not saying i dont like the wrangler I would buy a wrangler if they put an updated version of the 4.0L engine, I own a 98 grand cherokee myself. I've done so many cylinder head jobs, lifters, rockers, tapping noises. no compression. burned exhaust valves. Mostly the cylinder head problems ranging from 12-14. The occasional lifters/rockers failing on 15' now.
The 3.6 is a great motor... what are you talking about?

I will keep my 96 grand Cherokee over any of those any day seem like took the man out of the Jeep. How embarrassing. It seems like they forgot the history of the Jeep the jeep was not meant for racing but built strong durable to Climb and to go where there was no roads they can keep their soccer mom Jeeps I'm glad I got a real one and one of the best ever made 😁✌️
Jeep still has many many DIFFERENT models as you describe. Straight up a hill without worry. Jeep ALSO has a 20k model, a 75k race model, a 50k race model, a 25k yuppie model, a 30k family model or two, and soon a pickup and a full sized family hauler. ALL of them can be bought equipped to go straight up that hill. or maybe not if you don't need that much testosterone. Because Jeeps are now for everyman[woman too], they can keep making your Wrangler better and better every decade. Get over it all.

Had a 2008 Cherokee laredo, aftermarket chrome grill and under screen, 60 wide wheels and, unfortunately the 3.7 engine. Loved it's looks and was elated I could sell it to a member of my immediate family. But alas, the 3.7 was a real disappointment. My Chrysler 300 with the 3.6, now that is a different story but too low to the ground to get to my mountain cabin. Solution; 2011 Mercedes Benz ML350 awd.
