I love this video. It is the video that broke the camel’s back. This video made me buy a pair of beige pants. All my bottoms are black, blue and denim. I was really surprised to see how many ways you can style a pair of beige pants. Thank you.😮
I’m wearing Safari style today: beige cotton cargo skirt, neutral silk scarf and ivory linen jacket, all from Banana Republic, with a black silk blend knit polo top from H&M. Black, mid-heel, Pikolinos leather sandals and black and beige striped tote (Amazon). I’ll wear this practical, versatile skirt with my brown nubuck hiking boots in the autumn, too, it’s very versatile. Like other ladies who commented here, I’ve loved Safari style since it trended in the late 70s, when I was a teenager. I also love Preppy style, which was all we wore in my university years, the early 80s. A collared, Polo knit top feels so much fresher than a boring old t-shirt, is just as comfy (especially in silk) and basic, and the collar frames the face. And vests, of course, hugely trending now, are preppy essentials.
I wear mostly skirt outfits and dresses (trousers never fit my straight shape, I have no hip curves), which gives femininity to my looks. But, I love the masculin/feminine touch of French style, so I often sharpen up a soft, silk skirt with a tailored, collared shirt. I don’t like very frilly looks, plus I’m 64, so I avoid anything too girlish. I’m also quite small, both in height and frame/weight, and very young styles can look comical on me! Balance is the key, with emphasis on the classic style that have endured for decades.
I was a teenager in the 70s and still love boho. I don't like overly masculine looks. I much prefer a more feminine way of dressing. I like a bit of edge as well. Leather pants with a feminine blouse us a look I love.
I just moved to Abu Dhabi, so spending time between London, Europe and Abu Dhabi which is very confusing for clothes! Do you work privately as stylist?
Could you please clarify... you say wide leg cut suits all body shapes then you say if petite I recommend straight or loose cut? I am 5'2" 114 lbs. with slim legs. Rosie 👩🦳 75 Toronto 🇨🇦
