They Started Out Singing on Father MC's Rap song.. **Treat'em Like they Want to be Treated** where they met Puff. He was the Dancer...in the background on the video.

Sure & Kyle West helped them shape their first album. Ya’ll have to stop making stuff to sound like you know something. Do the necessary knowledge on the group. The most puff did was help style the group & appearing their videos. Puff had absolutely no power at uptown.

You do hear a little bit of their vibe in this song. That "I'm lying here waiting for you" that's similar to that "Baby I'm begging Baby I'm Begging Begging Baby."
And that same formula how JOJO comes in with the Bridge man they nailed this. I thought the "Gave me ALLLLLL" was the Chorus but they switched it up so sweet man.
This should've been bigger than what it was. They really came through on this. The production is modern, but definitely still has DeVante's classic formula. K-Ci came with quality as always.

I’m 81 yrs old grew up in a famous family in the music industry and I’ve seen many many groups, but Jodeci is the first group that I’ve known to have every phase covered, they had it all, there was nothing they needed, Devante the musical genius breathed untouchable Iconic life into this group, they had it all. The writer arranger producer musicians singers style so on and so forth Unmatchable, the first and only group that came with their lol album already just needing a label. I can truly say Jodeci is ICONIC & legendary.

Watching him feel the song you get the meanings of each word he sings, there’s none like him even today, who other artist goes as deep into a song as he, whatever, the sky is the limit with his performances. He demands your attention. Although sometimes he gets wild and seem out of control, you stop ✋ and understand he’s into what he’s feelings and respect him for being un afraid to let you into to the inside of Kci himself. Only artist that goes close to him are gospel singers. Kc I just does it about love 💕, all which comes from God.

Fun fact: this song was written by Devante when he was 16 and recorded by jodeci for their demo that they showcased to the record label that signed them. Almost all their classic songs came from that demo. The original Forever my Lady, stay, come and talk to me, gotta luv, my heart belongs to you (re-recorded for their second album), luv u 4 life and many songs on their first album like u and I, x we share, I’m still waiting etc were from that demo he did when he was just a teenager.
