definitely the best speedrun guide for this game! I followed most of your steps (excluding a few that were harder for a first try and required more practice) and achieved it in exactly 33 minutes. thanks a lot!
Thanks Samwise, with the trophy/achievement now being for under 35 minutes, I got it first time at 32 minutes by following your guides, even with making mistakes. Commenting here in case newbies see who also just care about the trophy. Here's what I did - -Pause the game after every section or two, whatever I could remember, of Samwises tutorials. Better to take time and be careful, pausing stops the clock. -When it comes to his advice, you can often ignore advanced/overly tricky seeming tactics that could fail easy, because these are mostly for true speedrunners. If something is quite tricky but only saves between about 5-15 seconds, usually you should go the safer route. -Compare the length of the videos with the time you want to complete a level in. For instance, if a video is 3 minutes, give yourself about 4-4.5 minutes to complete it, it should all add up to under 35 and bear in mind, even though you are giving yourself more time than the video, in the videos Samwise will be wasting time stationary or at the beginning of videos to explain things that you obviously don't have to, and shouldn't do. I liked doing this because it gave me a sense of where I was at, and for instance after viewing all the video times, I knew I wanted to get the first 5 levels at about 15-16 minutes (which I managed), and give about 5 or 6 each for the final ones. By the start of mission 8 I was at 25 minutes and knew I'd have plenty of time to be laxxer, but still kept the pausing tactics and such in mind most of the time to be safe.
No, I don’t plan on ever learning any%, and it’s very difficult to describe the lineups. The best way to learn is to watch the current runs and practice the exact lineups and to join the Discord and ask experienced runners how to do it

Thank you so much. This gives me alot of hope. I am gonna keep trying to get that sub 35 achievement.
Bro your so underrated
Very helpful, thanks!
Tks a lot dude!
I fucking wish i could skip the dam start cut scene because i hate when i miss up and i have to watch it like 😫
You don’t have to watch the cutscene
@@samwise3s596 how I can't skip on Xbox I don't believe if so tell me please and thank you for your videos they really helped
Because I have to start a new game every time I want the speed run timer up there so I know what I'm doing
Hitting “Start New Game” is not necessary for the speedrun timer
Just start in Induction from level select
@@samwise3s596 OMG thank you so much I got so tired of watching the cut scene thank you
can u make an any% tutorial in the future

@@samwise3s596 ok thank you very much for the insight, I wish u luck on your speedrunning endeavours
How do you see level runtime records from the menu
Runtime records are not stored in game. You can either look at records on speedrun.com or keep track of your own with Livesplit
