I agree, but before you get too chuffed it's also because you lack the technical language completely! Eg, Basin vs kitchen sink, landing vs lobby, shower room vs bathroom and many others; I find that a bit of a drawback, however the lack of ready patter and spiel is certainly refreshing and pleasant.

Funny you worry about not enough light in the living room, some of us don't want alot of light. I think it's a very nice. Family home. Very homey & comfortable. Bonus is that stream! It's a winner!
What I like most in this video is the road trip, “so this is how it feels like when travelling through those inner roads around Tuscany and Umbria”. One gets to feel the sights and bumps as if he is able to be in the place (in Italy). Thank you very much for this other kind of experience. As for the old mill, it has been charmingly renovated into a very comfortable, cozy mountain hideaway with a slightly modern farm house feel, where one can sleep, read a book or just find peace and quiet amidst the birds and the running water. Thank you for the video.

It doesn't have the far-reaching view that many people require, it's an ex mill-house after all, but the surroundings are beautiful and so peaceful.

Good evening, Mr. Nick. May I ask how much snow this section of Italy gets in the winter? I can imagine that in really horrible weather (either rain or snow) that the road is a bit dodgey and perhaps a bit treacherous. Since it is so remote, would there be a possibility of getting snowed in? Also, can the ambulance service get to the house relatively easily in case of emergencies? Thanks. I actually love the remoteness of this place; just stunning!
I've been here for 17 years and we use to have snow once or twice a year in winter. Over the last five years we have had very little snow. The road is well maintained as there are other properties along it. Hope this helps.

This property is genuinely fairytalish. Love how the hedging makes it seem cozy and secretive. One kind of expects the Three Bears 🐻 to reside here and Goldilocks to be sleeping in a bed 😆 lol.

This is FABULOUS, but I imagine the kitchen gets hotter than (insert hot place) in the summer, with it being full west. That is probably why, when they restored this place, they put the "living" area on the other side. Gorgeous, though!
This is one amazing and relaxing home. Quite peaceful and lovely inside and the terrace is great. Nice to not have neighbors and it is quiet and you can live as you please. The only problem could be the distance to walk to get to the home. If is o ar off main roads. Gues it is not maybe a year-round home though? The waterfalls is so perfect. Certainly, people could get away and enjoy this as the best vacation ever. If they ould live her and gert through the road fine and walk to your home, it would be fine too. If you have children it could be a problem for chol s am sure busses would not run to pick them up at the home.
But the house is else is really lovely and with just some fixing it to fit your own type of style it could be a wonderful home. Missed the heating systm?
Hi Carol. You can see on the video how far the house is from the main road; the location is perfect for taking walks but you need a car to get shopping etc. as there are no shops or amenities within walking distance. There is gas central heating and an open fire too. Thank you for taking the time to comment.

Yes, It normally snows once or twice a year in the winter months, Feb/March, but for the last few years we haven’t had much snow or ice.

Hi James, I have asked the owner about flooding and she said that the highest water level was still 2/3 metres below the level of the house. Apparently in very heavy rain water does run fast down the hill across the garden and into the stream. On such occasions there used to be a small stream of water which ran across the path close to the front door but water never entered the house because of the way the paving stones were laid. The soakaway installed four years ago in the front garden is designed to reduce the water running close to the house in downpours. I hope this helps!

My kinda hideaway
Way too isolated of a permanent home but nice for a summer vacation home.
Some people just want to find their little bit of peace. I agree, difficult to live full time but it's charming.
