School Security Workshop with Dave Shanks, GaP-CEM, CPD

David Shanks is the Area 1 (Northeast Georgia) Homeland Security Coordinator for the Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency. He has been with the State of Georgia since 2015 and in involved in public safety since 1994. He has served as an EMT with Cove, Texas Fire, Rescue and EMS, an ExxonMobil ERT Team member, Rescue Chief/Rescue Diver for the Stephens County Rescue Team, as well as a police officer for the City of Lavonia, City of Clarkesville, Piedmont University, and the City of Toccoa. This workshop took place online in February 2023.
