I was a professional car photographer in the '70s and '80s and, after photographing the V8 just before its launch (it arrived with the badges taped and the tape had to be put back after shooting!), I knew I had to have one . . . which I finally did in 1977 when I found a Harvest Gold '73 BGT V8. I owned it for three years in the late '70s and loved it. My good friend Richard Monk, a fellow founder member of the MGOC, found a black one after driving mine and we toured together in our V8s a few times. One pedantic point on the car in the video, the V8 only had a badge on the near side wing when leaving the factory . . . although most proud owners (like me) added one to the off side for the extra identification!
It looks stunning in black

They weren’t this clean and straight coming off the assembly line 😅. Beautiful!!!
The MG V8, definitely on the dream list for the garage.
Beautiful work mate.
Wow…utterly gorgeous.
An exceptional V8. Lovely little car.
What a beauty, makes mine look dreadful 😂
Better than new and one of the most undervalued classics
That is nice
Ooooooffffff!!
