After the encumbered update change so we are no longer completely stopping movement, you can now use being encumbered to your advantage when placing items down like those benches very close together with the slow movement speed while encumbered.
Your videos recently popped up for me because of Palworld and I am so glad!! You've been one of the only creators that I have seen who is doing more cozy things in Palworld and that is how I'm playing too hahaha. So your videos have been a big help! One tip I found for the vines and ivy is to place the big curtain one an then place 2-3 of the short hanging ones inside of the curtain one to add depth and more colors/shades! It really has helped my builds a ton. You can also throw in the horizontal one too for different places. (I know this one isn't about the vines haha but it is the most recent, sorry!)
You can put candy pop into each slot of the food storage (or any storage box) and the pals wont be able to put any food in it. You get candy pop from Woolipop pals.
I never realized I enjoyed the more Cozy, aesthetic way of playing games like Palworld, but I got your channel recommended and I realized I do like it! I'm more of a fighter/explorer myself, but it is fascinating and enjoyable to see a way of playing that I never do, great content!
exactly this. In one of your other videos where you recommended aesthetic locations, i went in game to one and was absolutely floored by it. It reminded me of when i was younger and experienced the wonder of discovery once more. Thank you for this. I never knew i needed that after so many years.
If you play Sims you'd really enjoy every tiny bit of detail here. I also play for the adventure but I do make sure that my very home looks aesthetic and pleasing to the eye.
I held out against Palworld for a few weeks, but finally gave in this past weekend and now I'm obsessed. I've been going back and re-watching your Palworld videos for inspiration, so this came at the perfect time. I loooove the look of the two-tier deck - I'm definitely going to give this a try
Same here, but my hdd is actually bottlenecking my pc lol, serious fps drops coz of it. First time I ran into slow disk issue. But new ssd is on the way but itll take a few weeks sad.
I also really hope we get new base building items soon, I'd love to have more roof options like inward & outward bend roofs, railings, roof overhangs, half structures like half walls, stairs, etc.
That'd be so great! Like we have vending machines and stuff 😂 we definitely need more furniture items whether they have a use or not. We also need to be able to turn storage on and off for some items so our pals don't just throw things in the closest open slot. It's so tedious filling all the slots with one coin so they don't do that 😅😅
When using the food basket for decoration, I think you can put medicine in it. So if you split a stack of medicine so it has one in each slot the Pals should treat it as full, so they won't try to put anything in it, and they also won't feed from it. That said, I never thought of using it for decoration and I definitely am going to now.
I recommend putting another layer of benches so they actually function as railings as one layer you can walk over them but if you make it two layers you won't be able to just walk over them
this is so clever, you make me excited to try and decorate my house and base, i'd love to know how you make your pal beds look good, cus i just got the big blue ones and they're HUGE, the green ones already take up so much room but now it's even worse, you need to sprinkle your Caito magic to make a good looking pal bed area, i need ideas badly
I did this last week....after watching your last inspirational decorating video and made a deck above my house. Used the same big plant to fill in the gaps in the middle and ends. *We DESPERATELY need more plants* ☘️ 🌵 To did the most beeeeautiful interior btw. With not much to work with you managed to make it gorgeous 🥰
I think a tip for the part with the diagonal stairs is if you place the stairs first and then put back the bottom foundation it works better sometimes :)
I didn't know you can place stairs without a foundation or a wall at all. Good to know. Though the main reason she cannot place stairs in this situation, is because the stairs would usually be longer and further down, but the part of the stairs below the visible surface would collide with the wood foundation. A tiny bit further away, she'd have no problem placing them
Yes but the stairs should clip into the foundation as long as its placed first. Sometimes in game I've noticed the order really matters to achieve the desired goal.
So cute, love what the final product looks like. The palworld devs have beefing up building on their to-do list, can't wait to see what creations you come up with then.
very cute, I too have been feeling the pains of no railing or low fencing. You got me wanting to do a base tour video myself lol although because the end game benches are assembly lines I went with a more industrial post-apocalyptic compound, over the cozy ranch I started in the beginning of the game, for my big build.
Tysm for this building guides! I loved your video wher you explained how to build a stone foundation at ground level so it looks like a pathway, it looks so much better thanks to you 🧡.
Another good use of benches that I've had to use them for is to be used as a lifted floor area. I had built some stairs up to an area that I couldn't get to line up quite right. But it just happened to be off set by the hight of the bench so I layed out a bunch next to each other and it looks like a darn good wooden deck. Plan to try using it in another house as a way to elevate the rest of a room from the entrance. We'll see how that turns out. I'm assuming most decorative items can be placed on top of them
Found your channel today and it has already helped me so much. However, now I have even more things to OCD on like the benches as railings. Dope videos, keep them coming
Little tipp of what I do when I don't want pals getting to a specific box, is to grab an item pals and I never need, like for example a gumoss leaf, and fill the box with it. Just place 1 leaf in each slot. I also do this for my rock and wood boxes, so pals don't put anything else in them.
Thank you so much for this and the paths with stone foundation! All the Palworld stuff is this pal and that and no one really talks about the aesthetics and being as creative as possible with the minimal construction available. I really like the challenge. I in particular am fond of making a sort of 'stables' with the beds where I place the triangular segments between each foundation/wall piece. It can look really nice, though I haven't worked too much with the much larger pals. Chillet in particular looks super cute in this scenario.
Your videos are a godsend, I've been wanting so badly for railings on my porch, thank you!!!! I can't wait for the next video to see what else you help us with :3
Dont know if you'll see this but for anyone wanting to create the 2 level effect with foundations and they keep "locking" together the simple fix is too start further out than you need and once you have one placed you can easily lock it in to that foundation and when you get close to your other level you will get to choose which level you want your foundation to stick to. Its the only way i found to make two kr three close foundation blocks without having them lock together, just takes trail and error to work out the distances from further away and when you have it how you like you can always discrad the further out foundation blocks that you placed Idk if that made any sense, if not feel free to reply and ill try to explain better best of luck
If you cut down that tree to place a wall, it will likely grow back since the ground is still open, they do sometimes block building of a wall like that
Tip I figured out for fine tuning placement of the blueprint. Be overencumbered. It makes slowly moving the blueprint into place that much easier cuz your movement isn't so choppy and sporadic.
When you're lining things up, stand in line with them. It's so much easier to get the angle correct if you were standing 90 degrees and placing the benches length wise instead of widthwise.
I've been looking for videos that show base designs. I End up coming back to your videos. So glad YOU are making these. as you had made some really great vids. I want to share a tip I saw. when having a 2 lv stone box, place DEFENSIVE stone walls around it, to give it a Medieval look, as its just as tall, and can give a basic stone foundation a castle aesthetic if you want pals to NOT use the food basket. fill every slot with a single CANDY CANE. Pink goat can be placed on the farm and it will generate some candy cane. this trick helps a lot so Pals don't use containers/boxes. you can try same trick with coins if you don't have the Egyptian cat to generate coins. or even blue basic Pal spheres if you dont have Vixi making them.
This game has really good basics. But it needs much much more items. For example much more different interior and exterior iitems different fourniture, beds etc. Improvising can be a temporary solution. I reached maximum level right now and it's frustrating being not able to unlock new items. This limits my creativity.
I hope the devs take videos like this as an example on future updates. Vanity~! Using Conan Exiles as an example because they're on the same engines, the devs saw how much players love form just as much as function and gave us all sorts of things to work with, such as corner roof places, inverted wall angles, RAILINGS, and so much more. And then in the form of DLC, we have many packs for different styles of buildings and what not.
Man I gotta say for all of it's charm, Pal World is really lacking in the base building department. Maybe it's because the two games I played before picking up Pal World were Satisfactory and Enshrouded, but the game really leaves a lot to be desired in building QoL. Looking forward to improvements/overhaul in the future!
I'm also using the benches as rails in my base. I really like the aesthetic using barrels, but it's difficult to find a balance between functionality and aesthetic. I don't like pals scattering my items in loads of different containers, which means I've had to remove a lot of furniture from my house. Pocketpair should make furniture (bookshelves, barrels, etc) personal storage only so Pals can't access them.
Hi Caito! You should do a "Base Decoration Review" contest, where you react and comment on othe people's hosue decorations 💕💕 Your vision/style of decoratins is just gorgeous, thank you for all your tips
Normally I like to go for efficient bases that also look pleasant, unfortunately because of the base size (especially later in the game) it's pretty much impossible to have everything set up within your perimeter AND make it look good. I hope they will make the base radius larger so I can do both eventually.
If ur on pc, there's a mod to build things less restricted, for example u can overlapping, build fondation mid air, etc. So u can almost build anything anywhere
What I do is I crouch or even intentionally encumber my character so I can move so slowly when aligning objects. EDIT: You can also stand on the bench to easily put the vase on the bench. Sometimes, jumping gets tough with the timing.
Many great tips in this video. Obviously they will add in railings and half walls like ark and rust.. Heck when you capture the trader and make him work at the bench he uses a generic unity asset pack keypad entry animation to build with. I kinda like the jankyness. It makes it funny, almost a comedic parody of previous games.
I hope they will revamp how the Building works in the Game to be less restricting and would be also kinda cool to build stuff like the Fruit Basket/chests but disable the function of them so Pals wont go there
They will put food up there. I'm fairly sure of it. I keep getting tomatoes in my breeding pen. You should have cut the tree down. It would have grown back, unless you were trying to build directly on it. I have one near my base that I have to cut down, if I want to make any changes on that side.
A little tip for time saving: I always have a monkey on my party all the time and throw them out once I'm satisfied with the placing of my not yet built items. They are also super effective on building hard to access items, like wall mounted torches, curtains or ceiling lamps. Just make sure you throw them agains the item.
If you want your pals to not randomly put things in boxes use the cotton candy item to fill your boxes 2 reasons it’s food so they won’t fill things with rocks and wood and 2 it never expires. You do need a specific pal to get it, it’s called Woolipop it’s really cute, you can semi do the same thing with your actual food boxes just be warned your pals will eat it if it’s in your food container but you can use this as a means to save your pals from eating cake ingredients if they somehow get through the berries. All the same things can be done with honey but that’s used for cakes so I don’t recommend it. I’ve been loving your videos on this game ty for making them also it might be easier to do stuff like the deck you made from top to bottom cause this game is picky about clipping.
I was wondering what i could use as railings basically just so i don't walk off my very high deck at the wrong point on accident and fall to my death. This should work, thanks so much!
3:54 you mention your worry of Pals putting food in the basket, but I stuck individual coins in mine so they can't deposit anything in it. I do this with all my decorative stuffs like that. Food for thought!
I really hope they expand the available peices for base building. One of the reasons I am addicted to Enshrouded at the moment is the amazing base building.
in my experience they will go out of there way to put food in a food basket first I believe regardless of distance? But I could be wrong? the I just stuff the decor ones with cotton candy that always seems to work
Stairs really are annoying when building. After hours of playing around building in Palworld, roofs and stairs has to go in the last order after you're done building the layout of the house since they can clip through certain things. Looking forward for more creative designs for our lovely house or even castles!
I would like it if they manage to implement snap to grid for building. I would like my stuff even.. especially with the defensive walls, they shift for some reason when I reload my game. lol
If you want to make sure you pals don't add items to that food basket, go ahead and grab yourself a Woolipop, shove it in a ranch and wait for it to drop some cotton candy. This is a food item, but unlike the others, it does not spoil. Put one item in each spot, and Pals will not attempt to put any other food in there. This also works as a way to avoid pals putting raw ingredients in their actual food basket. I usually set a decent food in slot one (they eat from slot 1 outwards) then a cheaper backup food in slot 2 and put cotton candy in the rest. Harvesting pals will look elsewhere to put harvested food, so if the other other option is your freezer, you can make sure it lasts longer ;)
I can't wait for them to add more aspects to the building as well as additional buildable structures and items. Of course, I'm also looking forward to the next generation of Pals.
The bench railing is not unlike how people make railings out of anvils in Minecraft. It looks weird at first, until it's all done. Also if you want to make the bench railing look less like benches, put down some actual chairs next to them. Your brain will see the chairs as the obvious seating area instead of the benches framing it.
A lot of trees can actually be cut down before placing something close to them and they will grow back. I'm not sure what decides if they will grow back or not, but it has definitely worked for a number of my builds.
Im glad someone enjoy building as much as i do. I really love buildings is this game, they restricts and offers some creative freedom that allows me to enjoy buildings is this game. I think i gonna make one game with no raids, since that always sucks.
I started my small base build and ended with a 4 story functional castle complete with castle walls engulfing my pal village 😅 but watching your videos gives me so many ideas thank you!
I see I'm not the only person who thought the benches make at least adequate impromptu railings. Now I'm wondering if they might look and function better if you stacked benches on top of each other to try and get them waist high.
along with more Building and decorative pieces, I hope they give us the ability to make it so pals will ignore some storage things, or dictate what storage for them to use I like to do what you do, like place the feed box as decorative peace and the boxes and what not. but I have noticed that even with a feed box's next to my farms and storage next to where all my recourses are gathered like stone and wood, they will run all over the place and put the stuff in random boxes all over the place, even if the box or feed box is on the other side of the base. I have resorted to putting 1 piece of honey in all slots of a box I don't want them to use, you can use any item really. I like honey for the feed box because it is a "food Item" that can go in to it and it don't decay, But even then some times they will run over and eat the honey and then fill it with random stuff
you placed a Foundation up the hill then tried to add stairs to foundation below but the stairs turned red ... Remove the lower foundation, Place the stairs, then add the lower foundation back to get them to clip together.
i did use benches too, they are the best option for railings, tried different stuff. your build looks very good, i feel like we have the same ideas when building
Quick building tip for building around cliffs. Slanted roof tiles can be placed in the cliff walls to make it look like the building is fully attached to the cliff. I hope that makes sense lol
Bench railings are kinda a thing though. Making a small deck, having the whole thing lined with a bench instead of a railing is a good way to make extra space for people to sit and talk.
I can't wait for them to improve building to see you flourish here even more. Top tip: you can use candy from a future pal in the ranch, it doesn't time out and no one eats it, you can use it to fluff out empty slots in storage so it's not used by pals 🎉

I can't wait to use these tips to make the office area in my factory feel more cozy.
This is so creative! I hope they add more decorative items into the game!
You can also stack the benches on top of each other and make staircases
Tip: There's a mod that allows you to ignore more of the clipping issues you should totally look into that
You can put candy pop into each slot of the food storage (or any storage box) and the pals wont be able to put any food in it. You get candy pop from Woolipop pals.
thank you so much it was so helpful !!
I never realized I enjoyed the more Cozy, aesthetic way of playing games like Palworld, but I got your channel recommended and I realized I do like it! I'm more of a fighter/explorer myself, but it is fascinating and enjoyable to see a way of playing that I never do, great content!
Thank you so much! I definitely lean more cozy with my play style but also love fighting and exploring too sometimes! 🤍
try craftopia you might like it
exactly this.
Pals get stuck on everything...
"Im going to build railings"
fr
I held out against Palworld for a few weeks, but finally gave in this past weekend and now I'm obsessed. I've been going back and re-watching your Palworld videos for inspiration, so this came at the perfect time. I loooove the look of the two-tier deck - I'm definitely going to give this a try
Welcome to the obsession 😏
Same here, but my hdd is actually bottlenecking my pc lol, serious fps drops coz of it. First time I ran into slow disk issue. But new ssd is on the way but itll take a few weeks sad.
I also really hope we get new base building items soon, I'd love to have more roof options like inward & outward bend roofs, railings, roof overhangs, half structures like half walls, stairs, etc.
That'd be so great! Like we have vending machines and stuff 😂 we definitely need more furniture items whether they have a use or not. It's so tedious filling all the slots with one coin so they don't do that 😅😅
I do recommend the no building restrictions mod to help ya with future builds, it'll essentially let ya build anywhere ya want without an issue
Until it breaks ^^ like mods tend to do in early acces titles ^^
When using the food basket for decoration, I think you can put medicine in it. So if you split a stack of medicine so it has one in each slot the Pals should treat it as full, so they won't try to put anything in it, and they also won't feed from it.
That said, I never thought of using it for decoration and I definitely am going to now.
Just cotton candy works foo
I recommend putting another layer of benches so they actually function as railings as one layer you can walk over them but if you make it two layers you won't be able to just walk over them
I need someone like you in my server. I definitely don't have this kind of vision in building games.
Excellent example of working with what you've got! I love the benches as railing. 💖
Pro tip. make the roof tiles and ground tiles in the crisscross patterns, it'll look so much better than when they're all in the same direction.
this is so clever, you make me excited to try and decorate my house and base, i'd love to know how you make your pal beds look good, cus i just got the big blue ones and they're HUGE, the green ones already take up so much room but now it's even worse, you need to sprinkle your Caito magic to make a good looking pal bed area, i need ideas badly
✍🏻 pal bed area. Got it! Thank you lisa!!!

4:00 Yes they will. Palworld pathing is horrible and rendering position placement is even worse 👍
You are really skilled at this it open my mind to the possibilities of making my base more appealing.
Fill the food basket with honey, im actually not sure if they can eat the honey but it does fill the spaces up
Always love your cozy guide. Great video, thankyou
inspiring my A since animal crossing and now you're inspiring my palworld creations
Your videos are a godsend, I've been wanting so badly for railings on my porch, thank you!!!! I can't wait for the next video to see what else you help us with :3
#banned THIS IS SO GOOD! I love how the diagonal second level gives some interest to the deck!
Thanks Steph 🥺😭
I hope they add tree decorations in the future
Like just different types of trees the game has
Dont know if you'll see this but for anyone wanting to create the 2 level effect with foundations and they keep "locking" together the simple fix is too start further out than you need and once you have one placed you can easily lock it in to that foundation and when you get close to your other level you will get to choose which level you want your foundation to stick to.

That's a good idea, it was driving me nuts thanks
If you cut down that tree to place a wall, it will likely grow back since the ground is still open, they do sometimes block building of a wall like that
u can try replace stairs with slanted roofs if the stairs refuse to be built if ure ok with the color xD
Word, I never thought building could be so cool in this game it was very frustrating to use but after finding your channel I see what I can do now

Hi friend, for your aesthetic food basket, put something like 1 honey in each slot and the pals will ignore the basket. I like your set btw! Very cute
That hat! The way the leaves bob when you walk 😍 so you!

This is the most "woman" video I ever watched. It was like watching Lola Bunny on The Looney Toons Show but Palworld settlement decoration.
This chick has created HGTV: Palworld 😆 But seriously, great video. It still amazes me how much they have packed into this game.

Love your aesthetic, I stopped building in wood after a herd of tocotocos joined ISIS and suicide bombed me literally to the Stone Age.
I mean, if a tree is blocking your build...just cut it down. Worked great in the main base on my private world
along with more Building and decorative pieces, I hope they give us the ability to make it so pals will ignore some storage things, or dictate what storage for them to use
I like to do what you do, like place the feed box as decorative peace and the boxes and what not.
but I have noticed that even with a feed box's next to my farms and storage next to where all my recourses are gathered like stone and wood, they will run all over the place and put the stuff in random boxes all over the place, even if the box or feed box is on the other side of the base.
I have resorted to putting 1 piece of honey in all slots of a box I don't want them to use, you can use any item really.
I like honey for the feed box because it is a "food Item" that can go in to it and it don't decay, But even then some times they will run over and eat the honey and then fill it with random stuff
To place the stairs, delete the existing foundation to make room. Once they're down, you can normally replace the foundation on the lower section
you placed a Foundation up the hill then tried to add stairs to foundation below but the stairs turned red ... Remove the lower foundation, Place the stairs, then add the lower foundation back to get them to clip together.
Your voice makes this sound like on those Dollar Store DIY videos that are popular on RUclips. I mean that in a good way.
Um, this is a very well known thing. Everybody knows this already.
I didn’t. Most don’t. It’s a very new game.
I am using this mod called No Building Restrictions, now I can build stairs anywhere I want.
I'm getting PTSD by looking at your wooden home. My home burned down twice and now I never use wood.
i did use benches too, they are the best option for railings, tried different stuff. your build looks very good, i feel like we have the same ideas when building
Quick building tip for building around cliffs. Slanted roof tiles can be placed in the cliff walls to make it look like the building is fully attached to the cliff. I hope that makes sense lol
Ah I never gave it a chance looking from below. I tried these for a balcony, and instantly dismissed it when it didn't seem to look great.
if you double stack them they look better as fencing! And then barstools can be stacked for "posts/columns"
DOES ANYBODY KNOW if there is a way to make bridges over water?
Pals with higher handiwork will use the pal gear bench, also if you use the feedbox as a prop, fill it with one stacks of non-perishables
Its funny how they gave us so many decorative items but no railings. Still love playing this game and i might use this, thanks for the tip
Funny we used the same thing for railings. There's also a few items you can overlap/fuse for interior designs as well.
A little tip here: You can also make pillars by stacking the woven baskets wich can help with railing and does alot for balcony and patios
Bench railings are kinda a thing though. Making a small deck, having the whole thing lined with a bench instead of a railing is a good way to make extra space for people to sit and talk.
looks great
Palworld definitely needs to add a "nudge" feature like LEGO Fortnite has.
I can't wait for them to improve building to see you flourish here even more.
Top tip: you can use candy from a future pal in the ranch, it doesn't time out and no one eats it, you can use it to fluff out empty slots in storage so it's not used by pals 🎉
