One video I'll have to watch over and over again. I have a question though. How did your low end pull through when you used a high pass filter to make the kick and bass Mono(The side image concept)? Was 2 different tracks blended in with a cut on same points?
Interesting idea with double limiting. But if I use really very gentle limiting about 3 db max is it worth to use 2 limiters? Thank's in advance. Verdi
Hey Verdi!
That's a good question! It's really a matter of taste - I think what could be useful is using 2 different limiters with different tonalities to achieve a unique one. Since you're not doing heavy limiting, 2 limiters probably won't reduce distortion all that much, but might help you find a different timbre.

@@sageaudio Yos this is a good point. The reason for using 2 limiters or 2 of every kind of FX could be the timbre of final sound. Thank you for sugestions.
I'd add extra tip wich could be useful... Make two masters... One for "CD" and one for streaming service...
Hey Dave! That's a good idea - thanks!

2:26 use linear phase tho, or listen closely and decide for yourself
Thanks for watching - that's a good idea to try!

Super fact.
Very interestin the sandwuich tip...Pity no example for the most difficult step, the comparing Reference, you how match at start the volume lowering the reference (typically about -6dB, or by eyes looking at the waveforms, or by ear,..?) ? How much can be useful Fab Pro if the I have to adjust every eq band ? Pheraps better Glisseq, master match of iK MM, Ozone or Gullfoss, isn't it ?
Hey ErkaMau! Thanks for watching! If you want more detail on how to use the FF Pro-Q 3 for matching, here's another one of our videos on it: ruclips.net/video/6-jOOF2Jq84/видео.html
I wouldn't recommend using it as an effect so whichever plugin you can use to generally match the sound for a reference will be helpful.

It seems that mastering engineers are heavily dependent on crappy mix engineers. I realize that mastering involves combining metadata and preparing the music for various sources, but if the mastering engineer has to try and fix a muddy stereo mix....the client should go back to the mix engineer and have them fix it.
Weiss is 500$😭
