Good video, but please consider lowering the volume of the music if not remove it completely, makes it hard to concentrate to what you're teaching some times, thanks.
Hej, thx so much for the viedo, really being helpfull to me. but one thing. when i use theview reference i need to duble click the view on the sheet to activate the view and then the reference leds to a view not a sheet, how is that!!!?? hope i see the comment and get an answer :)
Excellent job. But I have a question. I prepared a primary view with a matchline and i made two dependent views partA and partB. I placed primary view on sheet1, scale 1:100. partA on sheet2, scale 1:100. partB on sheet3, scale 1:100. I want to keep the scale of primary view at 1:100 but i need to change the scale of partA and partB both to 1:50. Any help?
Hey thanks! For this you would have to have a duplicated overall view. I end up leaving the dependents overall view off of sheets so I can do what I want with the dependent views.
I have followed all the steps in the video but for some reason even after picking the view type and target view my tag just says "Ref" and does not change no matter what you pick including referencing views on the same page. Revit 2018
How do I place a section view cut and perform match lines? In plan view I want one section cut shown but the section view derived from it is split into multiple section. When I duplicate dependent views of the section it places multiple section call out in plan view with different tag names at the same location, which I do not want.
You can put view references anywhere but besides using them in area plans to reference floor plans or other area plan, I do not have any specific trick.
Great video, and thank you for creating it. Just a suggestion, can you please turn off the background music so that its easier to hear you? I think its nice, but maybe have it fade out after you start your video.. thanks again
A match line does nothing to split or define a view, it is simply a line to show where one view ends and another begins. A scope box is often used when match lines are used to define the view on each side of the match line. That said, scope boxes can be used on their own. They simply define 3D extents which can applied to a view. @@ArchitectureVanguard Thank you for in depth reply. I came across your channel quite recently and I really appreciate your detailed videos. I currently study Civil Engineering and may start working in structural engineering discipline later. You are not only helping architectures but engineers too. Thank you.
hi there....first thank you so so much for your informative videos ,they really helped me out to learn a lot of tips and tricks in revit and when ever i need to check sth i always watch your tutorials. But i only have few suggestions about your videos: 1. i find the background music in all videos very annoying and distracting because we are watching a video for learning sth new which needs concentration ,so we are forced to listen to an unwanted music during the videos. 2. i know that you do your best to explain everything comprehensively and i appreciate that but i think that your videos are sometimes too long to watch. it is better to manage the time by explain the points in more organized way.
Thank you for the kind words. I have removed the background music in future videos. And I do agree with you, sometimes they are too long. I will work on hitting the points and getting out of there.
Good video, but please consider lowering the volume of the music if not remove it completely, makes it hard to concentrate to what you're teaching some times, thanks.
Ok, thanks I have removed the music in recent videos.
Always useful tips. Thanks for that.
My pleasure!
His tutorials are always easy to follow, cuz he goes with that slow step by step
Still helpful after two years of uploading! Apparently never gets old 😊👌thank you. 🌹
noticed the background music and glad you removed it in your recent videos 🤭👌
You're welcome 😊
I have yes, it's been bettter!
You taught it in very simple way .thank you.
You are welcome!
Man I wished I watched this before using callouts to split my plan! Great video
Glad you found it helpful, Terry!

@@ArchitectureVanguard Thanks for your quick response.
No problem!
Revit 2024 scopeboxes now has a parameter of height, in this way there is no need to go in 3d or in a section to repare it
thank you, Bro, very excellence infor and profesional
Thanks so much, glad it helped!

Interesting. That could be because the view you are referencing is not on a sheet therefore there is no view to really reference.

Noted! Yea I have since removed music in future videos.
Really helpful clip. Lots of good information. Learned quite a bit. Thanks
Glad it was helpful, Mark!!!
How way to hide it in other link file by Fillter. i do it by EH but it too many element, and i don't want Custom link
do you have any tricks for Area plans with view references?

what's the difference between match line and scope box? I see them being used in the same way yet they are somehow different!

Really happy to hear that, Niaz! Please let me know if there are other things I can help with.

Hi,
Nice tutorial. Can you make video over rebar clashes
I could possibly, although as an architect, I rarely if ever deal with modeling rebar in Revit and rebar clashes. I will see what I can do though.
Hey great tutorial. Just a small request, would be great if you cut the song in the backgriound so we could hear your voice clearly.
I have since removed the music from the background in recent videos, thank you.
JUST GREAT
Awesome, thanks!
great! thanks
You're welcome!
Great tutorial but please lose the background music.
Very informative but left before it finished due to the music
Ahh sorry about the music. I have since removed music in other videos.
Useful video, but it would much better to make it less than 10 min.
Thanks, you are probably right.
Please leave music out of your videos. We are here to listen to you, not random dance music
I have since removed the music in future videos.
Your music is overriding your voice. Hard to hear you
Sorry about that. I have addressed it in futurr videos.
your background music makes it very difficult to follow your instructions. Really annoying
I have removed it in later videos, sorry.
Try to bring down your video to 10 mins would be more interesting.
I understand some could be shorter, thanks for the advice.
oh my god turn off the music!
I have since turned it in future videos.
