love to see it, i always enjoy when people talk about HxH's incredibly gritty look at the world for a battle shounen. It's such a small scene, but the one that shows the east gorteau dictator having long gone to safety and just happily smiling stuck with me more than i thought it would. Just gives you that feeling that the ant's are at worst a distraction from the far worse horrors that await and really the expedition team were sent into clean up a small mess in the bigger picture. The nihilistic undertones of the chimera ant arc is something I really appreciate because you just don't see it in many shounen, even if some people found it to be too long or depressing.
The ants are initially build up as this existential threat to humankind and by the end they were only rated the third on the catastrophe scale the Hunter Association uses. It really drives home the point that humans have been commiting attrocities against our kin for far longer than the ants, and they haven't even gotten the time to catch up to us.
Togashi is one of those authors that can create anything the man truly has made nightmare imagery yet can make such cute image ‼️ I won’t be surprised if he ever does a horror manga
You know, at 11:10, I can’t help but point out a thing i haven’t seen anyone else point out . In the Chimera ant art, there are actual reference to real life photos they use as a reference for how they juxtapose humanity. One of them is a picture (shot by Eddie Adams) of a distressed Vietnamese man (Nguyen Van Lem) getting shot/having a gun to the head by an army cadet during the chaos of the Tet Offensive in the Vietnam war. It’s a famous photo along side others of the series and while it was very brief during the speech about the cruelty of humanity , I saw it in the anime at 12 I was really taken aback by it and really sad. The arc truly was a mirror and critique of humanity and our reality indeed.
I’m literally the same and this anime changed my life as well. Watched it at 12 but then it became pay to watch (I think) on youtube I had saw the panel with something that was similar to “the world is mine to destroy” or “ the world is to be destroyed” With disturbing human acts in the background. Ending songs 2 and 5/6 are really inspiring as well.
the first thing that made me think hxh is not a regular shounen is the moment when gon is too scared to fight hisoka. it's such an unusual thing for anime protags, they're mostly fearless or would jump into the fight no matter what. but gon was just "he is scary. i don't want to fight with him" just wow
In the 2011 anime he said “I don’t want to be here anymore” and for some reason that really hit me. It conveyed his feelings so well and resonated with me.
What's funny is HxH was completely unexpected for me, I started watching it on a whim because I thought it was about dudes hunting monsters like Monster Hunter and for some reason that's what was on my mind. I never got spoiled as to what it was or who wrote it so I was actually disappointed when I realized hunters weren't just big game monster hunters. Then I just kept watching and it uh became my favorite anime and manga series of all time so that was unexpected
Your reflections made me think about Togashi as a real person in way that I haven’t before. He is *very* skilled and creative, and I love the story he tells, but there is more to his life than just writing HxH. When you mentioned that he is “heading out into those dark waters again,” it clicked for me that writing is not an easy task - even when you’re healthy. I’m sure trying to uncover what’s next and get everything just right can be daunting even for him. I hope he lives a long and fulfilling life full of love and beauty.
What I think is great about the dualities of desire is that they, like the characters, often have their own dualities. Gon wants to see his father, but for ultimately shallow reasons (Kite told me my dad was cool, so I want to be a hunter like him), while Leorio wants money, not because he’s greedy but because he wants to become a doctor so he can cure people like his friend
i like how leorio is a deep character diaguised as a shallow one. and how despite his obsession with money, he still has a good heart with good intentions.
Gon's reason wasn't shallow,he is like an innocent wild animal. He is curious and interested in anything that interests him,he has never seen his father, raised by his aunt in the mountains, and so when kite told his father was alive and is a hunter,he was interested in the fact that what makes being a hunter so amazing he left his son. As mentioned by everyone and is shown He gives a shit about good and bad to some extent
Your video summarizes almost every reason of why this series is so special to me and one of my all time pieces of fiction period. And I absolutely agree with you about Togashi's approach to storytelling. He fearlessly breaks conventions and allows the story to unfold naturally based on the characters' motives, which adds an element of unpredictability while still making everything feel logical in retrospect. I interpretated that in this moment Gon's head was in a lonely battle btw instinticts and humanity. He is guided by his instinticts throught out the whole series, and his choices make him belive he was in the right, that he was human by the concepts of the new society he came across and by the concept of the people who created him (His aunt and great-grandma), but in that moment he sees himself nothing but in the wrongh, showing him the world is not as simple as "Follow what ur heart desire" (Btw im not affirming who was in the wrongh or right here, okay?), he desires to heal Kite, and he knows he needs to because is the right thing to do, right? Because he needs to do something after not being strong enought to protect him, right? But then why should he attack someone who's doing the same? How is that demonical thing being kind and protective over a weaker human? Why? How? Who? That type of complicated enigmas broked him in that firts part, and it implifes even more the Arcs theme, in my view, there's the concept of good and evil. Still i loved ur interpretation of it!! Is really diff and i didnt thought about it
I always thought its called hunter hunter because thats what gon is. His only reason to become a hunter is to track down ging who is another hunter so that makes gon a hunter hunter in contrast to ging(ruins hunter), morel(sea hunter), cheadle(disease hunter), the gourmet hunter from hunter exam, etc. Finding out that togashi loves gaki no tsukai is a huge welcome surprise.
Seeing some these beautiful panels again to hearing about Togashi issues again to the manner Mugen talks honestly made me tear up a bit. HxH is one of the greatest things I've ever read and I apperciate you for showing just how much detail and care Togashi put into his manga
Great video! HxH is my favourite manga/anime, and as an artist myself I admire so much the style of Togashi Sensei; it's incredible how with only few panels he is capable of so much, full of emotions and feelings. Honorific mention to the YorkShin arc on the 99 anime version, it's a VIBE.
It took watching another analysis of Meruem's fight with Netero for me to realize the point about humans being no different from the ants. Originally my take was that Netero had resolve and Meruem was being naive and wish washy. Humanity would never accept his terms especially given the bloodeshed required. But I don't think that was Togashi's intent. I think he was making the point that Netero was a bloodknight like Hisoka and that he would have never reasoned with Meruem no matter what he proposed. Netero had convinced himself that Meruem was a threat and this was just the justification he needed to face the most powerful opponent he ever could to death.
@@mugenbop it's really interesting how Toagashi flips the script on idealized characters. Gon and Ging get the same treatment. Especially in the first arc Gon's reckless behavior amd naiveté are portrayed positively and everyone who knows Ging praises him. But we see what Gon's behavior gets him. Ging is actually hated by most of the Association and called out for being an absent father. He even just looks like a disheveled hobo as opposed his implied handsome idealized appearance in flashbacks and such.
You limiting leorio’s character. He wants to be a doctor because he couldn’t save his friend and he needs money to do that. He doesn’t just want money he wants to help people
regarding Leorio: I thought he wanted money so he can become a doctor, not the other way around? his friend died of a treatable desease when he was a kid, because they didnt have the money to afford it. so Leorio wanted to become a doctor and help people for free, but he found that to become a doctor you need even more money. its also one of the earliest points the story really got me. I assumed already that there was more behind Leorio's shallow personality, but I didnt expect it to touch me so closely. maybe its because the problem Leorio describes and the trauma he endured isnt just some cookie cutter personal drama we all know from shonen anime, but instead a systemic injustice, that we are familiar with from our own world and that screws the lifes of so many people for no good reason. I cant stop talking about this series, nor do I want to stop, its just so compelling. if you take anything away from this series about our own world, I hope its not that humans are nasty and bad by nature, because hxh also shows the absolute beauty of humanity. what I take is that the systems people erect are unjust, because they benefit themselves and reflect their privileged ideology. like Netero. while I adore his character, he's not a good person, and he implemented a cruel system of his own design, that reflects his personal values and looks down upon those he deems unworthy. whereas killua teaches us how powerful and world changing compassion and friendship can be. the "passing of the torch of kindness" as described by Alekzandr's channel is something profoundly beautfiul. its about getting rid of corrupt and unjust systems and reach out to those who are like us and can be brothers and sisters and anything in between. much love to you all
This is such a bealtiful interpretation!! I always thought about how much HxH talks about the effects of love and kindness within his theme, and their contraparts, hate and cruelty, i loved the way u put this here. Humans are delicated beings, and i think HxH show us this with perfection
Another awesome video. Hunter x Hunter is my favourite and I always love hearing people talk about it! Loved this analysis :) Hearing about Togashi’s health is always heartbreaking, man. Really hope he can finish someday. As much as I want to see it complete, more that that it seems it’s something he wants to see through too.
I seriously can't articulate what i feel when i read hunter x hunter. It makes me feel so "moved". It touches some part in my heart that even i don't know. Never thought in my whole live i will weep over an ant. And being depressed over the love story of a blind girl and an ant. This show is amazing and there is a lot of aspect that so magnificent in this work. And i feel that your video share those feelings for me. I'm happy that you discover this manga too. Such a masterpiece.
I will always love when people appreciate the beauty and greatness of hxh. It is underrated in the depth it has on the characters and themes. But good job on the vids man
Togashi could make us cried over the death of an overpowered, sinister monster, by making him fall in love with a simple, powerless, blind girl. That's how frickin' genius Togashi is
It's amazing to see how almost everyone here has their own moment in the story where they were like "wow, this is something unique", a moment where it just clicks in your head and you know this is a special story. For me, it was by the end of the Third Phase during the exam, when they were in that last room with an awful choice to make and everything pointed towards a battle between them, and then Gon just had the idea of breaking the walls to reach for the short tunnel, oh my god the little me was stunned, and I still love HxH with all of my heart, it's my favorite show ever, together with Twin Peaks by David Lynch, curiously both are very dark and surreal, but can also be childish and funny.
i can't thank you enough for making this video, hxh has been my fav manga for years now and seeing someone express my thoughts so accurately makes me so happy:)
that’s why HxH will always be my favorite anime/manga. it has so many depths, and before i started to watch it i just thought it would be like every other anime I’ve seen, but it’s so much more than that. thank you for making this video! you explained everything just right to where i could picture it myself, you have a new sub
This video popped up in my recommendations a few days ago, I finally got to see it and I really, really enjoyed it~ An amazing work, and it's so well edited. Can't wait to see more videos like this one ♡
hxh is my go to example of how to actually subvert expectations in a good way. I only watched it for the first time a few years ago, and it totally reminded me in alot of ways of what I've seen before. the hunter exam felt like the chuunin exam in naruto, Netero was basically Muten Roshi from dragonball, a quirky, perverted old master, who would guide our young protagonist towards his true potential ... boy was I wrong! and what hxh does right where other subversions fail is that instead of giving us what we expect it gives us something better, more compelling, deeper and more satisfying. its also foreshadowed very well, if not stated outright. Netero wasnt consciously "training" the boys, he wanted to pass boredom and have fun. when Gon slammed his head against the wall, Netero half expected him to be dead and didnt seem very much concerned about that. and why would he? the whole exam has seen people bite it by the dozens and he doesnt give a damn. and unlike in Naruto, where you could argue its about geo-political influence and thus not one person does have enough say over how the whole thing is run, this exam in hxh is Netero's doing. anyway, the final phase of the exam also shows is nasty sense of entertainment and values. then in york new we are introduced to a bunch of characters, who are quite compelling honestly, and then half of them are killed without fanfare. the others are barely even involved anymore, and its totally fine because we are at the same time introduced to much more compelling characters in the phantom troupe. again hxh robbing us of one thing only to give us something even better. and I dont have to begin talking about chimera ant ... I never in my life have so wished for a character to die so many times and couldnt wait to see them being crushed, and yet shed tears in genuine sorrow and regret when they did die. hxh is magic, pure human dark magic.
never read or seen hxh, but it's one of my oldest brother's favorites. my brother introduced me to another series of Togashi's, Yu Yu Hakusho. i watched all 100+ episodes and absolutely loved it. i loved how the series started out with practically no blood, but as it went on it started to get darker and darker. each arc was captivating, each character was likeable (i might even say loveable - especially Kurama for obvious reasons...i'm a teenage girl let me simp over pretty boys ok) and i just loved the valuable messages it taught. if anything, this video makes me want to watch some of hunterxhunter too. i bet it's just as great
Man, I gotta reread the whole thing because of you now xD No matter how long it takes, I can wait for years for just a single new chapter of HxH and however long Togashi can keep doing this, I will be eternally grateful for everything he's given me already.
Togashi ia genius. He loves subtexts. The way he scattered subtexts of Killua romantic feelings to Gon is everywhere. Not talking about friendship or brotherhood kinda, but romantic kind. As for Gon’s feeling towards Killua is more subdued save Greed Island’s one remark “no one else can do but Killua”.
I like your approach of the horror and weirdness of Hunter X Hunter. Not many influencers focus on that. I hope that if someone tries to make a movie out of it, they can grab the beautiful cruelty of it.
I pray that Togashi gets to complete his story safety and I hope he lives long enough to see Hunter x Hunter regarded as one of the most unique manga ever created. This man is a genius when it comes to story telling just Oda. And I believe both men write peak fiction.
Minor correction: Downtown is the name of a comedy duo which has hosted like a dozen shows featuring the group's name in the title. The manga simply states "Downtown's show" is the inspiration for the name so we're kind of left to guess which one it was - probably Gaki no Tsukai, by far the most popular, longest running, and influential series even beyond Japan's borders. For those not familiar with the show, it is mostly known outside Japan for their 24 hour annual no laughing special and the recurring Silent Library series which MTV later lifted for their own American series. Definitely recommend checking some of their stuff out; it's one of those things you need to jump into and makes more sense the more of it you watch and can identify recurring jokes, characters, etc.
before this i had only seen the anime, but i think seeing a lot of the panels and hearing the commentary has convinced me to read the manga too. great video
thanks man :) it took a bit but partially because editing for me is the least exciting part of making a video and just feels like chipping at a rock. Otherwise just trial and error with the pacing
@@mugenbop I feel you on that, that’s the reason I only have 1 upload on this channel right now, I just need the motivation and I’d be doing video essays like you too. Regardless though props to you for being dedicated enough to actually do it and not be lazy about it.
I'm not sure if this may help but what I do when I feel I am not improving is I go to my oldest video on my channel and kinda cringe because it isn't what I wanted to make originally, but compared to now I am very satisfied. Start making anything and you will slowly find that motivation when you see how much each video can be better :)
Great video! I've always found hxh's paneling especially intriguing and even unsettling at times. I will never forget the first time i read chp 90 and amongst the usual child-like drawings of the characters and buildings where machi and nobunaga are just walking down the streets, suddenly there is a creepy panel strip of realistic-looking (presumingly homeless?) children just sitting on the ground staring at you. It just came outta nowhere that it caught me off guard. My first thought was that it was creepy, but then again i think about how most people if they saw this irl they wouldn't bat an eye. Togashi's usage of inserting somewhat semi-realistic faces into hxh to create a certain atmosphere is so interesting to me. Other than the obvious ones like the covers of chrollo, beyond, morena etc, he inserts it in backgrounds and places where it shouldn't be, like when ging and pariston meet and suddenly there is a grainy realistic picture of a woman smiling on the tv, and then in pariston's explanation too. I don't see that in shonen.
fucking. spectacular. your video has shown me another side to this series and after so many years and rewatches and watching other videos made about the series, im still finding out and discovering more. it really means a lot because for anyone else, these things would just be called people reaching and making things seem deeper and more meaningful than they ever were but that isnt the case with togashi. his world is amazing because its so lived in and rich. theres so much detail in that world thats intentional and it was ALWAYS there. it was just up to you to discover it. but all the pieces always fit together. thats how you know that the little things you find here and there over the years DO mean something in the world or to the story or to the characters. well done.
Glad people still make videos on hxh. The lastest chapters really made me question myself on whether to side with the phantom troupe or against their actions. Before i pretty much hated them but things change and now I'm feeling for uvo and that other gun girl 😭. Hoping for HXH for a comeback in anime soon
Amazing video!!!HxH is one of my favorite animes/mangas and this video really showed me things that i didn't see, despite it being one of my favorite shows.Keep up the great work!!
amazing video :) i don’t usually tend to like analysis videos of my favorite medias, but your delivery is very good, and i absolutely agree with the points you make. would love to see more videos analyzing HxH from you, in case you have more things left to say about it!
DISCLAIMER/CORRECTIONS: Togashi does have assistsants but based on a report, he does not overburden them with too much of his own work this rendering part of their jobs null as he places more work on himself, for whatever reason. I misspoke and did not elaborate. 2. Yes Leorio becomes a doctor to help those who can’t afford healthcare I put an asterisk “Among other reasons” for the sake of brevity and because I wanted to highlight people’s reasons for becoming hunters can be shallow and he does at first want only money when we first meet him, seeing him later do it for genuine reasons also shows the dualities of those who choose to become hunters. No diss to Leorio he is chad.

I don't know if we ever get to see the dark continent, but seemed like the story will move to the horror of war and humanity (chimera ants), to politics (king selection battle on the ship), and then to some lovecraftian horror with the deadliest disasters
this video popped up in my recommended a few days ago, but was a bit busy to watch it at the time. i regret that. this video is really well done! instant sub, and cant wait to see more vids like this in the future!
Regarding the "Start Over" Tweet, it is possible he's referencing a recent Jump motion manga commercial they made of HxH that had a song called Start Over, said song is also allegedly sung by an idol group Togashi is a big fan of. Probably was listening the song on repeat then 😂
Okay so imo and what I personally understood about Leorio wasn’t he purely wanted money, yes it was a HUGE part of his desire but his true desire was to help and cure diseases in meteor city bc his best childhood friend died of one that was preventable.
There's something about hunterxhunter that attracts me which is things are not predictable, you hear the other shonen protagonists repeating that they "would never give up" or "I'M NOT DONE YET!!!", they keep trying again and and again till they defeat their opponent, in HxH it doesn't go this way. in the Chimera ants arc we see Gon and Killua failing and getting another chance to prove themselves through a certain challenge but.... things must go this way, the characters just don't have what it takes yet, he doesn't just buff them to fit in, he drew limits and conditions for his characters power levels and if it happen and a certain character surpasses those limits...there will be consequences.
I hope Togashi's health improves, he has concocted such an amazing world and it would be a shame to not see it fully fleshed out.
Here’s hoping :)
He posted a panel just last October on X.
Yeah! I saw he was about to start his work on the next set of chapters! I'm so excited, I hope he continues to take it easy and improve his health :)

That type of complicated enigmas broked him in that firts part, and it implifes even more the Arcs theme, in my view, there's the concept of good and evil. Still i loved ur interpretation of it!! Is really diff and i didnt thought about it
"Gon wanted to heal Kite for Ging's sake"
What kinda insane headcannon is this?
@@tompatompsson They didn’t show his relationship with Kite.
@@Spino-hx2mr You mean they didn't show the one scene in the beginning. But my point is that he wants to heal him for gings sake is crazy.
Beautiful video, HxH is truly a masterpiece in storytelling and worldbuilding.
PS: Loved your use of various Final Fantasy tracks
Thanks man always love final fantasy
even bof and bg3!
WELL THAT WOULD BE TRICK, AHAHAHAHA!! But really, i cant think of another type of Hunter for Gon to be then a Hunter of Hunters
Seeing some these beautiful panels again to hearing about Togashi issues again to the manner Mugen talks honestly made me tear up a bit. HxH is one of the greatest things I've ever read and I apperciate you for showing just how much detail and care Togashi put into his manga
Glad you enjoyed, I can see how much you love HxH :)
It really is a vibe in 99 York new
Genuinely love the production and editing in these videos, they flow so well.
Thanks been trying to get better :)
@@mugenbop it's really showing man, hope you're proud, you know I gotta come through and support the boy!
I am but the next video will be the real challenge :)
That is really cool side and angle I wish I had more time to divulge, it really says a lot just about humanity :)
He doesn’t just want money he wants to help people
Yeah, I mean, he grew up in one of the poorest ghettos, I believe.
regarding Leorio: I thought he wanted money so he can become a doctor, not the other way around? his friend died of a treatable desease when he was a kid, because they didnt have the money to afford it.
so Leorio wanted to become a doctor and help people for free, but he found that to become a doctor you need even more money.
its also one of the earliest points the story really got me.
Loved this analysis :)
Hearing about Togashi’s health is always heartbreaking, man. Really hope he can finish someday. As much as I want to see it complete, more that that it seems it’s something he wants to see through too.
Thanks for watching :) I really hope he can self care and take his time to be healthy before working those hours and with help
100%@@mugenbop
You lowkey explain things so well. Togashi is rlly good at making things unsettling when he needs to or just suddenly to give you a whiplash lmao
I low key try haha, togashi has refined such a skill
I seriously can't articulate what i feel when i read hunter x hunter. It makes me feel so "moved". It touches some part in my heart that even i don't know. Never thought in my whole live i will weep over an ant. And being depressed over the love story of a blind girl and an ant. This show is amazing and there is a lot of aspect that so magnificent in this work. And i feel that your video share those feelings for me. I'm happy that you discover this manga too. Such a masterpiece.
12:09 this is gaza i know it... thanks for bringing this up man.
I will always love when people appreciate the beauty and greatness of hxh. It is underrated in the depth it has on the characters and themes. But good job on the vids man
Cheers, it is cool to see so many sides of it from every arc and aspect :)
Togashi could make us cried over the death of an overpowered, sinister monster, by making him fall in love with a simple, powerless, blind girl. That's how frickin' genius Togashi is
Bro the music you chose for this video, forcibly opened my nen nodes. Great work
You've been killing it recently dude good video thank you
Thanks glad you like it :)
Watched another of manga content but I like how sincere and thought provoking your take are.
Thanks sir :)
BRAVO!!! Loved so much! Also using Balamb Garden's song was incredible too! Thanks for this content
This was one of the best video essays I've ever seen. Thank you so much.
Wow no Thankyou for watching :)
Another great video mugen. Love Hunter x Hunter hopefully we'll get an ending to it one day, also really enjoyed the ff8 tracks you threw in there!
Big fan of ff8, I think an ending would be a very wild time for sure
i can't thank you enough for making this video, hxh has been my fav manga for years now and seeing someone express my thoughts so accurately makes me so happy:)
that’s why HxH will always be my favorite anime/manga. it has so many depths, and before i started to watch it i just thought it would be like every other anime I’ve seen, but it’s so much more than that. thank you for making this video! you explained everything just right to where i could picture it myself, you have a new sub
Thanks man glad you liked it :)
I never in my life have so wished for a character to die so many times and couldnt wait to see them being crushed, and yet shed tears in genuine sorrow and regret when they did die.
hxh is magic, pure human dark magic.
never read or seen hxh, but it's one of my oldest brother's favorites.
my brother introduced me to another series of Togashi's, Yu Yu Hakusho. i watched all 100+ episodes and absolutely loved it. i loved how the series started out with practically no blood, but as it went on it started to get darker and darker. each arc was captivating, each character was likeable (i might even say loveable - especially Kurama for obvious reasons...i'm a teenage girl let me simp over pretty boys ok) and i just loved the valuable messages it taught.
if anything, this video makes me want to watch some of hunterxhunter too. i bet it's just as great
Hope you enjoy it if you decide to watch it; however be warned you will become a manga reader to this series if you end up loving it :)
How old is your oldest brother?
This is one of the best videos I’ve seen in a while on hxh. Definitely earned my subscription
This is a great video. Your content has improved so much since I first saw one of your videos a long while back.
Thanks man, RUclips tutorials I have to thank :)
I like your approach of the horror and weirdness of Hunter X Hunter. Not many influencers focus on that. I hope that if someone tries to make a movie out of it, they can grab the beautiful cruelty of it.
Love this video, Mugen always puts out bangers
Thanks man I appreciate it :)
I pray that Togashi gets to complete his story safety and I hope he lives long enough to see Hunter x Hunter regarded as one of the most unique manga ever created.
This man is a genius when it comes to story telling just Oda.
And I believe both men write peak fiction.
Great video - love all the FF8 music
cheers, appreciate it :)
Definitely recommend checking some of their stuff out; it's one of those things you need to jump into and makes more sense the more of it you watch and can identify recurring jokes, characters, etc.
thanks for the clarify :)
before this i had only seen the anime, but i think seeing a lot of the panels and hearing the commentary has convinced me to read the manga too. great video
can tell you put your heart into your content keep it up congrats on 20k
cheers :)
I really liked your video essay it was super enjoyable, I can’t imagine how long it took to edit this
thanks man :) it took a bit but partially because editing for me is the least exciting part of making a video and just feels like chipping at a rock. Otherwise just trial and error with the pacing
@@mugenbop I know what you mean i used to make videos a lot and editing is always the most annoying part, especially finding the clips
bro. sourcing footage is the bane of my existence and shall forever be the worst part
I really love your choice of FF8 and BG3 music for background ambiance. Also, great video.
Many thanks for this amazing video ❤
No worries thanks for watching :)
fucking. spectacular. your video has shown me another side to this series and after so many years and rewatches and watching other videos made about the series, im still finding out and discovering more.
it really means a lot because for anyone else, these things would just be called people reaching and making things seem deeper and more meaningful than they ever were but that isnt the case with togashi. his world is amazing because its so lived in and rich. theres so much detail in that world thats intentional and it was ALWAYS there. it was just up to you to discover it. but all the pieces always fit together. thats how you know that the little things you find here and there over the years DO mean something in the world or to the story or to the characters. well done.
Glad people still make videos on hxh. The lastest chapters really made me question myself on whether to side with the phantom troupe or against their actions. Before i pretty much hated them but things change and now I'm feeling for uvo and that other gun girl 😭. Hoping for HXH for a comeback in anime soon
This was a really good video. Thank you for your work. It's edit very well.

Excellent Video, well done!! Thank you!!!
This channel is so underrated, would love to see a video on attack on titan by you

I don't know if we ever get to see the dark continent, but seemed like the story will move to the horror of war and humanity (chimera ants), to politics (king selection battle on the ship), and then to some lovecraftian horror with the deadliest disasters

Awesome video 🔥
Thanks for the visit :)
bro ur narration was amazing
Glad you think so, I practice a bit :)
Regarding the "Start Over" Tweet, it is possible he's referencing a recent Jump motion manga commercial they made of HxH that had a song called Start Over, said song is also allegedly sung by an idol group Togashi is a big fan of.
Probably was listening the song on repeat then 😂
Yeah probs :)
Okay so imo and what I personally understood about Leorio wasn’t he purely wanted money, yes it was a HUGE part of his desire but his true desire was to help and cure diseases in meteor city bc his best childhood friend died of one that was preventable.
Love that you used so much imagery from the manga. It's really underrated and in my humble opinion a lot more visually interesting than the anime.
The way you describe...stuff is making me subscribe, I've gotta go thru ur catalog

I like how you put the DQ8 themes. And It gives a thrilled of terror.
