Thank you for this very informative, no fluff, no long conversation, no crazy music and perfect tutorial. This is great to get someone started. You would be fabulous at making more of them and getting deeper into more of what the program can do. You understand that we just want to learn and not see your cat being cute and what’s in your coffee and How you picked the carpet On the floor. Bahaha! Thanks. I definitely subscribed.

Question: Once a block/quilt is designed, can the artist download the file and use it as part of a pattern to be sold?

Great tutorial but curious why you are not showing how to use the tool icons? It can be confusing for people just learning to have to find the header to find the correct drop down box. For instance, just hit the top sketch book icon to save a quilt, Then hit the other sketchbook icon to see all your quilts, blocks, photos, motifs, etc. I also was sad that this was not a tutorial on Writing a Quilt Pattern with EQ8 as it stated in the heading. You did show some basics of EQ8 but I was hoping to see tips and tricks for WRITING a Quilt Pattern. You definitely have the voice for a tutorial and instructor. I wish you luck in your future tutorials. Thank you for your time in making this video.

The title of this is misleading. You are designing a quilt, not writing the pattern.

Definitely. I was looking for a how to WRITE the pattern after designing the quilt. So misleading and so disappointing.
