On the same day that I toured the Henninger Brewery I came to the Palmengarten on a fieldtrip and then to the prehistoric museum with all the dinosours!!!! Thank YOU!!!!!!!
Oh my goodness thank you for the Memories! One time I rode my bike all the way from von Steuben to the Palmengarten. I was in the 5th grade. Back then as a child you could practically go anywhere
Guten Tag Otis and Lynn. I happily rediscovered your video uploades this morning. I have enjoyed watching your videos of Frankfurt, Germany in the past and now I will continue to vicariously reminis thru you and Lynn of my happy days spent in Frankfurt and Offenbach back in 1970 and 71. Best wishes to both of you and stay safe. How this Covid 19 virus has changed the world.
Thanks, spearhead3ad, for your koolness... and I'd like to mention that it was real hard to come up with what to do with all the captured footage. For example, about 1-hour of video and 45 pictures were taken. Plus, it was real frustrating trying to decide on what to show and what not to in the vid... I mean, how does one present a huge garden of over 20 acres?!? LOL! I surely don't know, so, I just decided to try and keep the vid moving as much as possible - hence the train ride footage, and to keep the length of the Vlog under 25 minutes. I really wanted to avoid my friends and viewers from yawning or falling asleep because the Palmengarten does have the reputation, serenity and calmness to often do that. BTW, I used a Canon ISUX HD 175 camera, and left the vid as uncompressed as possible when I edited it and uploaded it, so the colors would be more vivid and saturated. Even though RUclips does compress all video uploads in their system. In the end, this 1.5GB, 24 min. video, took 7.5 hours to upload. I kid you not. Thanks for stoppin'-by!
@@FrankfurtAlumniVideo My god! I had no idea it took so long to upload a video of that quality, that's amazing Otis! Man thanks for the hard work brother, it is very much appreciated, seriously!!!!
Hey, Holy Joe. I didn't know you knew about the PalmenGarten too... Wow, what aren't you familiar with when it comes to Frankfurt?!? LOL! I trust Poland is treating you and the family very well. TFSB!
I remember going here as a kid, Otis (75-81). I watched your Von Stuben, Platen video as well. We probably crossed paths at the swing sets there. :) I remember they had row boats back then and me and my buddies liked to chase each other around the pond.
Great fun and good times! More information in the vid's description.
Thank you so much. We loved visiting The Palmengarten when we lived in Frankfurt.
Hi, Cathy! I'm always really glad when I can help stir up some good memories... Thanks for stoppin'-by!

Thank you so much! We have many happy memories from Frankfurt.
This brings back some awesome memories. In 1972, my wife and I lived in a small apartment in the Palmengarten Hotel right outside the front gate.
