@@mudsongs My pollen trap just arrived and that vertical part through which bees go and drop thier loads will not stay up(in not collecting position). Does Your stay open? Rob
@@B3RG3RS0N -- I see what you mean. No, the flap on my pollen trap stays open half the time too. I had to use tape it closed. With duct tape, I don't think I could even get it to stay on the hive.
It didn't work because you allowed that hole up top; force them to only use the trap in the beginning, than open another hole if you want; you should have that thing full. I half way fill one of those every day in the spring. I have about 46 traps just like that I got from China.
