@@Chickenfinger120 I'm Mexican-American, live in LA, and have had places give lemons. It just depends on the restaurant you're eating. It's not even a regional thing.

I love the $1 tacos from the place right out side my house. I only ever drive there if it is supper snowy or rainy. Otherwise it's trivial to walk there. Idk what a block is but I bet it's 1 or fewer blocks away from me.

Duude those tacos look bomb. When it comes to mexican food, the shabbier the restaurant, the simpler the decor, the better the food. None of that gentrified over-priced hipster stuff. Especially if they have those cheap plastic chairs and the coca-cola metal tables... 😩👌 oof you're in for a treat. Lengua tacos are the best.

My daughter is half Mexican. When I lived with her grandparents I tried beef tongue tacos and also liked them. Wasn’t a fan of pig stomach tho, wayyy too chewy. I’m Ukrainian, and like “aspic.” (I recently learned that’s the proper English word for it, I’ve always called it “meat jello.”) but I only like it with chicken or pork. My mom isn’t a fan of beef, so I’ve never tried it with that, might be good. I refused to try tongue or fish versions tho. Now that I’ve tried the beef tongue tacos I might be willing to try the other variations of aspic. I like to have aspic with a side of mashed potatoes, because then the jelly melts in your mouth from their warmth.

Barbacoa is NOT lengua. Barbacoa is beef cheeks and we refer to that as cabeza. Your cheeks are not your tongue.

Ok so I’m a Mexican and and ever time I go to Mexico we always go to these spots! I was arguing with some of my friends how a REAL taco is made and I told them how the make it in Mexico but they didn’t believe me but my true bestie (we’re basically sisters) told me that it’s true bcz she reminded them that I’m Mexican. They still done believe me 🤦♀️
