Man. I started weeping the second the sweet melodies of this video began. The beauty of what you have with all of the worshipers that come and spend time with you and sing with you provokes such a deep admiration and jealousy in me. There's so much I want to learn and so many questions I have, but there's no one here to mentor me or just sit and sing to the Lord with me like this. Man, the ache is real. I think that's why I appreciate everything you've been putting out, Rita, especially in this season. This is just so beautiful. Your heart to provide this space is beautiful.
You already have in you what God desires for worship. Sit by yourself and just start humming any tune and start talking to Him. He’s right there with you and you are the joy of His heart!
This can’t be taught… it must be “caught”. Sounds to me like you’re catching it. If you play an instrument, start with a song. Let the chord progression continue after the the song reaches the end. Ask yourself “Is there a phrase in the song that was really hitting me?” Begin to sing the phrase. Expound on it. Put your own words to it. Sing it straight to God. There’s usually a wealth of importation that comes in these moments. Holy Spirit meets us and reveals Himself in fresh, deep ways. So don’t be afraid to just start. Just you and the LORD. If you don’t know what to sing, open your Bible and sing one of the Psalms. Let what’s in your heart out! One thing I learned about this- PRACTICE COUNTS. He’s not waiting for it to be perfect… he just wants to hear your voice!

Sometimes the pressure of ‘performance’ seems to crowd out the intimacy I have more when I worship alone. Sometimes just playing piano, I am tearing up. It’s like crying is an unwelcomed form of worship, although the tears are from an overwhelming deep appreciation, love and adoration of Gods presence, loving kindness, grace, mercy, etc…HE IS GOOD!
