As per old recruitment rules...before 2019...Urdu was the official language...but after formation of UT of Jandk...English Urdu Hindi Dogri and Kashmiri are the official languages...but as you know that English is the only language which is common to all people's of JandK....so it is mandatory to remove urdu from patwari posts...otherwise there should be protest from Jammu side aspirants...becoz only taking urdu for official purposes voilates Official language criteria of UT ofJandk...
