some times the 4 to 20 ma input in some devices is not isolated and not all manufactures give you the information
How can I test if the input to a device is not isolated ???
is there a test to confirm the input is not isolated ???
    Thanks.

I have made the 4-20 mA input & output isolator device.
when i connect it to any instruments other than PLC then output shows right reading of the current given by my device.
But when i connect the device to PLC there is slight change in reading on PLC
e.g if i transmit 4mA to the PLC then PLC shows 4.09 mA.
What will be the problem need to be corrected in my device to work with PLC also

    Good Presentation indeed.Very helpful.
Here i have a problem , the RTD is reading constant value, even if temperature changes. I replace the puk, still the same problem, I replaced the probe, again the problem persists, now I'm simulating 4-20 ma from the line back to PLC, when I give 4 ma and measure ma in series with the fluke to the transmitter I'm getting 27 ma. What could be wrong or problem?

Did you find out the root of problem? seems to be that a noisy loop or some source of voltage higher than usual is keeping that current above range
