You can really hear the tonal difference between her first 2 albums and this song. she was in her teens for the earlier ones and in her early 20s for this. remarkable. her range is filthy! I love listening to women who have super round and beefy lower registers. We don't see that too often. Being a woman who sings low as well, I greatly appreciate this! That B2 (A2 in the 2018 remake) on 'lately' in the pre chorus is...phew!! gorgeous. Been listening to her a lot lately. I'm sad that I didn't grow up listening to her, although her music was out seeing she only 2.5 years older than me. Definitely a fan now!
