The lake was unfortunately suspended from swimming after Hurricane Irene, the whole park and fast food place across the street were flooded. Apparently the flood screwed up the visibility of the water and deemed it unsafe for civilians. Still a great place though, plenty of other stuff to do!

I used to love Collins Park when I lived in Scotia
We swam in the lake. It had a great sandy beach. When and why did they stop it?
