It's nice seeing guys like you and wayton experience what the current champ ranks are like. Of course we can always assume responsibility for our mistakes. But any player in that rank would get frustrated if they knew what to do, and their teammates don't.
Bro, I'm in plat, creeping to diamond and I suffer from ballchasing teammates. I've always had good position and game sense, it's the mechanical side where I suck lol. I wish RL would have like a sort of test at the begging of every season, where they test your defence and rotation and how well you do goes towards your rank. We'd see a bunch of ballchasin silvers flip resetting
As a GC1 who deranks from inactivity a lot, Merk is the quintessential c1/c2 team mate. When people complain about their team mates in champ, that's what they are referring to. Was a good chuckle watching that.

Just got back c1 today but I’m mostly d3/low c1 range. This is really helpful video. Unlike everyone else, my problem is mechanics since I’m a keyboard player. I feel like I dominate game sense over my other teammates but I might whiff because of my mechanics sometimes. Thanks for the video.😅

Used to be a controller player and switched to KBM after getting tired of stick drift and etc. I'd say getting my aerial control (air roll included) and learning to air dribble, flip reset, etc consistently took around about the same amount of hours as it did when I was learning it on controller. In all honesty I feel like it took less time, but KBM definitely feels easier than controller to get used to, since the controls are linear and more consistent.

Can you see why people blame teammates for not being higher rank though? It's not always a matter of not being good enough for the rank. You can absolutely find a long line of teammates that play like this and it's not so easy to play around it unless you happen to be a world-class coach and GC level player.
So I’m d3, whenever I play with my friends who are c1 or c2 I feel they have no game sense and give up possession ALOT, but I can’t get upto champ myself, what do you think is happening?
You’re d3 so no need to focus on gamesense, just know possessive plays, that’s all. And practicing mechs will get you high. No air dribble and flip reset tho.
People in d3 and up to c2 know nothing abt game sense. Maybe you’re just chasing and they’re not. There is always a reason, but sometimes you can just be unlucky.
What’s wrong with doinks spook? I don’t feel they’re that mechanical but they’re nice to have in your bag.. Also champs can score those if they have the IQ
true. i score them all the time and I'm c2/c3. they aren't that hard to do either. it's literally just about positioning correctly and then jumping at the right time. the "mechanical" part is in the corrections you make in the air to hit it where you want it

When you kept saying your teammates kept going with no boost not letting you go so you cannot do anything. I felt that. Every time I play with my friends they do not understand how to get off the ball and play back post. Literally every game I am stuck back post and when I see them 0 boost after they just challenged and they start flipping back so I push up but out of nowhere they hard turn and get useless extra touches on ball that just mess the play up and it leaves nobody behind. It is like their rotations go in a circle around the enemy half while I am stuck trying to understand whether I should go or not. And worse part is whenever I get blamed for stuff because I am not going up or because I need to challenge. Like bruh are you kidding me? I just break character at times and just ball chase like them and of course when I do that right next to me is my teammate driving up the wall right next to me going for the same play

This actually proves that I deserve to be in C1 for a while. Most of what Luke is saying I'm already doing, but I'm less consistent than he is, and those inconsistencies lead to missed opportunities or goals being scored against me. So the grind continues.
I like my quick chats (team only) to be informational, I use: I got it., Defending..., Passing....and Need boost. I don't ever start the toxicity, and I don't typically respond to it either, but I have been known to occasionally retaliate lol 😂, I mean I'm only human right?

Everytime i see champs from other regions they are much worse, it could be because my region has less players but the champs i have played are pretty mechanical and have decent game sense
Like the series but only thing that bothers me in these smurf series is the constant crapping on teammates. We get it, most champs don't have 5k hours in game. I think getting even champ in this game should be something to celebrate vs "this is what champs do". Its just really condescending and its the script in most of these videos.

save your replays and watch them. ask you c1/c2 friends to save their replays and send them to you, and compare the games.
