Sometimes after the end of a career, after trauma or tragedy, after any of life’s curve balls, connection and purpose can be lost. When this happens it can invite isolation and the unknown which can lead to loneliness and distress, when connection is lost it opens up the net that can protect us from falling. Connected By Inc. is a charity that supports ex-service personnel, first responders and the general public with support to promote mental wellness through creative and challenging personal pursuits.

Bravo! I’ve been making hollow wooden boards for over 10 years and I think you really nailed it when you talked about the meditative state one is in while making a board. I also like the idea that there are no mistakes just changes because that’s the mindset you have to have when you do encompass something that you weren’t planning on. I also really like the idea of bringing this craft to those who need that peace it brings. I’ve been wanting to teach my middle schoolers this craft as well. Please keep posting your progress even if it’s in a less polished form I think we would all like to see how you are putting this together and be able to play it in our room where we are at.
