Dupuytrens Contracture is a condition that involves the skin and the tissue just beneath the skin. The cells that normally sit pretty quietly in the skin become hyper activated and they produce extra materials, things like collagen and substrates of tissue, to an extent that they actually produce a contracture in your hand and cause the fingers to draw toward the palm. As your fingers draw in toward the palm they get in the way. For more information on Dupuytrens Contracture offered by Orthopaedic Specialists, visit orthospecpgh.c....

The best overview of Dupuytrens I have found in many hours of web search.
I will see my chosen Orthopedic Specialist Wed. 01/04/2023, for advanced
contractions of my left hand middle finger & early light contractions of my
left ring finger. I ignored nodules, 1st noticed about 2 years ago. I am
right handed, so I am lucky there. I'm very lucky, as I am 84, with a very
late onset of contractions. Thank you Dr. Mark Baratz. I'll be back!

Thank you for your excellent explanation. I have it in my left hand, I think my mom did too.
I just had x-rays and found out today what it was.
