, but also cause frost damage and give things a sort of serrated edge. Kinda decaying it, but all cold. I don't know, I'm not an expert at like, abilities, but I hope that sounds cool. Now, I will try to make backstories for Beetle and Stardust.
Beetle: His mother, Damselfly, is one of the many of Lady Jewel's dragonets. While the majority of them were greatly loved, as Lady Jewel had more dragonets and had to focus on the struggles of immigrating from Pantala to the Rainforest, newly born Damselfly was neglected, forcing her to take refuge in collecting odd and dangerous items thrown away, so she could meld them together to make the strangest weapons known since The Scorching. The RainWing who created these contraptions, a young male dragonet named Melon, revealed he created them to take revenge on a NightWing named Megamind that had his mother starve to death when she was captured. Damselfly agreed to help him in exchange for him teaching her how to create the original contraptions. After injuring Megamind, Damselfly and Melon decided to mate and have Beetle. Megamind was furious about not being able to fly without help and drove the hybrid family away to the SandWing kingdom. However, Megamind had gotten his claws on one of the weapons, and not knowing about little Beetle, killed the pair once locating them. Knowing only his parent's teachings, Beetle scavenged for items to finish what his parents started and kill Megamind, and in doing so made many allies and many enemies. After killing Megamind, he soon learned the NightWing fathered a young dragonet who had just become an orphan, and felt waves of guilt every night until he couldn't take it anymore, went back to the cave, and adopted the little dragonet, named Quickwit, and told her that the orphans needed to take care of each other. Quickwit had seen Beetle do the act, and while not trusting him at first, after hearing his story, she became a little sister figure to him. The two moved to a town near the Rainforest where they pick fruit.
Stardust: Her parents had met and mated in Sanctuary, both being scavenger scientists. The two, interested in the species, adopted a chimpanzee for their family since scavenger adopting was illegal. Since Stardust was born around the same time as the chimp (named Nimble) was adopted, she developed constant headaches from Nimble's noises mingled with struggling to block mindreading. Because they insisted Stardust's friends come to her house, she heard the little thoughts of Nimble mashed with her friends' thoughts and often heard the wrong things. Once, when her friend was petting Nimble, she heard Nimble's thoughts of mashed fruit, and her friend's craving of a sandwich, so she mistakenly heard her friend wanted a mashed fruit sandwich. Not questioning the odd desire, she went to the kitchen and made a sandwich. Her friend was delighted, but after taking a bite, she spit it out, questioning angrily if it was some sort of prank. After realizing what happened, she explained and her friend burst out laughing, telling her to remind her not to pet Nimble again. It was all fun and games till she thought her brother Moondust wanted help on his homework, when instead it was Nimble wishing for help on finding a peanut. Moondust was in reality up in his room, sad that his friend moved away and wishing he had less homework. Stardust went upstairs to find Moondust, who was startled to see her and breathed fire, not knowing who it was. After realizing, he felt terrible and went downstairs to find aloe vera, to soothe the burn, but by then she was already very hurt and his room was in near ashes. When Stardust explained what had happened to her frightened parents, they refused to believe their 'clever little ape' caused the issue and blamed both of their dragonets 'for acting horrendously dangerously and treating a gift like it was a toy' The two, realizing who their parents favored, left the house to find Moondust's friend and live with her. She was a sassy LeafWing named Bladderwort and was overjoyed to see Moondust, and her mother welcomed them once learning what happened.

Came up with one for Viola (Got a little inspiration from Warriors: Crookedstar's promise):
Being around one of the first Pantala-Pyrrhia hybrids in a loooooooong time, Viola, born to the IceWing Permafrost (Snowfall's uncle) and the SilkWing Chalcedon, felt excluded and ignored by the IceWings in the palace. She failed to impress them and after a while of longing, left to the Possibility, where her mother had moved away. She met several hybrids, and while the dragons there were exceedingly kind, she struggled to fit in with her strict IceWing philosophies and always felt the cold shadow that she was doing something wrong. Though she never forgot how kind they were, she decided she didn't belong and ventured back to the IceWing kingdom, except this time, instead of going to the palace, she was heading for a small village called Among the Evergreens. On her voyage through, she passed the SandWing kingdom, where she befriended Beetle, another Pyrrhia-Pantala hybrid. Thanks to Beetle, she began to accept and express being SilkWing, and with this she discovered a special frostsilk ability, and she was appreciated as an interesting dragon in her new home.

Okay I have backstories:
Beetle: Beetle was born alone in the woods until some scavengers found her and decided to take her home. There Beetle learned to speak scavenger. The scavengers ask her to steal a lot of things due to her power. That’s why she has all that jewelry and piercings. (That wasn’t the best backstory)
Star dust:
Star dust was born in the desert in a small cabin. A few years after she was born she was found by skywings and taken to there arena. While fighting, she was burned on her wings and sail. She escaped after Queen Scarlet was hit with glory’s venom. She never found her parents so she went to live in the scorpion den. (I like this one a bit better)
Viola:
Viola was born in the cold walls of the ice kingdom. She never knew her silkwing mom/dad due to silkwing not being able to withstand the cold. When she walked/roamed the cold halls she always got odd looks, that’s how she got her attitude. She started to wear jewelry trying to make her shiny, like an icewing.
Okay those were the backstories sorry if they are a bit boring/bad also Icesilk/frostsilk sounds AMAZING WE NEED IT IDC IF IT BREAKS THE WOF RYLE DO IT!!!
I love it, however beetle doesn’t look RainWing at all, besides the tail, the frills are very unnoticeable, and really any dragons can have protruding fangs, most common in RainWings though. I have backstory idea tho! Maybe he’s like a chameleon like character and made fun of, so he decided to go to the silk-leaf kingdom and be one of the few HiveWings there. Now he’s grumpy. Because his little amount of RainWing, he pretends to be full HiveWing and is plotting revenge (I can imagine him being an arc 4 villain or smth)

I love how Star Dusts' wings make me think of looking at a bit of the sun that's right next to the starry black abyss of space. Does anyone else think of that when you see her wings, or is it just me?
Hi, a little from an artist myself if you have trouble figuring out the color pallet I suggest on a separate peice of paper or layer do little circles of color and see what matches well before you add them to the drawing and for when you have trouble with limbs use reference and bone anatomy it will help so much with practice and time, hope this helped for anyone

Beetle Backstory
His parents were banished from both of their kingdoms after the kingdoms found out about the hybrid.
He lives his life as a thief, raiding treasure rooms, robbing royals, etc.
I have an oc that’s a hybrid of an ice wing and silk wing abd she has ice silk bc her father has frost breath and her mother has reg silk so I think they would mix giving her frozen silk

Q 1: How long did it kinda take u to well find your style? I know I’m still trying to figure mine out and finding a way I can Kina present it to others with out their first thoughts being: the eye is lopsided or judging me for small mistakes and I mean, it’s not like I’m doing the Mona Lisa? I have been recently doing more of full body’s rather then just face/neck views. I’m still working on more how to do limbs but quit talking about myself.
Q 2: what app do you use for digital art? I have tried but my finger have literally betrayed me. And also do you use like an iPad or computer or Appel pen? My birthday’s soon and I figure if you recommend me to stay with classical art (pens and paper) then more of that is what I’ll ask for. My friend is the best drawer I have actually ever met (irl otherwise probs you) but he tried to teach me. We just won’t talk about that.

Ibs Paint and Sketch book are great! As for finding your art style I honestly don’t know how I found mine and I didn’t even notice I had a style till later. Mine just kinda naturally developed but I recommend watching other peoples videos on art style I know lavender towne has a good video on that. The rainhive should have A backstory where its father left the little one abandoned on porpose. The dragonet was raised then by a hivewing(so lived in Pyrrhia was her past home) The hivewing mother was strict. But the dragonet listened

OH MY GOSH. I used to have an OC named Dragonfly who was a Rain-Hive hybrid and she looks almost identical to Beetle. She had red scales with black accents and orange wings with a yellowish-orange underbelly. She was also mostly hivewing but with a rainwing frill and prehensile tail. She didn't have jewelery but its crazy how similar they are!

Backstory ideas!
Beetle was born with a disability in his one of his wings, so his parents cast him away from their home unless he got them lots of treasure, so he went to Phyrria to steal gems from the richest tribes. He is an extremely wanted scavenger/thief in the Sky, Sand, and Sea Kingdoms. Hope you like his backstory!
Star Dust (Sand/Night)
She was born to Moon and Qibli and she has the shy but adventurous personality like her personality. She is very creative but shy meeting needs dragons. Idk any more ideas, pls tell me in comments.
And finally, Viola! (Ice/Silk)
Viola is a dragon from Pantala who was abused by her parents, so she went to Phyrria and was claimed by the Icewings. She has a bad habit for making fun of people that are poorer than her, and lying. So, she claimed to be a lost princess and they took her in and treated her like one. In short, she’s a spoiled little Ice/Silk hybrid who uses her silk to make jewelers for herself.

Ok, so this is going to to into role play mode and when I put the - between words or sentences it means shes thinking. -->: Viola sat in her glacier like room bored. She shot her eyes around the room thinking she heard a noise. -Nothing-. She thought disappointed. The frost cave above her seemed to get smaller and smaller. -This is soooooo boring eh, I'll just go for a fly I guess?- Viola got of her round polar bear carpet and went out the glacier entrance and leaped in the air. - I need to avoid the icewings- she thought she swerved around the castle but was still caught. "Hey you! Thing... anyways, WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE YOU SILK- THING!" The dragon snapped at Vola. Viola flew on ignoring her. Something hit her head and she passed out...
"ughhhhhhhh" Viola yawned. She sort of jumped at the dragon next to her. "Oh! Sorry if I startled you! Anyways, my name is Skua! How about you! Ooooo I love all your jewelry!" Skua went on. "Oh, I'm Viola and thank you." Viola answered. She studied the frosty colored dragon carefully. There was a ripped part of her wing. "How did you get that scar on your wing?" Viola asked trying to sound casual. "I almost escaped and taking the chain off my wing teared it" Skua said in a low and short of sad voice.

backstory idea for Beetle: his mother, a hivewing, somehow got an egg with a rainwing. in utter dissapointment in herself, she abandoned the egg near the rainforest in hopes the rainwing would find it, little did she know the dragon egg would hatch alone, without the rainwing finding it. it led to the young dragonet learning how to survive on his own due to being alone for so long. (maybe later on he could find his parents??)
Imma make Viola/Violas parents backstory-
Glacier looked around, and took off, her icy-blue colored wings flashing in the dark night sky.
She flew and flew, before finally seeing land far ahead in the ocean, “Thank the moons!” She sighed in relief, *Only a bit more flying..*
She’d think to herself.
Almost a day later, she dipped her wings downwards, making her dash down onto the ground, *Pantala! Finally.*
She’d look over the edge of the continent into the water, and decided to rest, and hunt for fish.
A few fish later, she heard rustling in the trees, she stood up from her laying position, barring her teeth before a familiar snout poked through the trees, “Glacier?” A nervous-sounding voice sounded as a silk wing of every shade of purple walked into the open.
“Oh! Hello, Violet.” Glacier sighed in relief, sitting down as Violet crossed over to sit in front of her, “I thought I’d be late!” Glacier laughed as Violet spoke nervously, “Oh c’mon! We’ve been meeting up since before you had wings!” She teased as Violet sat down, “Well- it’s just a little bit hard to sneak to the edge of the continent, especially when you’re bright purple!” He’d say, glancing around nervously.
Glacier smiled warmly, holding Violet’s tail in her own, “I would- and HAVE flown from continent to continent for you.. so stop being so crabby!” She’d laugh again, and Violet laughed as well, “It’s just worrying to think we may or may not be found out, or worse, caught in the act!”
“By the moons, you’re more worried then a fish cornered by two sea wings!” Both dragons chuckled.
Glacier huffed as she was thrown into a cell. The battle between Burn and Blaze had just ended only hours ago. She and many others were brought back to Scarlets palace. The worst part about this.. Glacier had an egg resting in her stomach.
“BY THE MOONS!” She’d start to roar curses loudly at the guards, though they only made them snicker and mock her.
Violet sat at the edge of the continent, his bright purple scales shining brightly in the sunlight as he’d wait for Glacier to come. His tail flicked in worry, “What if she’s been caught in war? What if she’s..” He paused, looking out into the ocean, “What if she’s dead?!” He’d roar, pacing back and forth.
*If she is trapped.. I must save her!* He’d decide before taking off.
Glacier mumbled in her sleep, before 2 pairs of skywing guards came to her cell, “Wake up, prisoner!” Glacier growled, keeping her eyes closed and putting her claws over the top of her head, covering her ears. “NOW. THE QUEEN DEMANDS IT.” One soldier screeched, loud enough to pop a young dragonets eardrums out, Glacier growled again, but sat up and stood, facing the cages’ opening. A skywing soldier pulled out they keys to the cell, and unlocked it before Glacier dashed out immediately, though she was only able to run as fast as possible, her wings tied.
“GET HER!” A soldier roared, dashing after Glacier, the others following after her.
Suddenly, Glacier stopped, she huffed and vomited before falling to the ground, she was groaning in pain, curled up on the ground, shaking.
“What in the moons-“ The soldier was cut off by a horribly loud roar of agony coming from Glacier. The soldiers took off into a sprint, before starting to fly- a bit unnecessary considering the ice wing prisoner was only a small hallways length away from them.
They’d stop, seeing Glacier fainted next to a pale-colored purple egg.
Seasons had passed. The three moons were lowering, running from the dawn light. A pale purple dragon slept in a beautiful decorated room, fluffy animal skins laid across the dragons bed. She’d yawn, rolling over.
“Hey there!” A dragonets voice suddenly woke the purple dragon, and she grumbled before turning over and seeing a little skywing dragonet at the bedrooms entrance, “I’m Peril!” The little dragonet said, sitting down. “…I’m.. Viola?” The purple dragon stood up and yawned, jumping from her bed. Her scales glittered in beautiful shades of icy blue and purple. Antenna stuck from her head, and her wings looked like a butterfly’s.
“Wow!! You look awesome!” Peril looked in awe at the dragon, and Viola snickered, “Thanks, little dragonet. How come you don’t come on in?”
Peril curled her tail over her talons, and blinked, “Her majesty told me I’d burn everything in here.”
“Oh come now, I’m sure you’re not THAT clumsy with your fire-breathing.” Viola beckoned the skywing dragonet, and Peril reluctantly stood up. As she wandered around Violas bedroom, she’d look up in awe at a picture of Queen Scarlet of the Skywings herself!
Peril reached up and picked the painting off the wall- it almost immediately burst into flames, and Peril stumbled backwards as Viola roared in distraught, “HOW DARE YOU?!” She roared, barring her teeth at the young dragonet, “I’m sorry! I really didn’t mean to! I-“ “You better get back to your room before something absolutely DREADFUL happens to the poor little dragonet with fire in her claws!” Peril squeaked before running away, tears streaming from her eyes, though they disintegrated as they left her eyes.
Viola huffed, and turned to the still-burning painting. She’d inhale very deeply, and spat out a large amount of silk that cold enough that it could freeze the tip of a dragons talons in a single touch. She’d sigh, before going back to lay down.
ANNND- That’s all I’m gonna do- And I know, I know, it has more backstory about Violas parents then about her but I’ll continue- but only if wanted, because this took me about 20 minutes to type.
I think beetles back story should be… one night his parents abandoned him because he was well different. Because he didn’t have anything anymore he had to scavenge for things like food, one night he found out he could shift his scales and spray venom. Then he thought he would travel the world looking for some one like him.

Because viola was 50/50 she could've been born with wings because of the viewing genetic. Beetle and his backdtory, Beetle could've grown up in a royal palace, got bored then left, since he was a prince, he loved to pick -pocket every jewl, accessory he could could get. When he went to the Sandkingdom because dragons said they were very rich, he then ran into Quibli, and he taught his, to respect other dragons, he refused this advise, and left, to get a den, so he could hide all his treasures.
i think Viola could have the frostbreath, but in turn, without the silk she would never grow wings, and be stuck with just buds for the rest of her life.
Firesilk is already insane and frostsilk sounds super fun!!!
I think that Icesilk could be a thing, because IceWings have that cold inside them for frostbreath, so that could combine with her silk storage and kind of freeze her silk a little bit, turning it silver and cold, like how flamesilk can burn.
For limbs if you're having trouble search dogs or cats to base them on!

I did the hybrid challenge and I got a RainWing/HiveWing hybrid that I named Baobab! Good work!
Ice silk probably could happen because when you look at it, flame silk is just a mutation that happens every once in a while in some Silkwings. And considering that these are two different types of dragons, I think the chance for mutation would be slightly increased, and since the mother or father is an Icewing, that would definitely increase the chance that ice silk would happen instead of just flame silk (or regular silk).
As for how it would work, I would assume it would work a little like a 3d pen, per say. Once it was made, you'd have to quickly mold it into shape before it freezes in place. That means that there might also be some problems with shooting it slowly or stopping mid-silk making, because it would freeze in place.

Born to her icewing mother she is kept secret, she nuzzled her mother with her winglessness so she called it a birth defect. When she was seven and spun her cocoon in a forest, her mother was startled and left her to fend for herself. She survived in the wilderness making and finding treasures.
StarDust
Born in the sand kingdom she dug her way out of the sands she had been left in by her father, her Nighteing mother found her a hour later and brought her to her small den in the middle of nowhere, she farmed and helped her mother do chores, she fell in love with a sand wing who she saw at the markets one day. When thorn became queen she went to jade mountain academy when it was fully open. A nightwing asked her out but she said she wasn’t ready for love.
Beetle.
Beetle was born into Jewel Hive to his mother Anasa, she did not mind his birth defect and loved him very much, sadly Wasp wanted her captured, leaving beetle to fend for himself, he would steal any jewelry that fell during arguments or erangments for trades, her began scavenging food in the savanna, he kept some of him jewelry but he sold some for money.

I had thought about ice silk being a thing before. I think it'd be really cool and could totally exist if a SilkWing X IceWing hybrid was born with the frost substance but also silk. Maybe they would emit frost breath and silk at the same time from their wrists and that's how it could create frost silk.
The frost silk could freeze anything it touches (the same amount as normal IceWing frost breath would, possibly less).
Also they'd be able to emit different amounts of frost breath substance along with the silk, hence different types. Maybe they could also emit just frost and spray frost from their wrists. That could be cool! And of course they could have silk that was colder than usual by emitting a little frost, a little more could make dragons feel cold but not freeze, etc.
I feel like a dragon with to much ice should be a thing like pearil.

He never stayed in one place
Bettles first 5 years of life was his glory days due to the fact only had partial colour changing and his generally strange aperence eventually got him exiled after that he found himself surching for a way to go back to his former home
For a while he worked with cemelon they got along pretty well due to their shared experiences he made up the idea of a fake glory head and told it to Scarlett and carmelon but eventually while near the ice kingdom a icewing found him and brought him to blaze and glazier (glazier was visiting blaze okay!?) Blaze was interested in how his wings constantly changed colour and eventually ripped them off blaze Found out they still changed colour! Soon after that beettle died of bloodloss but no one really cared

Ice silk is a genius idea! And it makes a little of sense because she can’t have frost breath but ice silk just makes sense with an Ice/silk hybrid especially if it’s a 50/50 combination! So no, ice silk is not an insane idea it’s quiet genius
