I’m gonna guess the stalker was the lie, because you seemed very passionate about the white trenchcoat and I feel a theatre that small would DEFINITELY break fire codes for people like that 😂😂😂😂😂

you talking about JD not being as a ghost in the end of Heathers makes me think about how, for the closing night of the uk tour earlier this year, Jacob Fowler (JD) was there with Kurt, Ram and Heather C. in the end... so I think (and hope) the stalker one is the lie because thats just creepy.

Ik winona ryder did see the show at some point, im pretty sure ive seen pictures of her with the off broadway cast but i think the bit about the other dude (bill cristal?) May have been a lie- or at least a half truth.
The white trenchcoat could also be a lie, as although ryan did seem passionate about it, he is an actor. Its kind of his job to pretend and convice people he isnt.

At the end of the very recent UK tour (2023) Jacob (JD's actor) came out on the balcony at the end, but in the usual outfit, he did this at the last 2 shows of the tour (which I was lucky enough to witness both live)

At first I was like "is this clickbait?" because I had read that Winona Ryder saw the original Joe's Pub workshop and was so moved by it... but I was kind of wrong?
I feel like it would be like Ryan to make the lie a small detail in one of the stories lol. My best guess is that Christian Slater also saw Heathers in Hollywood and not in New York like he said. But if it is just one of the big three, I feel like the stalker is the least likely. Or at least it wasn't that serious.
There was coverage in Broadway media of Christian seeing the show in New York.
The story with Winona was so colorable, it seems like totally true. If something looks very truish it`s a lie, so i guess Ryan made his howework well and that story`s made-up
its the costume designer, amy clark did the costume design for heathers, genevieve tyrell for liv and maddie. i may be wrong but im a costume design nerd lol

i think that the white trenchcoat was the lie because if they had that idea, why would they wait till the end when JD dies to
add that in? If i saw JD, Kurt, Ram and Heather suddenly appear in white for only the end, it would be hard to follow because the original three were never in white. Also the stalker one seems true because some people are actually insane and won't give up on being creepy. Also, why wouldn't you wanna stalk someone as iconic as ryan?

About jd being the antagonist. Literally every heathers fan I’ve ever talked to (online or irl) don’t hate jd. Like of course we hate him when hes making Veronica sad or killing her friends but all the other times we adore him
i dont hate jd, i think hes a good character. however, i dont support his actions at all and i will not excuse him

hey, i just auditioned for my school musical and was cut. i thought this would be a good place to share because a lot of you would be part of the theatre community. i’ve never been cut in a show before and i just want to know if any of you have tips on how to cope. when i saw the cast list i had a panic attack and now im hiding in my school bathroom, what would you guys do?
okay just stumbled upon this, so it's def late but I would 100% recommend joining stage crew. so much fun and a great way to stay connected in the theater community:)

Fire codes is a lie...I suppose a theater could have that happen, maybe even on purpose, but I seriously doubt the actors or anyone else involved in the production would have any reason to know (or care) about building codes or occupancy codes.
