In fact, he's quite popular and loved. His lyrics may be harsh and brutally honest, but he is a very phlegmatic and funny guy. You absolutely have to react to one of his "Bloqués" episodes (acting/very short videos) ❤
I sadly think that Serge le mytho would be too difficult for a foreigner to understand, too much verlan. Even French people over 50 Can not understand... Or few of them.
Pls never stop reacting, you clearly understand everytime the subject of what you see it's so pleasent...and impressive because it's not even your main language. Respect
Really happy that you followed this recommendation ! One of his best titles. Permanent buildup to sudden crash ! And yes he's angry. And we're at a breaking point. The world is full of gasoline fumes. 1 spark away from explosion
Petit coucou. I love your reactions, the fact that you're learning french with this is very impressive, watching and listening to things like this taught me english so it's nice to see someone do the same thing and get similar results, and even better, you completely understand why I love this dude's music so much and have basically the exact same opinion on him, keep up the good content. Also you should definitly react to "Du propre", that one is real nice
Met him once will working on the backstage. He's the nicest and chill human being I met in the music world. I think he's just a mindful guy far away from the blingbling. He's been hated early in his careers because he used to play characters on early songs and made that song called "sale p**e" of a guy disappointed by his wife cheating on him and ready to off himself or her. Apart from the people already knowing his work and his style, the whole french television who just discovered him called him machist misogynistic etc etc... But then he had various other albums and most of em were instant number one.
Another one that is really good from Orelsan is "Manifeste". The storytelling is absolutely crazy. I'd love to watch your reaction for that song. Thanx for your video !!
I completely agree with you. The text can talk about any country. Orelsan is one of the best French writers of his generation in terms of rap, he is too brilliant. He also made a film: “Comment c'est loin”, a short program and his brother made a series in 2 seasons, it’s great. It's called "ne montre jamais ça a personne" and he's been filming it everywhere, all the time for 25 years. So you see all the work and the crazy evolution. It's exciting. I recommended

Thank you for this reaction. Orelsan has been my favorite rapper for 10 years now, what we like about him is that we have been able to grow and evolve at the same time as him through his albums, and this song is in my opinion one of his best, which clearly exposes the new malaise of our society in the world for people who are or are almost thirty. He is as usual very fair, simply gives truths, without diversions, and that's why we love him.
Hello mate! You should listen to "Notes pour trop tard" (reminder for when it's too late). It's a different vibe but it's deep, truthful and helpful to a lot of people everytime they hear it. Definitely one to listen to.

French here! I love your videos so much, it's very interesting to watch Orelsan (and other pieces of French culture) from your own perspective. I believe he's actually pretty liked here, he's a true artist and raps like a prophet. I still remember exactly the first time I listened to L'odeur de l'Essence: I could feel my throat thightening, almost suffocating with every word, chest hurting. On another note, I would gladly recommend you "La Quête" and "Jour meilleur" from him, the first one talks about his private life and the second is like a balm on a broken heart :) Merci pour ces belles reviews!
I really appreciate your videos and the fact that you go out of your way to share foreign content with an English-speaking audience. Hi from France. Since you already discovered Ultra Vomit and Orelsan, you should definitely watch "Doigts de Metal". It's Ultra Vomit mimicking Orelsan's voice, with a lot of references to Orelsan's clips and a lot of other things. Really fun.
Hi ! I'm French, I just discover your channel and I'm already so fan ! Orelsan is a genius ! I watched Your react about big flo et Oli as well. They have so many good songs. Fun fact : Orelsan & big flo et Oli are friends but fews years ago Orelsan refused a feat with them. Since it become a running gag in the interviews, in the songs ect so Everyone is waiting for the feat one day ! Also Oli did a freestyle of 10 minutes in live in the radio. You should listening it I'm sure you will love the performance !
Oy ! I've just watched your video on Bigflo & Oli, now this one. Looks like you loved both, so I can only suggest you "Orelsan - Emeutes", less known, but really impactful too ;)
This song is a masterpiece!!! I will always remember the feeling I had when I first listen to it years ago! Happy that you discover it! Greetings from Switzerland!
If you liked his songs, you might want to take a look at his documentary (made by his little brother) available on prime. It is called "montre jamais ça à personne" ("do not show this to anyone, ever"). It is really interesting to watch and understand the beggining of his artist carreer and the rising of popularity.
Such a nice reaction ! I've recently discovered your channel and watch many of the french videos/music reactions ! Since you know french, it's even more enjoyable because you can hear the play on words and the poetry in some of the lyrics. Just wondering, how did you learn french and for how many years did you study it ?
Bonjour !
Like you, I think we've reached a turning point in our history. In the 80s, after the oil crisis, we already thought the system was going to collapse, but the states managed to keep the banks in place by injecting money everywhere. Except that today, after the crises of 2008 and 2020, we're paying the price for keeping our economic system on life support. The climate and social crises are adding to the burden. Days may not be any better in the future, but we'll be teaching the next generations a lesson: the 1% will never win.
HI from France ! In fact yeah he's pretty loved by the mainstage from 8 years old to 60 but actually a lot of Big fan of rap dont really like him because he's too "mainstream" and because its the cliché of the raper loved by middle class white guys (in majority because its what he is so it is what it is)
If you want to discover more of Orelsan, i suggest "plus rien ne m'étonne" you shall love it... There is also many more like "note pour trop tard" but unfortunatly no videoclip for them... Merci pour vos reacts
I really loike this guy. The music is good... the lyrics are good. And although he is a rapper, he doesn't fall into all the "clichés"... the bling bling etc
6:25 The worst thing is that he is neither really loved nor really hated, he is mostly ignored and set aside. Others like MaitreGims have dozens or even hundreds of times more views and there is almost no deep meaning to what they say.
He really raps what he thinks without worrying about the repercussions, it's a song that is related to "social suicide". As we say in French : "Il n'y a que la vérité qui blesse" = Only the truth hurts" I don't like rap in general but the lyrics of some rappers are true, virulent and reflect the reality of our current society regardless of the country. We are all in the same boat. Too bad it's the Titanic
In france Orelsan is loved in large majority, but you can do your idea on the man by doing a reaction on his documentary (one of the best for an artist) create by his brother on prime video "Ne montre jamais ça à personne".
Listen "casseurs flowter " with his best friend and rapper too "gringe" they've made lot songs , and they're incredible, they have made a film on their friendship and their live.
Thank you for paying attention to what countries out there produce wich is simply being open minded. That said, I think that calling Orelsan punch lines are "the truth" as you said about "Suicide Social" and this title is just a misunderstanding of his posture. Many of his punchlines are to be considered under a sarcastic point of view. As you said about Suicide Social, it is a laundry list. To be taken just like it comes out the social media : rough and raw, true and false. Moreover, in Suicide Social, the story is being told by a guy who is about to give himself death. A desperado, literally. Someone who opens the gates to his despair, anger and eventually hatred. And many misunderstood that and took his talent to drop killer punchlines as if they were the foundation of a common sense philosophy. I think it is the fair and meanwhile the opposite. Yourself stressed this idea : no one is trying to listen nor understand but all want to express themselves. In the name of the common sense. This so called right for everyone to claim cleverness. But first of all : are most us clever? Idoubt it. Isn't "common sense" just you very first reaction to a random event when you are angry or drunk. Or with a bunch of angry and drunk fellas? This second way of understanding, a underneath grid of reading Orelsan lyrics makes all of his talent. My opinion ofc.
In fact, he's quite popular and loved. His lyrics may be harsh and brutally honest, but he is a very phlegmatic and funny guy. You absolutely have to react to one of his "Bloqués" episodes (acting/very short videos) ❤

The funny thing is that he's a very chill and lovely guy 😄 Just exposing/questioning shitty things in our current societies
Hello 👋 Orelsan : Manifeste. 👍
He's won two times les victoires de la musique, only rapper to do this in France, you have to listen "san by orelsan"
If you liked his songs, you might want to take a look at his documentary (made by his little brother) available on prime. It is called "montre jamais ça à personne" ("do not show this to anyone, ever"). It is really interesting to watch and understand the beggining of his artist carreer and the rising of popularity.
Still true years after release unfortunatelly.
Such a nice reaction ! I've recently discovered your channel and watch many of the french videos/music reactions ! Since you know french, it's even more enjoyable because you can hear the play on words and the poetry in some of the lyrics. Just wondering, how did you learn french and for how many years did you study it ?
Bonjour !
You absolutely have to react to one of his "Bloqués" episodes (acting/very short ) humurostic like Pamalshow but in the Orelsan universe
Childish Gambino - This is America, from music to rap, clip included. At such a pace, it's impossible to hide behind a reference or to pay homage.
You should do '' Tout va bien'' it's one of his more sad song because of how true it is
Like you, I think we've reached a turning point in our history.
Don't worry man he speacks about the world, he just resumed the entire world in one title !
❤ love you ❤️
HI from France ! In fact yeah he's pretty loved by the mainstage from 8 years old to 60 but actually a lot of Big fan of rap dont really like him because he's too "mainstream" and because its the cliché of the raper loved by middle class white guys (in majority because its what he is so it is what it is)
Ah bah enfin !
The One. OrelSan❤
thanks dude !
If you want to discover more of Orelsan, i suggest "plus rien ne m'étonne" you shall love it... There is also many more like "note pour trop tard" but unfortunatly no videoclip for them...
from france : he fucked up the game ♥
You know you're right when you piss off the far right and the far left; that's orelsan
I really loike this guy. The music is good... the lyrics are good. And although he is a rapper, he doesn't fall into all the "clichés"... the bling bling etc
6:25 The worst thing is that he is neither really loved nor really hated, he is mostly ignored and set aside. Others like MaitreGims have dozens or even hundreds of times more views and there is almost no deep meaning to what they say.
yeaaah the chills
Salut continue comme ça 👍👍
Interesting French to English subtitles are way more reliable than the other way around
He really raps what he thinks without worrying about the repercussions, it's a song that is related to "social suicide". As we say in French : "Il n'y a que la vérité qui blesse" = Only the truth hurts"
I don't like rap in general but the lyrics of some rappers are true, virulent and reflect the reality of our current society regardless of the country. We are all in the same boat. Too bad it's the Titanic
Orelsan Is a fantastic artist with an amazing flow ! Glad you enjoyed this song
Merci !
I love orelsan mostly "paradis" and "plus rien ne m'étonne"
You should try Fauve - Blizzard next ;)
Orelsan is our genius🇨🇵
React to Tout va bien whith english subtitles
Its a beautiful song
Watch " bloqué" with him . Very funny stuff ;-)
Merci D !
It's the name of a bird 😊
Tout va bien. C'est un super titre
You should watch bloqué, orelsan is in it
