The first outfit looks adorable on you! The floral with tiny flowers made you look like you were much older and followed by the dark blue and your back to Meredith and you love it! I do like the earrings but I’m not wearing them. The dress you had on when you started, not from the box was cute! At this point you have enough clothes to be picky and only get the dress.

I agree. Looked amazing but if you won't wear the cropped pants then you have to return. I also have larger calves and if I'm walking around they pull my jeans down if they are too grippy on the calves.

I'm keeping 6 of the 8 items. And it had the perfect pair of jeans for me. They are Liverpool. They cost $98, and I decided I would send them back before I got them. But they are the best-fitting pants I've got. So they're staying. Meredith, I really enjoy your style of try-ons. You rock, my friend!!

If you don’t love them, don’t get them but I thought the jean crops looked fabulous on you. Agree the top doesn’t fit. That seam should be under the bust.

Hey, Meredith! Hope you're feeling a bit better now, though in my experience it's around 7-10 days when you really turn the corner and start feeling more human and like life really is the better option! 😂
I liked everything in the box except the light blue dress. I liked the dress in theory - just held up - but the cut is skimpy and on the small or narrow side. That worked in your favor on the bodice which is why you didn't need a stitch. It fit perfectly. But the skirt wasn't cut with enough fullness to work. It needed a couple of inches added where it joined the bodice and then a slight A-line from there. And they made it too short by a couple of inches. So it *could* have been a winner, but missed the mark because of a poor cut.
I LOVED the black top! I'm beyond sad that you didn't keep it. It was so flattering on you and was nice enough for work or dinner and could be nice casual for brunch or lunch with friends or a day of shopping. And I LOVED the jeans on you! I wasn't expecting to, but there you go. They fit so well and were so slenderizing because of it. I'm sad about those, too. They were pricey, but I think worth it since you don't have anything like them and because of the perfect fit and wash.
And the dress you kept was adorable! Lots of details, but in a good and not fussy way. It just looked like *your* dress when you put it on.
I thought the earrings were pretty. But I think you made the right call if you didn't love them for $29. Not too expensive, but more than you want to pay for earrings you're on the fence about.
I guess in MY mind, I'd have bought the box. I liked the earrings and need another option in gold in that shape. And buying the box is like getting the light blue dress for free. So I'd either donate it or cut it yourself make a top by detaching the skirt from the bodice, then cutting the skirt, measuring up from the bottom to include the detail. Then I'd discard the part of the skirt originally attached to the bodice and gather the bottom section of the skirt onto the bodice, gathering more on the sides and leaving the center of the skirt flatter in front. Gather evenly across the back. It would take a little time, but could be really cute.

I had gotten those jeans in a box, and I like the way they felt. And I like the way they looked, but after I walked around in them for a little bit, and sat down in them it’s like the knee part stretched and then kind of kept stuck out a little bit, so I didn’t like them for that reason.
Ha!! I’d have kept everything except the earrings. Novel design but actually look too heavy to me. Lucky you that I’m not making your decisions!

@@BigonStyle Gosh, I guess you should have e done a pj’s video! I love pajamas but because I use flannel sheets I’ve learned that they need satiny jamies so when I turn over at night, the sheets stay in place. 😂. Brushed satin are my favorites. Guess it’s a good thing that they’re harder to find. lol.

I love that, Alison- that is literally why I started doing these! My sister in law (probably a US size 6) got a stitch fix and asked me to use her code, but when I was looking for ideas as to what I would get, I just did not find msny that reflected me. There are great options out there, but the styles do vary a lot by size. Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment!

Well, this was actually filmed before surgery- the next two will be also! I’m just hanging out in bed, editing, and watching lots of tv that I never watch! Doing really well, though! I won’t go back to work until next Friday.

I was concerned about the sheer top on the Daniel Rayne dress, but seeing it on it was not obvious. Just wear a dark bra. Love the details on it!
I know what you mean about jeans…you want to be comfortable and you want them to be flattering…I thought they looked really good on you though! They were pretty pricey….I don’t think I would have bought them either at $88 dollars, they would need to be absolutely perfect at that price lol
I agree with everyone else, the cropped jeans did look great on you, but also having fat calves, I agree with you, I don’t like anything tight on my calves.
The blue floral dress the color washed you out, at least on my tablet. The style looked great on you, but the color definitely did not work with your fair skin. I have the same problem, pastels almost always wash me out and so I always gravitate to the deeper darker colors 😁. I’m also very picky when it comes to material feel. It’s gotta be soft and not even the tiniest pit scratchy.

Love the black/white top and dark blue dress the most. The jeans looked good from waist to knee, but the cling fit and the cropped length are not flattering. Cropped pants have a tendency to make people look triangular as it emphasises the width of ankles vs hips.

If you are searching for the perfect jean you should check out American Eagle denim. They have extended sizing and multiple length options. They also have all ranges of stretch and styles. I have had great luck with them!

They ask my height, and I continually put in the notes that I need tall/long, but I do not know how much they taylor to it.

Adding details to clothing definitely makes them more expensive but it is also the thing that makes you feel special. That Daniel Raines dress looks so great on you. I love the length and the printed border detail on the hem too. A lot for the money.

I think you’re right to just keep the final dress that you really like. It looks lovely on you. The earrings, though pretty, sound like they’re a bit heavy so you might end up not wearing them. The rest of the box is nothing special and I’m sure you’ll get lots of nice items in future.

Hey Deann! Not too personal at all! For comfort I really like the truekind supportive comfort- but it doesn’t give me the best shape. I’m still searching for a bra that does the shape thing as well as an underwire. - now, the most comfortable underwire that I’ve ever tried is by lane Brant, it is called the boost strapless multiway (the one that doesn’t say boost is not quite as comfortable, but I still wear it) - I wear it most days with or without straps - it is a pretty perfect balance of comfort and support (not as comfortable as wire free). Sometimes they have really good sales on them, so I would just watch!
I will absolutely do a thread up video- I have sold and bought on there in the past! I had surgery last week, so I’ve just been laying around, thinking of things to make videos on, occasionally editing videos and watching way too much television… I don’t go back to work until next Friday, so much time on my hands!!

Curious if you’ve tried Levi’s Signature straight leg jeans. I buy them in a long length as I’m 6’ tall. I too have large calves and while they cling a little I don’t find myself yanking them down when I stand up.

You are really tempting me to go back to Stitch Fix. I enjoyed it about 8 years ago. I loved the dress you kept but also the jeans and black top. I respect you being “picky”! Being large size doesn’t mean we have to lower our standards.
When I first joined, I kept a lot more. I love the experience of the boxes, but the prices are very high! There are so many brands out there that I am finding that are so much cheaper, but I really think that Stitch Fix and Wantable are fun!

Have just had to pause the video at outfit 1 and tell you how gorgeous those jeans look on you. They look so cute and would look beautiful with a tshirt, or a jumper or a... Anything! So cute with a little pump shoe, or a pair of low rise converse. Oh gosh and a little bomber jacket and a black top to go out for tea in the evening. I don't know how much they cost yet, but I'm willing them to stay! 🎉 Right, back to the try-ons ❤
